Deliver Product Orders that Surprise & DelightWhen you deliver your product orders to customers, consider if you’ve selected a professional presentation that enhances the Mary Kay brand. Use an attractive bag – one of Mary Kay’s branded bags is always a safe choice. You might add tissue paper or ribbon. You can insert a beauty tip or a few words of inspiration on a note card. A handful of pink hard candies or a bookmark with your favorite Mary Kay quote can make your customer feel appreciated. Be creative!

Practice Extreme EmpathyIn some company cultures, a customer interaction begins by recommending a product or solution to a customer before the customer has been listened to, understood and validated. It’s not surprising that many women feel they have not been heard. Listen to your customers! Ask them about their needs, their lifestyle; their budgets. Then, deliver the products and uniquely personal service each customer needs to enrich her life. Practice empathy until it is second nature.

Deliver Acts of KindnessSmall kindnesses go a long way. Zane’s Cycles, a bicycle shop in Connecticut, gives away any item that a customer is in a panic about finding that costs less than a dollar. Imagine the father with a 10-year-old son whose bike is broken. Just one stop at Zane’s to repair a broken chain and they save the day – WITHOUT charging anything. These small heroics send customers away shaking their head in amazement – and bring them back with great loyalty. What small acts of kindness can you do for a customer to show her that Mary Kay is a company that celebrates People & Love? Maybe it’s a free sample of a new lip color before your customer’s big meeting or making an unscheduled trip to her home to deliver the Mary Kay Foundation she needs for a trip.

How Do I Love My Customers?Your best customers deserve all the love you can give. First, let them know you appreciate them. Create special value-added offers just for them. If you learn the Company is phasing out a shade of lipstick your customer loves, reach out to her ahead of time and offer her an opportunity to order before supplies are gone. Send customers notes letting them know you value your relationship with them and offer them 24-hour delivery service or a free makeup session with no obligation to buy.

Call Customers Who Have Left YouDon’t be afraid to reach out to customers who have left you. Apologize for not being in touch. Then listen. Asking why a customer left and then really listening and repeating back the reason is extremely powerful … and yet FEW DO THIS! Finally, ask to be given another chance. Offer a special welcome back offer to show your appreciation. Do you think the big store brands can do this? Of course not! But you have a unique, personal relationship with your customers. When your former customers realize you care enough to ask “what happened?” this personal interest differentiates you from the competition.

Break your goal into workable stepsFigure out exactly what it will take yearly, monthly, weekly and daily to attain your goal. A famous philosopher once pointed out, “It is by attempting to reach the top in a single leap that so much misery is caused in the world.” Remember in working to attain your goal that “inch by inch it is a cinch; but yard by yard, it’s hard!” You can eat an elephant one bite at a time. Tackle a small part of your goal first – AND DO IT WELL! Accomplishing a step at a time is better than having a great idea on paper. Break that goal down into workable steps.

Set a time limit on attaining your goal

Not only when to end, but when to begin! By putting a time limit on your goal, you automatically take it out of the realm of wishful thinking. Regardless of whether it’s a week, month or ten years, a deadline gives a much-needed sense of urgency and serves as an incentive toward reaching your goal. Plan and achieve, but remember that it is better to have tried and failed than never to have tried at all!

There will be different tabs based on your career level. a. Offspring tabb. Unit tabc. Team tab

By default, it will show all the data when the page is launched. However, every tab will have the filtering section which allow you to input and generate the listing based on your needs.a. Enter the criteriab. Click on ‘Search’ button to generate the listing OR you can click on ‘Reset’ button

to clear your filtering which you have input earlier.

You can choose to preview the results in ‘Contact info’ or ‘Profile info’. Contact Info contains information like phone number, addresses and email. As for Profile Info, it contains information like start date, last order date and last order production amount.

You can view your individual independent Beauty Consultant profile by clicking on their name.It will then take you to her/his ‘At-a-Glance’ page. (Please refer to December 2015 Applause for ‘At-a-Glance’ detailed features).

‘Click to View member list’ function is to view your independent Beauty Consultants. For example if you are at the Offspring tab, it will show the unit member of the selected offspring once you have clicked on the link.

This is a special function which enable you to print the labels of your independent Beauty Consultants (name & Address).a. Click on ‘Print Labels’ .b. Uncheck the consultant you do not want to print and then click ‘Create Labels’.c. Labels will be created in PDF. You may choose to save it and print later OR send

it to the printer for printing.

* Note: You need to use the labels with 3 columns.
