High separation efficiency with minimal pressure drop

Minimum weight due to compact design

Easy to install design

Service and environment friendly

Optionally with Heater and/or Water in Fuel Sensor

Draining the water

Element replacement

Loosen the bleed screw on the lid by two rotations.

Pull the handle of the drain valve towards you and open it by a quarter of turn to the left.

Release sufficient fluid so that the bowl is filled with diesel fuel only.

Close the drain valve by turning the handle to the right until it snaps in place.

Tighten the bleed valve on the lid so that it is air tight (a torque of 8Nm). Prime the fuel system.

Loosen the cen-tral tightening screw on the cover.

Turn it until it reaches the stop position.

Release the lid with a gentle pressure and rotate it left so that it is free of the bayonet.

Remove the lid and the cover from the filter housing.

Remove the spring cassette.

Pull the filter el-ement out of the housing using the handle.

Dispose of the used filter ele-ment responsi-bly (according to local regula-tions).

Insert the new filter element.

Replace the spring cassette

Put the lid and cover back in position.

Reset the cover with a gentle downwards pressure and a turn to the right.

Check the cor-rect location of the lid on the fil-ter head.

Tighten the screw to a torque of 10 Nm.

Prime the fuel system.

High separation efficiency with minimal pressure drop

Fuel inletWhile passing the internal vanes, a rotationalmotion is induced in the fuelThe fuel exits the internal vane system and entersthe filter bowl Due to the rotational energy water and particu-lates become separated from the fuel and willsettle down at the bottom of the filter bowlThe fuel is then guided to the filter pre-chamberDue to the large cross section of the pre-chamber,the fuel flow velocity is reducedSuspended particulates and the finest waterdroplets are held back (caught) in the pleatedmedia of the filter elementThe cleaned fuel passes to the outlet chamberFuel outlet

Less weight due to compact design

Our patented filter technology creates a safe and ef-ficient separation of water and other contaminatesfrom the fuel. The large diameter of all internal cross sections andchannels minimizes the pressure drop.Finest impurities and water droplets are efficientlytrapped by the large surface area of pleated filter el-ement.

Less weight due to compact design

Due to the use of most modern materials, we havereduced the volume and weight of the filter drasti-cally, without loss of any efficiency or reliability.

Easy installation

Due to the design of the inlet and outlet ports, the fil-ter can be easily integrated in any fuel system. Inletsand outlets can be connected on the left and/or rightside of the filter according to your requirement.

Simple and quick maintenance

The filter operation is protected by an easy to re-move cover. This will prevent dirt that could contam-inate the fuel circuit when the filter lid is opened.

The filter has been designed to allow element re-placement / service without the use of tools.

Environmentally friendly

The filter is constructed from completely recyclablematerials. Moreover the element can be reused mul-tiple times during the life of the filter, meaning wastedisposal costs and hence the environmental burdenwill be minimised.

Optionally with fuel heater and/or water in fuel-sen-sor

The fuel heating system is self activating at low tem-peratures and effectively prevents waxing of the fu-el; an increased fuel temperature (below theoperational threshold) will result in the heater re-ducing its output. Due to this self-controlled regula-tion, the fuel is heated with high efficiency, minimising wasted energy. A filter fitted with the op-tional WiF-Sensor (Water in Fuel sensor) does notneed to be regularly checked for water. If water ispresent in the fuel, the WiF sensor will activate analarm to signal is should be removed by opening thedrain valve.

Installation position

The filter has to be installed in the suction line (in be-tween the tank and the fuel lift-pump), however itdoes not matter whether the filter inlet is positionedhigher, equal or lower to the maximum fuel level inthe tank for the filter to function correctly.Due to safety requirements we always recommendthe installation of a shut-off ball valve with full flowdiameter between the fuel tank and the filter.

The fuel heating system - SEPAR EVO-10/H

Protective cover

The protective cover can be removed and replacedwith minimal exertion.

Installation

The filter should be at-tached to the mountingsurface with suitablescrews through themounting brackets .The inlet and outlet

allow the fuel lines tobe connected on the leftand/or right side ac-cording to your require-ments. The torque forthe connection of fit-tings to the filter is 20 Nm.
