I created my front cover in Adobe Photoshop CS3 I found this easy because I’ve used this software before; these are screen grabs of the process when making my front cover. We had six lessons to make this.

For the background I added an effect to make the main image stand out more and so the background wasn’t plain

My main image is of an indie looking boy holding a guitar looking straight at the camera. I didn’t use any effects on him.

After trying different colours I used white as my text with shadow effects to make them stand out.

I added red and black because the magazine was looking to plane and to fit with the colours of the magazine.
