คํานํา

ภาษาอังกฤษนับเปนเคร่ืองมือที่สําคัญในการติดตอสื่อสารในโลกไรพรมแดน ไมวาจะเพ่ือการส่ือสารหรือ

การเขาถึงองคความรู วิทยาการ และเทคโนโลยี การแขงขันในเวทีโลกทําใหภาษาอังกฤษยิ่งมีความสําคัญมากข้ึน

ในฐานะเปนภาษากลางในการตดิตอกันระหวางประเทศตาง ๆ ซ่ึงแมแตประชาคมอาเซียน (ASEAN Community)

ยังกําหนดใหภาษาอังกฤษเปนภาษาทํางาน (working language) อีกดวย

การเตรียมความพรอมและเพ่ิมศักยภาพจึงเปนเร่ืองที่สําคัญอยางยิ่งในอนาคตของผูเรียน ทั้งนี้ หลักสูตร

แกนกลางการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน พุทธศักราช 2551 จึงกําหนดใหภาษาอังกฤษเปนภาษาตางประเทศที่ผูเรียนทุกคนตอง

เรียนรูอยางตอเนื่อง และยังกาํหนดเปาหมายใหผูเรยีนสามารถใชภาษาอังกฤษไดในชวีติจรงิ เพือ่การติดตอสือ่สารและ

การทํางานในอนาคต

บริษัท อักษรเจริญทัศน อจท. จํากัด จึงรวมมือกับบริษัท Express Publishing ผลิตสื่อฯ ชุด EXTRA and

Friends ข้ึน เพ่ือพัฒนาผูเรียนในระดับช้ันประถมศึกษา โดยมีเนื้อหาครอบคลุมตัวช้ีวัดและมาตรฐานการเรียนรู

อยางครบถวน นอกจากนั้น สื่อฯ ชุดนี้ยังประกอบไปดวยจุดเนนสําคัญ ดังนี้

1. รูปแบบภาษาที่ใชในสถานการณจริง (realistic language patterns) เพื่อเตรียมพรอมผูเรียนสําหรับการ

สื่อสารในชีวิตประจําวัน

2. กิจกรรมที่หลากหลายและสนุกสนาน เนนการลงมือปฏิบัติ ทั้งงานประดิษฐ เพลง เกม และอื่น ๆ เพื่อทําให

บทเรียนสนุกสนานและผูเรียนจดจําสิ่งที่เรียนได เกิดความเขาใจที่คงทน

3. กิจกรรม CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) ทีใ่ชแนวคดิในการสอนเนือ้หาของ

สาระการเรียนรูอื่นผานภาษาอังกฤษ เพื่อเสริมความรู และฝกใชภาษาในสถานการณที่หลากหลาย

4. การเรียนรูวัฒนธรรมของเจาของภาษาในกิจกรรม Culture Channel เนื่องจากการเรียนรูวัฒนธรรมของ

เจาของภาษา จะทําใหผูเรียนเขาใจภาษามากขึ้น

5. การเรียนรูวัฒนธรรมของประเทศในกลุ มประชาคมอาเซียน ในกิจกรรม Welcome to ASEAN

Countries ซ่ึงนําเสนอวิถีชีวิตและวัฒนธรรมของประเทศตาง ๆ ในอาเซียน เพ่ือใหผู เรียนสามารถ

เปรียบเทียบความเหมือนและความแตกตางของแตละประเทศ

คณะผูจัดทํามั่นใจวา สื่อฯ ชุด EXTRA and Friends นี้จะมีสวนพัฒนาใหผูเรียนของไทยมีความสามารถใน

การส่ือสารดวยภาษาอังกฤษตามที่ตัวช้ีวัดและมาตรฐานการเรียนรูของหลักสูตรแกนกลางการศึกษาข้ันพื้นฐาน

พุทธศักราช 2551 กําหนด รวมทั้งผูเรียนสามารถประยุกตใชภาษาอังกฤษในชีวิตจริงไดอยางมีประสิทธิภาพ และมี

โอกาสใชเปนเครื่องมือในการศึกษาตอในระดับที่สูงขึ้นตอไป
