Ontario Tire Stewardship (OTS) was established in 2009 and is incorporated under Ontario’s Waste Diversion Act. OTS operates the Used Tires Program, a province-wide tire recycling program that has diverted 33 million tires from burning and landfills.

We work together with innovative Ontario companies to ensure a sustainable

future for the tire recycling industry. Our network of haulers, processors and

recycled product manufacturers has created a $40-million industry and

hundreds of new jobs in Ontario. The manufacturers we work with have

developed dozens of new products for the landscaping industry and for the

construction industry as a whole. These products have lead to innovations for

people’s homes, backyards, offices, sports facilities and public spaces.
