2014 MASS BOOK The new mass book is now open. Stop by the parish office at any time Monday thru Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The suggested offering for announced masses remains the same: $15. The suggested dona-tion for a mass card is also the same - $5.

MAT FLOW GROUP The Mat Flow Group now takes places every Monday beginning at 8 p.m. in Heafey Hall (room under the chapel church). Everyone is invited to attend – if you don’t have a mat we will provide one for you. We pray; we do yoga exer-cises and we have lots of fun. Open to all men and women of the parish 18 and over.

MASS IN BENGALI Over 100 people attended the first mass in Bengali. We are off to a great start. The next mass in Bengali will take place on SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8 (TODAY) AT 5:30 P.M. IN THE CHAPEL. Confessions will be heard from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the chapel. Fr Nirmal Costa our new parochial vicar will celebrate the mass. refreshments in Heafey Hall after mass. The Bangladeshi and Indian community invite all those who speak Bengali to attend! MINISTRY TO THE SICK Fathers Rick, Gildea, Lucas and Nirmal would like to visit the sick and offer the sacraments to all those in our parish who are in need of it. ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14TH we will offer the Sacrament of the Sick at the 9 a.m. mass to those who are able to attend. For those who are homebound, one of the priests will visit your home on December 16, 17 or 18 to hear your confession, bring you the Eucharist and anoint you with the Oil of the Sick. Those who will attend the mass on Dec 14 or who would like a priest to visit their home should contact the rectory with your information. All Ministers who bring communion to the sick should also contact the rectory office to set up a time for the priest to go with you on your visits. HELPING THOSE IN NEED: We are sending $8,200 to assist those most in need in the Philip-pines. This money came from our second collection ($6,200), our parish school children ($1,100), Line Dancing and a portion of our Thanksgiving collection ($900). Special thanks to everyone who contributed!

FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION:

This year the feast will be ce lebra ted on MONDAY, DECEMBER 9TH. Since the day falls on the Second Sunday of Advent it is transferred to Monday and it is not a holy day of obligation. We will offer mass at 9 a.m. in English and 7:30 p.m. in Spanish. While not obligatory to attend it’s a wonderful opportunity to come to mass and celebrate this important feast.

CHRISTMAS Registered parishioners in need of extra assistance this Christmas should fill out this simple form and drop it in next Sunday’s collection basket OR call the parish office (718.424.5400) Just like at Thanksgiving, we are able to assist any of our parishioners in obtain-ing and purchasing sufficient food items for the Christmas holiday. GRUPO MAT FLOW El Grupo Mat Flow ahora tiene lugar cada lunes comenzando a las 8 p.m. en Heafey Hall (sótano de la Capilla). Todos están invitados a participar – si no tienes un tapetito le podemos proveer uno. Nosotros ora-mos, hacemos ejercicios de Yoga y gozamos muchos. Hombres y mujeres de la parroquia mayores de 18 años de edad pueden participar.

LIBRO DE MISAS PARA 2014 El libro Nuevo está abierto. Acér-quese a la oficina a cualquier hora de lunes a viernes de 9 a.m. hasta las 9 p.m.; los sábados de 1p.m. hasta las 6 p.m. y el domingo de 9 a.m. hasta la 1 p.m. La sugerida donación para misas anunciadas todavía es $15. La sugerida donación para una tarjeta también es igual - $5.

MISA EN BENGALI más de 100 personas asistieron en la primera en bengalí este mes. Es un buen comienzo. La próxima misa en bengalí tendrá lugar el domingo, 8 de diciembre a las 5:30 p.m. en la Capilla. Habrá confesiones desde las 4:30 p.m. hasta las 5:30 p.m. en la Ca-pilla. El Padre Nirmal Costa nuestro vicario parroquial nuevo celebrara la misa. Después de la misa habrá refrescos en Heafey Hall. Las comunidades Indias y Bangladesí invitan a todos los hablan la idioma bengalí a asistir esta misa. El Padre Nirmal ofrece la misa de los martes en ingles en la Capilla todos los martes y está disponible en la oficina parro-quial para el que quiera hablar con él durante el día.

MINISTERIO PARA LOS ENFERMOS

Padres Rick, Gildea, Lucas y Nirmal les gustaría visitar a los que estén enfermos y ofrecerles los sacramentos a todos de la p a r r o q u i a q u i e n e s e s t á n necesitados. El sábado, diciembre 14 les vamos a ofrecer el Sacramento para los Enfermos en la misa de las 9 a.m. a los que puedan asistir. Para aquellos quienes están enfermos sin poder salir de sus casas, uno de los sacerdotes visitara a su casa diciembre 16, 17 o 18 para escuchar su confesión, traerle la Sagrada Comunión y ungirlo con los Santos Oleos para los Enfermos. Los que puedan asistir a las misa del 14 o el que le gustaría que fuera uno de los sacerdotes a su residencia debe llamar a la rectoría con su información. Todos los ministros que están llevándole la Sagrada Comunión a algún enfermo también deben comunicarse con la rectoría para programar una cita para que uno de los sacerdotes les acompañe en su próxima visita.

FIESTA DE LA INMACULADA

Este año la Fiesta será celebrada el LUNES, 9 DE DICIEMBRE. Como el día es el Segundo Domin-go del Adviento esta traslado al lunes, y no es un día de precepto. Vamos a ofrecer misa a las 9:00 a.m. en ingles y a las 7:30 p.m. en español. En cuanto no es obligato-rio a asistir es una maravillosa oportunidad de venir a misa y cele-brar esta Fiesta importante.

AYUDANDO A LOS NECESITADOS Vamos a enviar $8,200 para asis-tir a los más necesitados en las Filipinas. Este dinero viene de nuestra segunda colecta ($6,200), nuestros estudiantes en la escuela parroquial ($1,100) el Grupo de Baile en Línea y una porción de nuestra colecta del Día de Acción de Gracias ($900). Unas gracias muy especiales a todos los que contribuyeron.
