Discuss Sucesos de los Islas FilipinasIsa sa mga unang libro tungkol sa kasaysayan ng Pilipinas, Sucesos de las Islas Filipinas, ay sinulat ni Antonio de Morga. Ito ay isang sanaysay na nagpahiwatig ng mga pangyayari sa loob at labas ng bansa mula 1493 hanggang 1603, at sa kasaysayan ng Pilipinas mabuhat 1565. Ang sulatin ni Morga ay importante sapagkat siya ay isang royal official ng Espanya, isang keen observer, at kasama sa mga pangyayari sa bansa. Ang sakop ng librong ito ay ang pulitikal, sosyal, at ekonomikal na aspeto ng mga mananakop at sinasasakop. Kasama na rin ang mga praktikal na pang-araw araw ng mga gawain sa mga isla, polisiya ng gobyerno, at mga kalakasan at kahinaan nito.

Ang una hanggang pitong kabanata ay tungkol sa mga nahanap, nasakop, at iba pang nangyari sa bansa at sa mga kalapit na bansa hanggang sa administrasyon at sa pagkamatay ni Don Pedro Acua. Inihati ang mga kabanata ayon sa ibat ibang Espaol na namahala sa voyage ng Espanya at pati na sa bansa, tulad nila Legazpi, de Lavezaris, de Sande, de Pefialosa, de Vera, Dasmarias, Tello at iba pa. Ang ika-walong kabanata ay tungkol sa mga natives, gobyerno, conversions, at mga iba pang nangyari sa bansa na nakatuon sa mga Pilipino.
