STATE 4-H PORTFOLIO’S
The Deadline for State 4-H Portfolios to be in the State 4-H Office is JUNE 15, 2018. Win a Trip to Cincinnati, Ohio and be eligible for scholarships. We hope you are working on your Sandoval County 4-H Portfolio’s. They
are not due until the Fall following our County Fair. Date to be provided later. Sandoval County 4-H Members who do not complete a portfolio will not be eligible for awards at our Annual Awards Banquet. If you have questions, please call Steve or Nicole.
Don’t Forget—Shooting Sports Practice at Del Norte Gun Club Practice held the third Saturday of each month. Practice is open to all 4-H members enrolled in the Shooting Sports project.
Shooting Sports Practice Saturday, May 19—9:00 a.m. Saturday, June 16—9:00 a.m.
State 4-H policy prohibits Cloverbud youth from participating in this project.
If you are new to the Shooting Sports project, you are required to fill out and sign a Del Norte Gun Club waiver. Waiver’s can be printed from the Del Norte Gun Club website.

Scholarship Information
A Scholarship fund has been established by the 4-H County Council to provide financial assistance to 4-H members that wish to attend State, District, or County 4-H events. Scholarship will cover 50% of the registration expenses for Senior Leadership Retreat, Youth-Get-Away, Livestock School, Horse School, Home Ec School, 4-H Dog School, or $250 of the team fees for serving as a State 4-H Officer, Ambassador, or a Diplomat. The scholarship will cover 100% of the registration expenses for 4-H County Camp. The funding may not be used to attend State 4-H Conference, State 4-H Shooting Sports Contest, nor District Contest.
Scholarship Criteria—Available to any Novice, Junior or Senior 4-H Member.

Sandoval County 4-H Camp The Sandoval County 4-H Council will host a 2 day sleep-over, 3 day camp at the Sandoval County Fairgrounds on June 1-3, 2018.
The cost for camp is $40.00; includes meals or $25.00 for a day with meals. Cloverbuds are welcome to join us but MUST be accompanied by a parent or authorized guardian. All registrants MUST have a current medical release on file at the extension office. Please send the registration form along with your payment to the Extension Office.
