SANY Honored to Contribute to Mega-Projects in Thailand

The Governor of State Railway of Thailand, Mr. Prapat Chongsanguan, presided over the signing ceremony between Mr. Natee Panichewa and Mr. Kaned Suviwattanachai of Thailand’s Unique Engineering and Construction PCL and Mr. Xie Feng of China’s SANY Group. The SANY Group is contracted to supply all construction machinery in the US$ 1.1 Billion construction project of the Bang Sue Grand Station.

UNIQUE Asserts Timely Completion of the Project

Mr. Natee Panichewa stated that, thanks to UNIQUE’s credibility, the company was chosen as one of the leading contractors to construct the Bang Sue-Rangsit Section as stated in Contract 1: Civil Works for the Bang Sue Grand Station and depots, with an approximate budget of 30,000 million baht. The duration of the project is four years, terminating in 2017. Thanks to UNIQUE’s solid experience in carrying out several large-scale public projects, including the Red Line Project (Bang Sue-Taling Chan Section), Mass Rapid Transit (Blue Line), Bhumibol Bridges (industrial Ring Road), Chalong Rat Expressway (Ram lnthra-Outer Ring Road), and the new Phra Nang Klao Bridge, UNIQUE is confident that the project will be completed efficiently to provide convenient and safe service for the public.

Mr. Kaned Suviwattanachai said that after spending extensive time in China to carry out comprehensive consideration and research on various China-based machinery manufacturers, it was found that SANY Group Co., Ltd. was equipped with state-of-the-art technology, a reliable production system, and international standards on par with manufacturers in Japan and Germany, as well as excellent after sales services. In addition, UNIQUE has purchased products from SANY for previous construction works, such as Bang Sue-Taling Chan Section. UNIQUE is very confident that SANY’s machinery will help to effectively complete this mega-project.

The Bang Sue Grand Station: The Center of the Integrated Railway Network System of Thailand

Mr. Prapat Chongsanguan revealed that the purchase of machinery from SANY was aimed to increase construction capacities of the Mass Transit System Project in Bangkok (Red Line)(1} that integrates the railway transportation network of Bangkok and its perimeters. The project is under the command of the SRT.

Bang Sue Grand Station is the major interchange for all forms of rail based transportation including electric commuter train, long-distance train, and hi-speed train. In addition, further extension to Pathum Thani’s Rangsit District, which is an important suburban area north of Bangkok, is planned. The Bang Sue-Rangsit Section is expected to serve 300,000 passengers trip/day. Moreover, the new railway network will play a significant role in mitigating traffic congestion at eight intersections where at-grade railways meet condensed roads. Furthermore, automobile accidents related to railway crossings are expected to decline to zero, the use of private cars should be significantly lower (and hence fuel consumption), while the environment will be enhanced. With bold and innovative design, the network will serve the public efficiently in a safe and timely manner, and meet the demands of city living.

By combining the Bang Sue-Rangsit and Bang Sue-Taling Chan sections and the Airport Rail Link (Phya Thai -Suvarnabhumi Airport), the SRT will operate 70 km of railway.

Mr. Xie Feng indicated that SANY was honoured to collaborate with a major player in the construction industry of Thailand to construct several mega-projects, including the Bang Sue Grand Station that will help promote Thailand as an important hub for transportation and logistics in the ASEAN region. In addition, the deal demonstrates the strong relationship between the leaders of the construction industry of Thailand and China. Lastly, Mr. Xie Feng wanted to assure Thai people that SANY’s cutting-edge technology and highly innovative machinery are on par with products from Europe, and are offered at highly reasonable prices.

SRT Gears Up For Red Line Project (Bang Sue Rangsit Section)

Mr. Prapat Chongsanguan, Governor of the State Railway of Thailand {5RT), presided over the signing ceremony for the purchase agreement between Unique Engineering & Construction Public Co.,Ltd. (UNIQUE} and SANY Group Co. Ltd..(SANY) for construction machinery.

The contract was signed by Mr. Natee Panichewa, Chairman, and Mr. Kaned Suviwattanachai, Assistant CEO of UNIQUE, and Mr. Xie Feng, Vice President, SANY, China and CEO, SANY Asia-Pacific, and Mr. Ben Ng, the Chairman of Bulk Carriers Pte. Ltd., On 30 May 2013, at 18.30 hours. In Beverly Hills I-III, 2nd Floor, Conrad Bangkok Hotel, Bangkok.

In March 2012, Sany Central Southern Africa (Sany CSA) was established by Sany Group with its head office in Johannesburg .Currently Sany CSA has 90 employees, 43 of whom are service engineers, 25 are sales people, and 22 are support team.Sany CSA business scope covers 6 focus markets (South Africa, Angola, Zambia, DRC, Ghana, Zimbabwe), 2 key markets (Tanzania, Mozambique) and 22 non-key markets (Namibia, Gabon, Cameroon, Botswana, etc.)

Since its inception, Sany CSA has sold over 2900 units of machines and the total sales amount will be up to US$200 million in 2013.

Excavator: 800 units were sold, occupying the largest market share in Ghana. (Up to 58.4%)

Machinery: More than 70 units of harbor machines were sold in South Africa, occupying the largest market share in South Africa. (Up to 55%).

Hoisting machinery: Sany’s 100T and 220T truck cranes have been exported to South Africa for the first time. Moreover, Sany South Africa has sold 750T crawler crane to the South Africa’s largest hoisting company. At the moment, Sany 750 ton crawler crane is known to be the “largest crane in Africa”.

Road and mining machines: The total sales volume of motor grader exceeded 100 units in Zimbabwe. Our market share is No.1. in Zimbabwe. Until now Sany CSA has sold over 14 units of mining truck.

The first Bauma Africa took place from 18th Sept to 21st Sept 2013 in Johannesburg and saw attendees from not only from sub-Saha-ra Africa but also rest of world partaking in this event. Bauma Africa has impressively en-tered the African market: The first session of this International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Min-ing Machines and Construction Vehicles took up 60,000 square meters of exhibition space – 40,100 m2 net – which makes it the biggest industry event for the sector in Africa.Sany displayed 8 units of machinery in a 1000

m2 exhibition area, most of which were de-buted around African Continent, including 95-ton and 55-ton Rigid Dump Truck (SRT95 and SRT55C), 70-ton and 46-ton excavator (SY700 and SY465), 220-ton All-terrain crane (SAC2200F) and 55-ton rough-terrain crane (SRC550H), mechanical driven Motor Grader, (SMG200) and 16-ton forklift (SCP16002).Some of the displayed machines had already been ordered by clients before the exhibition and intentional orders reached to 3 hundred million RMB in total during the exhibition.

Sany América Latina Inc., which served as one of the group’s mostly fast-growing overseas divisions, is designated to the headquarter in Panama City in October, 2013, now dominated various markets in Colombia, Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Venezuela, Panamá, Costa Rica, Bolivia, Cuba, Uruguay, Argentina, etc..

In 2013, Sany América Latina Inc. has sold more than 200 units of machines in this region, including motor graders, rollers, excavators, mining trucks, port equipment, mobile cranes and crawler cranes with the total sales revenue over 30 million US dollars.The most advanced truck crane with 5 axles STC1000C and the first Sany all terrain crane SAC2200 (220 ton) were introduced into Latin America. Also, the only 750 ton crawler crane with a special design of extended crawler for wind turbine project SCC7500 was introduced successfully to the No.1 transportation and lifting company in Colombia. It has broken China’s record in export of specific large-tonnage crawler cranes.In the meantime, Sany Latin America also developed its distributor network across the region, including Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, Panama, Uruguay, Costa Rica. With the same vision as Sany in Service and Parts support, the distributors have already built up the ability to offer the best service solutions in the region.With the spare parts distribution center in Panama managed by Sany Latin America itself in 2014, we are able to offer most of the parts of Sany machinery in the shortest time and reach every corner in Latin America.

Established in 2007, SANY INDUSTRY BRAZIL was operating as an importer company in the beginning. In 2010, SANY Group announced to establish a factory and a parts warehouse in Brazil. One year later, the first factory of SANY, located in Sao Jose dos Campos/ Sao Paulo, was completed with localized assembly of excavators and truck cranes in CKD ( Completely Knock Down), with an area of 30,000 m2.

Introduction:

SANY INDUSTRY BRAZIL also restructured the after sales department and launched a service channel between customers and the factory through the hot line: 0800 660 3131. Besides in 2012, SANY had invested in parts inventory, increasing the floor area of 800 m2 to 2200 m2 with more than 20 thousand items. In addition, Sany industry Brazil received certification of ISO 9001: 2008, ensuring rigorous quality and safety of the company.

Sany products are widely used in various huge projects in Brazil. And since 2011, the crane products owned the No. 1 market share in the two consecutive years. Currently the company is operating with 268 employees, over 85% of Brazilians who work in line with the growth of the company.

Outside the factory, SANY INDUSTRY BRAIL has dealers to provide products and after-sales service over the country, Sany opened the first branch in Recife/PE, and Branches in Vitoris/ES and Curitiba/PR. They cover the regions from northern to southern, working together with local customers.SANY INDUSTRY BRAZIL is always making stable progress to keep up with the needs of Brazilian market.

Construction Cases:

1. Project Name: The Extension of Highway - Tamoios Project

Equipment: Excavator (20-36 tons) and Roller Compactors ( SPR260, SSRD120, SSRP120 and STR120)

Construction Location: Tamoios/SP

Construction Introduction: Tamoios (SP-099) Extension Project is one of the largest road construction and also is considered one more important infrastructural project in Brazil. Totally, more than 20 machines, including roller compactor and excavators, acquired for various famous companies, are doing excellent job to guarantee the end of the project with efficiency and safety. The construction started in May of 2012 and it’s expected to be finished by the end of 2013.

2. Project Name: Modules’ building for Petrobras

Construction Location: Sao Sebastiao/Sao Paulo

Construction Introduction: The construction company Schahin is starting to building modules that will be used in the Pre-salt Project of Petrobras. The truck cranes STC250H and SRC550H were purchased by TRANSCOPA Company and will operate in the assembly of modules, located in Sao Sebastiao.

1. SANY concrete pumping equipment participated in the GREAT MOSQUE OF ALGERIA(the third biggest mosque in the word) project

2. 6 units of SANY SRC350 rough cranes participated in the construction of Sudan children drinking water project

3. SANY excavators participated in Kenya international airport’s new terminal project

4. Nigeria Chinese customer purchased 21 units SANY excavators at one time, which was the biggest order ever in both sales amount and unit quantity in Nigeria.

The direction for SANY’s European Headquarter in Bedburg was determined after a detailed review of market opportunities in Europe and the SANY product offering, resulting in the development and manufacturing of mobile port machinery “Made in Germany” as well as the distribution of SANY products in Europe and beyond.

The implementation of the whole new business started with focus on modifying SANY reach stackers to CE compliant products, meeting European customers’ high requirements. These products were initially presented to the public at BAUMA exhibition in Munich in April 2013. Sales started shortly after and several units were already delivered to leading global and Euro-pean customers in the port and intermodal industry.

SANY empty container handlers and SANY heavy duty forklifts are going to be introduced ac-cording to the same concept in 2014. The built in Germany products are available for custom-ers and dealers worldwide through the SANY regional organizations and the first unit outside Europe is now being shipped to Australia.

In addition to mobile port machinery SANY Germany also offers Crawler Cranes and Excava-tors in Europe. Both products have been modified to meet European legal and customer re-quirements and are being distributed through an extending network of premium dealers.

In terms of After Sales, SANY Germany acts as a Centre of Excellence for the support to deal-ers and customers but also to other SANY regional organizations. A large parts inventory has been established in Bedburg and lead times to customers worldwide are extremely short due to various reasons: A central position in Europe that offers a first class infrastructure, favour-able import and trade regulations for deliveries out of Europe as well as the use of efficient communication and administration systems. Our service team provides regular and in-depth trainings to our dealers either in our own training facilities or at the customer site. We support our machines with extensive documentation, which is available in any language our customers require.

Another key factor to success is SANY Germany’s team of industry experts with in-depth knowledge in terms of products, customers and applications. The international team covers multiple languages and brings to the company many years of experience from market leading companies in the port, lifting and construction machinery sectors.
