Director’s MessageDear Parents and Students,

Yangon International School will welcome all students back to our physical campus for full school days on August 12, 2020. We understand some families may feel safer with at-home, online learning instead of being on campus. We will have a similar program of learning for those students prepared to start at the same time as our physical campus reopens.

You will notice some changes when you return. We have newly enhanced health measures and some temporary procedures in place until all of our international teachers are able to re-join us in Yangon.

This document will outline for you the YIS plan to protect the health of our community while providing the high-quality YIS learning experience all parents expect, whether their students are learning on campus or at home.

We safeguard the health of our community by only opening campus when we have

● Permission from the government to open● Health measures in accordance with necessary

guidelines● A system to monitor and respond to the health of

our YIS students, families, teachers and staff

Additionally, we will● Follow all necessary practices and policies

that reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission● Respond quickly if a member of our

community appears ill● Communicate and monitor research-based

health-related policies
