Main Discoveries• The recruitment demand in the second quarter has

remained constant with the previous figure received from Q1 (Q1: 92%; Q2:90.8%).

•The data have demonstrated higher salary raises compared with the research result from last quarter. The maximal salary increase range had risen from 0%-5% to 5%-10%.

•Compare with the 9 percentage sharp decrease in the hiring needs from third-tier cities, the second-tier cities’ hiring demand has grown and reached 93.1%.

•The figure has showed a slump in the talent demand from manufacturing industries which has decreased to 80%. On the contrary, pharmaceutical, logistics and internet are three industries that are showing the highest recruitment demand.

•First-tier cities still see the highest salary rises.•Due to the severe talent competition, more than 14% of

new recruits could have large pay rises (more than 20%) in the automotive industry.

•As networking is playing a crucial role in today’s talent market, internal referrals have become an even more critical recruitment channel.

•Sales, marketing and product management are still the top 3 job specialisms that had the highest talent demand, which are 62%, 50% and 40% respectively.

•While the Internet industry has the highest recruitment demand, the product management talent is in short supply but great demand in the automotive industry.

•Multi-national enterprises are still offering 20% more high-pay jobs (10k/month) than state-own enterprises in terms of the scale of high-paying job volume.

•Headhunting services played a more vital role in the recruiting of senior positions in second quarter. State-own enterprises have largely increased the use of this recruitment service.

•The starting salaries for new graduates had remained in accordance with their education level. 47.4% of bachelor graduates could only get monthly incomes from 3k-5k, while only 22.2%/17.5% of master/PhD graduates were getting this amount of commencing salary.
