Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya- Chitrakoot

   Diabetic retinopathy workshop: 14‐15 January, 2012 

SNC  has  organized  a  workshop  on  Diabetic  retinopathy  from 14th‐15th  January, 2012. The guest  faculty of  the workshop was Dr.  Rajiv  Raman,  Director,  VR  services,  Choithram  Netralaya, Indore and Ex – Senior Consultant, Sankara Netralaya, Chenna i. The workshop was based on Open House Case Discussion and Hands  on  training  on  FFA,  OCT,  B‐Scan.  Total  47  Participants took benefit of the workshop.  

Help‐me‐see project:  Help Me See team comprising of  its Vice‐Chairman Mr. Tie and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mohan along with Director (program and  field  operations)  Mr.  Venkatraman  visited  SNC  between January  24‐26,  2012  to  plan  how  the  services  of  SNC  can  be strengthened to double the reach of services.   After  the visit  to Chitrakoot elaborate discussions were held  in Delhi with Mr. Vishad Mafatlal, Chairman of Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh  Trust  where  in  broader  issues  of  partnership  were discussed  to  ensure  significant  reduction  in  blindness  in  the catchment population of SNC.      

Sadguru Parivar Netra yagna: 01st Jan‐30th Jan, 2012  With  all  blessings  of  our  Gurudev  (Param  pujya  Shri Ranchhoddas  ji maharaj),  the  team  of  sadguru  parivar  has organized a Netradan yagna in extension to the vision of our gurudev by providing  sight  to around 4000 poor and needy people.  The  team  comprised  of  Danabhai,  Mahendrabhai, Ishwarbhaia and all sadguru parivar  

  Arvind Eye Hospital visit  A team of clinicians, Administrators, managers, supervisors and  parmedical  staff  from Arvind  eye  care  system  visited SNC to observe sytems and as well how well SNC scaled up the capacity in the last 10 years.

With  the  blessings  of  param  pujya  Ranchhoddas  Ji Maharaj,  4th  Live  laparoscopic  Surgery  Workshop  was organized  by  Shri  Sadguru  Seva  Sangh  Trust  Chitrakoot and  Surgeon’s  club,  Satna  under  the  aegis  of  SELSI  at Jankikund Hospital Chitrakoot under the patronship of Dr B  K  Jain  with  Dr  B.L.Patel  as  the  organizing  chairman, Dr.Nirmala  Gehani,  Chief  organizing  secretary,  Dr  Alok Khanna & Dr.Sudhir Singh as organizing secretaries and & Dr.K.L.Namdev as treasurer.  

             Free ENT Camp: 16th Feb, 2012  Jankikund chikitsalaya has organized a free ENT camp. Chief surgeon of  the  camp was Dr. Ramesh Patel, Chicago, USA and asst. surgeon was Dr. Ashutosh Nema, Satna.Total OPD of the was 290 out of which 03 surgeries held in the camp. 

Jankikund Chikitsalaya- Chitrakoot Free Fistula Camp: 24th Feb, 2012  Jankikund Chikitsalya has organized  free  fistula camp. The chief surgeon was Dr. R.N. Sahu, Medical College, Jabalpur. Total 17 procedures were held in the camp. 

Rural Health Camp: 03rd Mar, 2012  Jankikund  Chikitsalaya  has  organized  rural  health  camp  in Village Pathra Paldev, Block Majhgawan District Satna  (M.P.). The  team  of  JKC  facilitated  the  camp  with  General  Health Checkup  including  Eye,  Dental,  Vaccination,  Medicine  and Gynae. 

Shree Raghuveer Mandir Trust- Chitrakoot                                                   Ram Katha: 23rd – 31st March, 2012 In  continuation  to  the  traditional  ceremonies being held at  the  trust, Raghuveer Mandir Trust has organized Ram Katha on the occasion of Ram Navmi. The Ram Katha was delivered  by  Shri Atul  bharadwaj    ji Maharaj.  The  katha came  to an end on 9th day with  the celebration of Ram Navmi in the presence of Gurubhais and Sadguru Parivar

Republic day celebration The  63rd  Republic  day  was  celebrated  at  the  trust  on  26th  Jan  2012.The  main  function  was organized at Vidyadham Hr. Sec. School. Special guests of the program were HMS Vice‐Chairman Mr. Tie and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mohan along with Mr. Venkatraman, Director  (program and field operations). The Flag was hoisted by Dr. B.K.jain, Director and trustee. Various cultural programs were organized on the occasion by the students of Sadguru Shiksha Samiti.

        Inauguration of Sadguru – IGNOU Community College: 

Sadguru  ‐  IGNOU  Community  College  (Code  ‐  CSS2109) inaugurated  by  Chief  Guest  Dr.  V.S.  Niranjan,  IAS, Commissioner, Higher  Education, Govt.  of Madhya  Pradesh dated on 1st February, 2012 and President of the program Dr. K.S. Tiwari, Reg. Director,  IGNOU, Bhopal, on his  speech he told  about  importance  of  Community  College  especially  in rural  community  like  Chitrakoot. Media/press  people were present in the program. The function concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. B.K. Jain, Trustee & Director.

World Tuberculosis (TB) Day

Sadguru  School  of  Nursing  students  organized  awareness programme  with  the  help  of  posters  and  health  talk  in Jankikund Chikitsalaya in the occasion of World TB Day held on  24th March  2012.    The  theme was  “Stop  TB  in my  life time”   

Tour of Gwalior Mental Hospital

Second  year nursing  students of  Sadguru  School of Nursing went  to Gwalior  for psychiatric clinical experience dated on 17  ‐  31  March  2012.  The  main  purpose  of  visit  was  to accomplish their curriculum. Students develop the concept of mental health and mental illness.

Human Resource management Workshop

A workshop was  conducted  by  Sight  Saver  International  from 17th  to  18th  Jan  in Bhopal  on  human  resource management. Workshop was  attended  by Mr.  Ravi  Upadhyay  and  Dr.  Aditi Modi.  On  19th  Jan  Partner  meet  was  organized  which  was attended by Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra 

Ward inauguration A  new  100  bedded ward  to  accommodate  camp  patients was inaugurated  by  Dr.  Vishnu  Jobanputra  and  Smt.  Bhartiben Jobanputra  on  30th  Jan  2012.  A  puja was  performed  on  this occasion. 

70th AIOS Conference: 3rd – 5th February, 2012

Dr. Amol Chawhan and Mr. Ravi Upadhyay participated in AIOS conference  held  at  Kochi  from  2nd  –  4th  of  Feb.  Dr.  Amol Chawhan  presented poster on “IOL Implantation in infants”. 

FUSION 2012 AT LVPEI Dr. Amol  chawhan  participated  in  the  fusion  2012  “pediatric Opthalmology and strabismus”. The conference was organized in LVPEI from 12‐14th Feb in Hyderabad.  

Sadguru Sankalp Chikitsalaya- Anandpur

Surgical camp Sadguru Sankalp Chikitsalaya   organized surgical camp  for poor patient of community from 9th‐13th Feb 2012. Dr. V. Agrawal, a volunteer surgeon provided his services to 36 patients. 

General surgery camp Sadguru  Sankalp  Chikitsalaya  organized  surgical  camp  from             29‐31st, March 2012.  Surgeries were done by Dr.  Sanjay  shah from Rajkot. The purpose of camp  is  to serve poor and needy people of community who cannot afford the surgical cost. 

Trust Activities- Anandpur

REPUBLIC DAY The  63rd  Republic  day was  celebrated  at  the  trust  on  26th Jan,  2012.The  main  function  was  organized  at  Smt. Susheelaben  Arvindbhai Mafatlal  H.Sec.  School.  The  Indian Tricolor  was  hosted  by  Shri  Govardhanbhai  Upadhaya. Various culture programmed were organized on the occasion by the school children. 

Shri Ramdas Hanuman Mandir Trust - Anandpur Maha Shivratri Utsav:

Maha  Shiv‐Ratri  was  celebrated  at  the  trust  on  20th  Feb 2011.The  main  Puja  was  performed  by  Shri  Vishad  bhai Mafatlal, Chairman at Shri Ramdas Hanuman Mandir. Shri N. B. Lohani, Dr.B. K. Jain and Shri Raghunath M. Balakrishnan were present  at  the occasion  along with  the other  gurubhais‐bens and staff.     

    Ramkatha evam ramayan paath:  

On  the  occasion  of  Maha  Shiv‐ratri  Manas  Kathaevam Ramayan  Paath  was  carried  out  at  Shri  Ramdas  Hanuman Mandir  from 12th – 20th Feb, 2012. The Manas Katha Paath was conducted by Pujya Shri Maithali Sharan Ji Maharaj.
