POUR IT LIKE THE RAIN Falling from heaven above, gentle drops of dew, mist and love. As i fall from the lap of clouds, i wonder, 'what if my colour changed at the strike of thunder?' Will i not be able to quench the thirst of Earth if i were of shades of black or brown? Won't i calm the angry land as i kiss the coolness down? Would i not seep inside the seeds and give birth to a new germinating life? And despite my dark colour won't the farmers feel right? the dooming debts won't they stop the loom? Won't the little creatures dance on my arrival? like the sparrows chirp and peacocks no less bridal! Or from the booming applause, by the clash of clouds. If i were painted in gold, will i make Earth a heaven, so cold? Or would i be able to remove poverty? and spread to the fullest, sovereignity? Would i be able to make everyone the ruler, and stop man from hating one another? But as the skies claimed me, i left my home and off i wandered... I got reminded, my colour wont change the world, that faded. Even if pearled, studded , golden i am, or in colours of black and brown i sang. I will always be the rain that poured, i will always be the rain that poured... ~ SIA KUMAR X - E
