لبنان والتضييق على الحريات؟
الى عقد لبنان في الم�سلمين علماء هيئة ا�سطرت
موؤتمرها ال�سحفي الخير في مقر الهيئة بعد اإلغاء
الموؤتمر حجوزات جميع الفنادق ورف�سها ل�ستقبال
ال�سحفي كما ان القنوات الف�سائية لم تنقل الموؤتمر
مبا�سرة مما دعا بالعديد من المواطنين اللبنانيين
الى الت�ساوؤل عن ال�سباب التي دعت ادارات الفنادق
ومن الم�سلمين علماء هيئة ا�ستقبال رف�س ال��ى
حتى الفنادق ه��ذه على �سغطت التي الجهة ه��ي
يتخذوا قراراتهم باإلغاء الحجوزات؟ وما هو هام�س
الحريات في بلد يفتر�س انه بلد حرية الراأي؟ وهل
هي جهة �سيا�سية مدعومة بجهة امنية هي من مار�س
الف�سائيات عن هو الهم وال�سوؤال ال�سغوط؟ هذه
تجاهلت لماذا وكبيرة �سغيرة كل عن تبحث التي
م�سبقا بم�سمونه تعرف كانت هل الموؤتمر؟ ه��ذا

اإليك عن دول راأت المحرقة ثم �سكتت كالقبر
اإليك اأعتذر ولم تنطق، لكنى يا �سيدة الزمن
نيابة عن الن�سان الذي غابت حقوقه، واأهينت
اإن�سانيته، و�سحقت اآدميته، فاأنت من تكافحين
من اأجل وجوده، وبقائه حرا، وا�سترداد اآدميته
التى غابت، واإن�سانيته التى تم اغتيالها با�سم
الديموقراطية وحقوق الن�سان.

واأي ؟ غ��زة في الب�سر خلق �سئ اأي من •�سنف من الب�سرهوؤلء؟

ال�سين ب��اأن يظن م��ن يخطئ
الأولى الدولة �ست�سبح يوما ما
عن الغرب اأو اأمريكا �ستزيح واأنها ، المجالت �ستى في عالميا والعظمى
مقدمة الترتيب العالمي الذي ت�سدرته منذ عقود !!
الغريب في الأمر اأن ال�سين وبعد تتبع �سيا�ساتها الخرقاء على كافة الأ�سعدة
�سيجد المتابع لهذا ال�ساأن عن كثب باأن الدولة نف�سها ل ترغب في اأن ت�سبح
القت�ساد الأكبر في العالم ، خوفا من اأن تقع تحت دائرة ال�سوء ، وتتحمل
وما ، القت�سادي الم�ستوى على وعظمى غنية كدولة م�سوؤولياتها بالتالي
على بها للقيام �ست�سطر وت��ن��ازلت ودع��م تبرعات من ذل��ك على يترتب
ال�سين اقتربت فكلما ، الغنية الدول تفعل كما والتجارية البيئية ال�سعد
من تحقيق هذا الأمر تراها تكبح جماح نف�سها عن ذلك ، ثم تخرج وزارة
اقت�سادها على و�سائل الإعالم لتكذب الإح�ساءات الدولية عنها ، ولت�سفها
باأنها مزورة ، وباأن ال�سين واقت�سادها ل زالت بعيدة عن ت�سدر العالم في
الوقت الراهن ... اأمر يدعو لال�ستغراب حقا !!!
هند�سيا و�سناعيا وبالذات على الجانب المتعلق بالجودة والكفاءة نجد باأن
ال�سناعات ال�سينية ل زالت تحبو مقارنة بمثيالتها الغربية اأو الأمريكية ،
اأنها تعاني من فقدان ثقة الم�ستهلكين حتى الفقراء منهم ، فال�سين ل اإذ
باأن اأرى بت ، حتى والجودة الكفاءة مقايي�س من نوع باأي تلزم م�سنعيها
ل�سراء اأحدهم ي�ستدين العربية قد ال�سعوب المعدمين وب�سيطي الحال من
جهاز كهربائي ياباني اأو األماني اأو اأمريكي ذي جودة وكفاءة بدل من �سرف
نقوده على ب�ساعة �سينية ل تدوم �سوى ب�سعة اأ�سهر ...
معلومة اأخيرة قد تكون مفاجئة للبع�س اأختم بها مقالتي هذه فاأقول اأنه واإلى
جانب ما �سبق تبقى ال�سين فعال دولة فقيرة على م�ستوى الدخل الفردي ،
اإذ تحتل المركز ال� 90 خلف دول �سغيرة مثل البيرو !!! اأما جانب الحريات
والديمقراطيات وحقوق الإن�سان في تلك الدولة فذلك �سيء ن�سخ منذ زمن
فال يطمع فيه ... دمتم

وذلك منذ دعوة اأبي الأنبياء اإبراهيم
الخليل عليه ال�سالة وال�سالم.. فمنذ
اأن اأذن في النا�س بالحج الأكبر فلبوا
وعلى اأرج��ل��ه��م على وج����اءوا ال��ن��داء
منذ عميق.. ف��ج ك��ل م��ن �سامر ك��ل
التي المباركة الزمنية اللحظة تلك
والتلبية ال��دع��وة تلك فيها ���س��درت
المهيبة ال�سريفة، وقلوب اأهل الإيمان
الحرام متعلقة اإلى بيت اهلل منجذبة
به م�سرئبة اإليه.
موؤكدة مح�سو�سة ذلك على الأدل��ة و
متواترة و م�سهودة، اإذ كلما زاره المرء
معاودة اإل��ى وتلهفا اإليه �سوقا ازداد
ياأذن اأن اإل��ى م��رات و م��رات الزيارة
اهلل بنهاية العمر.
و دللت م��ع��ان��ي ف��ي ي��دخ��ل و ه���ذا
توقير الحج، في اهلل �سعائر تعظيم
بيت اهلل الحرام واأداء حقوقه باإلتزام
حقه، ف��ي ال����واردة وال�سنن الآداب
لوجود المكرمة مكة اأه��ل واح��ت��رام
ولخدمتهم ظهرانيهم، بين البيت
ورعايتهم الموروثة اأبا عن جد للحرم
الحرام اهلل بيت لحجاج و ال�سريف
وم��ع��ت��م��ري��ه وق��ا���س��دي��ه وم��ج��اوري��ه،
�سورة ن��ق��ل اأي�سا ذل��ك ف��ي وي��ن��درج
المكي المجتمع عن متالألئة م�سرقة
عنه، اإيجابية بانطباعات والحتفاظ
والمعاملة ال�سلوك ح�سن اإلى اإ�سافة
مع كل �سيوف الرحمن وذلك باإلتزام
حقوق ومراعاة الحنيف ال�سرع اآداب
خوة الإ�سالمية.الأ

الطيب، يحب طيب تعالى اهلل »اإن
يحب ك��ري��م النظافة، ي��ح��ب نظيف
فنظفوا ال��ج��ود، يحب ج��واد ال��ك��رم،
اأفنيتكم ول ت�سبهوا باليهود«.

و تقام با�سم اهلل فيه فرائ�س

يتقبل اأن القدير العلي اهلل فن�ساأل

و قرباتهم و طاعاتهم المعظم بيته

ومقا�سده قيمه و واآداب��ه باأخالقياته
ح�سنة ���س��ورة يكونوا ك��ي ال�سريفة،
نبيهم ���س��م��ائ��ل و واأخ�����الق ل��دي��ن��ه��م
الم�سطفى �سلى اهلل عليه و�سلم.
و اهلل الموفق اإلى كل خير.
تعظيم شعائر اهلل في الحج

تعالى اهلل ن��ع��م م��ن اإن
الخير موا�سم اأن علينا
يتبع بع�سها بع�سا ، فبعد
اأن انق�سى مو�سم رم�سان جاء مو�سم
الحج، ومو�سم الع�سر من ذي الحجة .
فينبغي اأن نتعرف على نعم اهلل علينا
للموؤمنين ه��ي ال��ت��ي الموا�سم ب��ه��ذه
م��غ��ن��م لك��ت�����س��اب ال���خ���ي���رات ورف����ع
لتح�سيل فر�سة لهم وهي الدرجات،
تتكرر ئات ال�سي والحط من الح�سنات
علينا كل عام ؛ ليتكرر بها علينا ف�سل
�سالح ع��ل��ى ال��ن�����س��اط ون��ج��دد اهلل،
الأعمال .
ف�سائل �لع�سر من ذي �لحجة:
من ف�سائل الع�سر من ذي الحجة:
اأن اهلل تعالى اأق�سم بها بقوله: { -1
الطبري: الإم��ام قال ع�سر}، ول��ي��ال
القول في ذلك عندنا »وال�سواب من
الحجة لإج��م��اع الأ�سحى ع�سر اأنها
ابن وق��ال ،3 عليه« التاأويل اأه��ل من
الع�سر: »والليالي اهلل: رحمه كثير
المراد بها ع�سر ذي الحجة كما قاله
ابن عبا�س وابن الزبير ومجاهد وغير
وق��ال وال��خ��ل��ف«، ال�سلف م��ن واح���د
ذي ع�سر »هي اهلل: رحمه ال�سوكاني
الحجة في قول جمهور المف�سرين«.
وعظيم ف�سلها ع��ل��ى دل��ي��ل وه����ذا
اأمرها.
مرنا اأ 2- وهي الأيام المعلومات التي
} تعالى: قال تعالى، اهلل بذكر فيها
رجال ياأتوك بالحج ا�س الن في ن ذواأ
فج ك��ل م��ن ت��ي��ن ي��اأ امر ك��ل �س وع��ل��ى
ويذكروا لهم منافع لي�سهدوا عميق *
ما على علومات م ��ام ياأ في
اهلل ا�سم
منها فكلوا نعام الأ بهيمة ن م رزقهم
طعموا البائ�س الفقير}. واأ
قال ابن عبا�س عن الأيام المعلومات:
«اأيام الع�سر”.
قوله ف��ي ال��م��ذك��ورة الع�سر وه��ي -3
ليلة ثالثين مو�سى وواعدنا تعالى:{
��ه رب ميقات ف��ت��م بع�سر ت��م��م��ن��اه��ا واأ
ذي �سهر والثالثون ليلة}، رب��ع��ي��ن اأ
القعدة.
ث��واب فيها يت�ساعف اأي���ام وه��ي -4
ع��ن ال��ب��خ��اري عند ثبت لما العمل،

يرجع فلم وماله بنف�سه يخاطر خرج
���ام ي��يء(. ول��ل��ت��رم��ذي:)م��ا م��ن اأ ب�����س

حب اإلى اهللالح فيهن اأ العمل ال�س
ام الع�سر((. فقالوا: يا ر�سول يهذه الأ
؟ فقال
ول الجهاد في �سبيل اهلل
اهلل
�سلى اهلل عليه و�سلم:)ول
ر�سول اهلل
خرج رج��ل اإل
اهلل �سبيل في الجهاد
ذل��ك م��ن ي��رج��ع ف��ل��م وم��ال��ه بنف�سه
ب�سيء(.
ق��ال اب��ن رجب:” وه��ذا ي��دل على اأن
الفا�سل الوقت في المف�سول العمل
غ��ي��ره، ف��ي ال��ف��ا���س��ل بالعمل يلتحق
ويزيد عليه لم�ساعفة ثوابه واأجره”.
ومن اأراد اأن ي�ست�سعر ف�سل هذه الأيام
ويت�سور ذلك فليتدبر هذا الحديث:
عن اأب��ي ه��ري��رة ق��ال: ج��اء رج��ل اإل��ى
و�سلم عليه اهلل �سلى
اهلل ���ول ر����س
؟ الجهاد يعدل عمل على فقال:دلني
ت�ستطيع ق��ال:)ه��ل ج���ده(. اأ ق��ال:)ل
ن تدخل م�سجدك اإذا خرج المجاهد اأ
تفطر(؟ ول وم وت�س تفتر، ول فتقوم
. ومع ما ذل��ك ؟ ي�ستطيع وم��ن ق��ال:
النبي يبين المكانة هذه من للجهاد
اأن الطاعة في �سلى اهلل عليه و�سلم
الع�سر -التي هي دون الجهاد في غير
الع�سر – اأف�سل منه، اأما الجهاد فيها
فال �سيء يعدله.
5- وهي اأف�سل اأيام الدنيا لقول النبي
اأي��ام :)اأف�سل و�سلم عليه اهلل �سلى
الدنيا الع�سر(.
6- وفيها يوم عرفة.
7- وفيها اأعظم يوم عند اهلل، وهو يوم
و�سمي الأكبر، الحج يوم وهو العيد،
فيه تقع الحج اأعمال معظم لأن بذا
الحرام، الم�سعر عند الوقوف من ؛
ورم����ي ج��م��رة ال��ع��ق��ب��ة، وال���ط���واف،
ونحر التق�سير، اأو والحلق وال�سعي،
الهدي للمتمتع والقارن.
عظم قال �سلى اهلل عليه و�سلم :)اإن اأ
ي��وم وتعالى ت��ب��ارك
اهلل عند ���ام يالأ
.) حر ثم يوم القر الن
اهلل:«فالزمان رحمه القيم اب��ن ق��ال
اأه��ل الأع��م��ال ه��ذه لمثل المت�سمن
وقال به”، وج��ل عز ال��رب يق�سم اأن
اأن يظهر حجر:”والذي ابن الحافظ
الحجة ذي ع�سر امتياز في ال�سبب
فيه، العبادة اأم��ه��ات اجتماع لمكان
وال�سدقة، وال�سيام، ال�سالة، وهي:
والحج، ول ياأتي ذلك في غيره” .
�إ�سكاالن وجو�بهما:
االأول:
عظم قال �سلى اهلل عليه و�سلم :) اإن اأ
ي��وم وتعالى ت��ب��ارك
اهلل عند ���ام يالأ
يتعار�س مع األ ،) القر يوم ثم حر الن
فيه طلعت يوم الآخر:)خير الحديث
ال�سم�س يوم الجمعة(.
اأف�سل الجمعة يوم ف��اإن ل؛ الجواب:
اأيام الأ�سبوع، ويوم النحر اأف�سل اأيام
العام.
الثاني:
رم�سان م��ن الع�سر ل��ي��ال��ي األ��ي�����س��ت
اأف�سل؛ لأن فيها ليلة القدر؟
ذي ع�سر ع��ن الإ����س���الم �سيخ �سئل
رم�سان من الأواخ��ر والع�سر الحجة
ع�سر »اأي��ام فاأجاب: ؟ اأف�سل اأيهما
ذي الحجة اأف�سل من اأيام الع�سر من
من الأواخر الع�سر والليالي رم�سان،
ذي ع�سر ليالي م��ن اأف�سل رم�سان
الحجة«.

اإن للحج مقا�سد �ستى واأهدافا عظيمة منها:
1. الرتباط بالأنبياء عليهم ال�سالة وال�سالم من لدن اأبينا اإبراهيم وبناءه للبيت اإلى نبينا
محمد ر�سول اهلل �سلى اهلل عليه و�سلم وتعظيمه لحرمة مكة، فيتذكر الحاج حين تردده في
�سيرهم ذهنه في فيرتبط ال�سريفة. البقاع هذه في المطهرين اأولئك تردد لل�سعائر واأداءه الم�ساعر
ويتجذر في قلبه القتداء بهم.
والمنهج، وفيه طرح الر�سالة وبيا�س القلب ونقاء الباطن اإلى طهارة اإ�سارة ونقاوؤه اللبا�س بيا�س .2
للزينة، واإظهار للم�سكنة، وتذكر الموت حين يلب�س الإحرام ذلكم اللبا�س ال�سبيه بالكفن فكاأنه م�ستعد
للقدوم على اهلل جل وعال.
وانتظامها الآمة ووحدة وحده، لل�سارع والت�سريع بطاعته هلل والرق التعبد الميقات، من الإح��رام .3
اإدارك عناية اهلل وف�سله حيث حدد له كل ما يعنيه في عبادته، اأهمية الجتماع والإتالف، و�سبطها،
وفيه هذا قطع للتردد وال�سك والو�سو�سة، ومنع للفرقة والختالف، فقد يقول قائل : اإن الإحرام من هذا
اأف�سل واآخر يقول : ل بل من هذا اأكمل...
4. الحج �سعار التوحيد من اأو ل لحظة يتلب�س به الحاج : قال جابر بن عبد اهلل : “ ثم اأهل بالتوحيد لبيك
اللهم لبيك لبيك ل �سريك لك لبيك اإن الحمد والنعمة لك والملك ل �سريك لك لبيك “ رواه م�سلم، وقال
اأن�س في و�سفه لإهالل ر�سول اهلل �سلى اهلل عليه و�سلم اأنه قال : “ لبيك عمرة ل رياء فيها ول �سمعة “
تربية النف�س على توحيد اهلل والإخال�س له...
وتوحيده، اهلل عبودية في معه تتجاوب المخلوقات حيث �سائر مع بترابطه يلبي وهو الحاج ي�سعر .5
يقول الر�سول ر�سول اهلل �سلى اهلل عليه و�سلم : “ما من ملب يلبي اإل لبى ما عن يمينه وعن �سماله من
�سجر وحجر حتى تنقطع الأر�س من هنا وهنا” يعني عن يمينه و�سماله. رواه ابن خزيمة والبيهقي ب�سند
�سحيح
6. تذكر الآخرة حين يجتمع النا�س في �سعيد واحد في عرفات وغيرها لي�س بينهم تفا�سل ول تغاير الكل
في هذا البلد �سواء ل ف�سل لأحد على اأحد فيه.
وقبلتهم و�سعائرهم واأعمالهم لبا�سهم في �سوا�سية النا�س جعل الحج ف��اإن الوحدة �سعار الحج .7
اأحد: الملك والمملوك الغني والفقير الوجيه والحقير في ميزان واحد واأماكنهم، فالف�سل لأحد على
الخ.
الباد على فيه لل�ساكن لف�سل البيت هذا في �سوا�سية وهم والواجبات، الحقوق في �سوا�سية فالنا�س
يفرق اأن لأحد ولي�س والجن�سيات الأل��وان بين الحرام لفرق البيت في مت�ساوون كلهم فهم والم�سافر
بينهم.
وحدة في الم�ساعر ووحدة في ال�سعائر، وحدة في الهدف، وحدة في العمل، وحدة في القول “النا�س من
اآدم، واآدم من تراب لف�سل لعربي على اأعجمي ول لأبي�س على اأ�سود اإل بالتقوى”
8. تربية على القناعة في اللبا�س وال�سكن حيث يلب�س خرقة من قطعيتين فتكفيه، وي�سكن في مكان بقدر
نومه فيغنيه.
مختلفين مفترقين كانوا واإن فاإنهم للم�سلمين العظيم الجتماع بهذا وال�سالل الكفر اأهل اإرهاب .9
فاإن مجرد اجتماعهم على اختالفهم في وقت معين ومكان معين يدل على اإمكان اجتماعهم في غيره.
الحج بينما عند لوحده ي�سافر اإن�سان تجده كل فاإن الم�سلمين بين والتاآلف الجتماع اأهمية بيان .10
تجده مع مجموعه....
11. التعرف على اأحوال الم�سلمين من خالل الم�سادر الموثوقة، حيث ي�سمع الم�سلم من اأخيه مبا�سرة.
12. تبادل المنافع والخبرات بين الم�سلمين عامة.
الم�سلمين وحاجاتهم، اأحوال البلدان وتدار�س والعلم والحل والعقد من جميع الراأي اأهل 13. اجتماع
واأهمية ت�سامنهم وتعاونهم.
14. تحقيق عبودية اهلل تعالى في وقوفه في الم�ساعر ورميه للجمار. مع تركه للحرم الذي هو اأف�سل من
تلك البقاع
15. غفران الذنوب “ من حج ولم يرفث ولم يف�سق رجع من ذنوبه كيوم ولدته اأمه “
16. فتح باب الأمل لأهل المعا�سي وتربيتهم على تركها ونبذها في تلك الم�ساعر؛ حيث يتركون كثيرا من
عاداتهم ال�سيئة خالل فترة الحج وفي الم�ساعر.
17. بيان اأن الإ�سالم دين النظام ففي الحج ترتيب للمنا�سك والوقت فال يتقدم �سيء على الآخر كل عمل
في مكانه وفي وقته المحدد له.
18. تربية النف�س على النفقة في وجوه الخير والبعد عن ال�سح فالحاج يبذل الأموال الكثيرة من اأجل
الحج في الراحلة وفي الطريق وفي الم�ساعر.
19.اكت�ساب تقوى القلوب و�سالحها بتعظيم �سعائر اهلل. يقول اهلل تعالى:)ومن يعظم �سعائر اهلل فاإنها
من تقوى القلوب(
20. تربية لالأغنياء بترك تميزهم في لبا�سهم و�سكنهم وم�ساواتهم للفقراء في اللبا�س والم�ساعر من
طواف و�سعي ورمي. وفي هذا تربية لهم على التوا�سع، ومعرفة حقارة الدنيا.
21. مداومة الحاج على الطاعة وذكر اهلل تعالى في اأيام الحج وهو ينتقل من م�سعر اإلى م�سعر ومن عمل
اإلى اآخر وهذا بمثابة دورة �سنوية مكثفة في طاعة اهلل وذكره
اإلى النا�س فير�سد ال�سال، ويعلم الجاهل، وي�ساعد الفقير، ويقف مع 22. تربية النف�س على الإح�سان
العاجز وال�سعيف.
يتعر�س اأن له من الحاج لبد فاإن الخلق، الأذى من الحلم وتحمل الح�سنة من بالأخالق التخلق .23
لمزاحمة اأو مخا�سمة اأو غير ذلك. قال تعالى:)الحج اأ�سهر معلومات فمن فر�س فيهن الحج فال رفث
ول ف�سوق ول جدال في الحج (
24. التربية على ال�سبر وتحمل الم�سقة من حر وطول طريق وبعد عن الأهل وتردد بين الم�ساعر وزحام
فيها.
لبا�سه. وترك راأ�سه بك�سف ملزم الحاج فاإن والماألوفات، والتقاليد العادات ترك على التدرب .25
و�سيترك ما اعتاده من �سكن وطعام و�سراب.
26. في �سعي الحاج بين ال�سفا والمروة يتذكر اأن من اأطاع اهلل وتوكل عليه واعت�سم به فاإنه ل ي�سيع
ويرفع ذكره فهذه هاجر اأم اإ�سماعيل عليهما ال�سالم لما قالت لإبراهيم : “ اآهلل اأمرك بهذا “ قال : “
نعم “ قالت : اذهب فلن ي�سيعنا “ فرفع اهلل ذكرها وبداأ النا�س ي�سعون مثلها بما فيهم الأنبياء عليهم
ال�سالم.
27. تربية النف�س على عدم الياأ�س من روح اهلل مهما ا�ستدت الخطوب وعظمت الكروب فاإن اهلل بيده
الفرج فهذه اأم اإ�سماعيل كاد وليدها اأن يهلك وبداأت ترك�س من جبل اإلى اآخر تتطلع للفرج فاأتاها من
حيث ل تحت�سب اإذ نزل الملك ف�سرب الأر�س فخرج ماء زمزم.
28. ماء زمزم وما فيه من �سفاء لأمرا�س القلوب والأبدان.
29. يتذكر الحاج اأنه في هذه الم�ساعر في �سيافة الرحمن فاجتماع الحج لم تدع له حكومة ولهيئة ول

يريد لأنه ح�سنة، معاملة ومعاملته وم�ساعدته بالجار الهتمام ب�سرورة
الخير لأتباعه وللب�سرية جميعا.
قال �سلى اهلل عليه و�سلم: )ومن كان يوؤمن باهلل واليوم الآخر فليكرم جاره(
متفق عليه. انظروا اإلى عظمة هذا الحديث، وماهي النتيجة لو طبق النا�س
هذا الحديث، اأي كل جار يكرم جاره ويقدم له ما يحتاج.. اإذا �سوف تنتهي
الم�ساكل بين النا�س.. ولن نجد اأحدا في المحاكم اأو ال�سجون!
حديث اأخر عجيب ورد عن النبي �سلى اهلل عليه و�سلم، يقول فيه: )واهلل ل
يوؤمن واهلل ل يوؤمن واهلل ل يوؤمن( قيل: ومن يا ر�سول اهلل؟ قال: )الذي ل
ياأمن جاره بوائقه( رواه البخاري... اأي اأن النبي نفى �سفة الإيمان عن كل
من يوؤذي جاره..
اإذا تعالوا وقي�سوا اليوم على واقعنا، ما هي ن�سبة الم�سلمين الذين يطبقون
هذا الحديث؟ ربما تكون الن�سبة مخيفة لأنك قد ل تجد بين النا�س اليوم من
يكرم جاره ويعمل على م�ساعدته ويحب له الخير كما يحبه لنف�سه... اإذا ما
هي ن�سبة الم�سلمين الحقيقية ي ع�سرنا هذا؟
واهلل لو طيق النا�س اليوم ن�سيحة واحدة من ن�سائح النبي الأعظم – مثل
الهتمام بالجار - لزالت جميع م�ساكلنا ولأ�سبحنا من خير الأمم واأكثرها
عليه اهلل �سلى الكريم النبي لماذا ندرك ربما هنا ومن وتقدما.. تطورا
و�سلم اأو�سى بالجار وقال: )ما زال جبريل يو�سيني بالجار حتى ظننت اأنه
ليورثنه( متفق عليه.
واأخيرا عزيزي القارئ اأرجو منك الهتمام بجيرانك واإكرامهم وم�ساعدتهم

في الق�ساء على التهابات في المختبرات، قبل اأن ت�ستخدم في
عالج ع�سرة من الخيول كانت تعاني جروحا غائرة.
وقال الباحث األيخاندرا فا�سكويز: “اإنها في الواقع بكتيريا حية
ون�سطة وهي العن�سر الرئي�سي في نوعية العالج التي جربناه،
ن�ستطيع اأخذ الدواء القديم ومزجه مع هذه البكتيريا والع�سل
كي الحرجة الجروح على المزيج هذا ن�سع حيث الطبيعي،
تلتئم وت�ساهم في عملية ال�سفاء ال�سريع”.
واأو�سح الباحثون اأن هذه البكتيريا الحم�سية ربما ت�ساهم في
عالج �ساللت ممر�سة ت�سبب عدوى عند الب�سر، وياأملون في
اأبحاث الع�سل هذه لإنتاج عقاقير خا�سة باأنواع من اأن تتطور
الأمرا�س اأ�سبحت مقاومة للم�سادات الحيوية.

�سحية م�سكلة هو النتحار اإن العالمية
عجز واأك�����دت ل��ه��ا، ع���الج ل ونف�سية
الهيئات ال�سحية العالمية عن مناق�ستها
خف�س �سرورة موؤكدة لها، حل واإيجاد
في 10 بن�سبة ال��ع��ال��م ح��ول الن��ت��ح��ار
المائة بحلول عام 2020.
ومن اأبرز ما ورد في التقرير ارتفاع ن�سبة
بالإناث، مقارنة الذكور بين النتحار
كما اأنها ترتفع في الدول الغنية اأكثر من
الدول الفقيرة.

An open letter to the Community of VictoriaWe, the members of the Victoria Police Multi-Faith Council, are writing to the Victorian community to affirm our rejection of all violence, particularly that which is based on sectarianism.
The terrible scenes that have appeared on the internet and on our TV screens over the last few months are abhorrent to all fair minded Victorians. These events have caused many of us to reassess how we live our lives and how we relate to each other across our wonderful multi-faith and multicultural community.
We need to protect what we have built as a community. Together, we can keep each other safe.
Our Prime Minister has raised the public alert levels from Medium to High. In this context, we believe the best way to face potential threats is to work together, inclusively. This approach has served Victorians well for decades.
We must remember the things which have made this state great, our commitment to law and order, a history of working and cooperating with each other, and strong support for those in need, no matter what our religion or race.
During this difficult time, we need to be culturally sensitive, respectful and understanding. While recognising differences we also need to embrace and celebrate our similarities.
All of us have the right to worship and practice our faith. The strength of our multiculturalism and faith diversity has provided a strong foundation to face challenges in a positive and peaceful way.
The security of the Victorian community is everyone’s responsibility and we are asking and encouraging all faith communities to work with us to keep Victoria safe.
At a local level, we are asking the leaders of our faith groupings to encourage and remind their communities that:
• the security changes are about criminal activity occurring both nationally and internationally;
• suspicious activities should be reported to the National Security Hotline on 1800 123 400 or Triple Zero (000);
• any acts of religious or racial vilification should be reported immediately to Triple Zero (000); and
• liaison with local police is encouraged to strengthen safety and community connections.
Faith leaders also have a role to encourage community members to pursue their values and beliefs while simultaneously responding and reporting discrimination or other illegal activity.
Victoria Police have undertaken to respond to any complaints in a fair and unbiased manner using human rights principles.
The Council stands united with Victoria Police in its belief that the cohesion and harmony which exists across our state will be our greatest asset in keeping each other safe so that we can continue enjoying one of the most successful multicultural and multi-faith societies in the world.
The Victoria Police Multi-Faith Council is a long established grouping of faith leaders which provides advice to the Chief Commissioner.
Following the elevation of the National Terrorism Public Alert Level to High, the Council met with the Chief Commissioner and agreed to encourage all members of the community to work together in the interests of public safety.

Khaki Election and Australia’s Contribution to World War

Just a hundred years ago, when the British Empire was about to declare war
on the “wicked Hun” i.e. the Government of Germany, just four Cabinet members in Joseph Cook’s Liberal government decided to leap into the fray. They decided that our entire navy and 20,000 troops should be contributed to the imperial cause, forty hours ahead of the British Cabinet decision. It was election time and love of Empire and the khaki of the imperial armed forces went down well in Australia in those days.The Liberals intended to use the war to isolate the Labor Party. Their electoral opportunism was summed up by a Liberal Senate candidate who noted that ‘the European situation affords Liberals in Australia excellent material for a good war-cry during the current campaign’ allowing them to attack Labor in a “khaki election” as “traitorous, a friend of Germany and a nest of Irishmen disloyal to Empire”, no matter how fanciful this description was.To avoid being wedged by this shameless and dishonest xenophobia, Fisher, leader of the Labor Party, pledged to help and defend Britain “to our last man and our last shilling”. ‘In times of emergency’, he declared, the Labor Opposition would ‘stand behind the government in all measures ... to assist the Mother Country’. In this khaki election of 1914, Fisher and the Labor Party won but the strain was too much for him and in October 1915 Billy Hughes took over as PM. Devoted to the Empire and the war effort, Hughes, who was born in Britain, tried to introduce conscription. Two thirds of his party, composed of Irish Catholics, trade unionists and socialists, were opposed to this so he had to try to win by plebiscite. He vilified Catholics, socialists, pacifists, indeed anyone who opposed his policies. He lost the plebiscite but wanted to keep trying to get men conscripted, so he was expelled from the Labor Party in 1916 and went on to establish the National Labor Party, which soon allied with the Liberals to form the Nationalist Party of Australia. He was hated as a “Labor rat” for the rest of his life.Repression of dissent became one of the features of his period of office. The Sydney Twelve were members of the Industrial Workers of the World arrested on 23 September 1916 in Sydney, Australia, and charged with treason under the Treason Felony Act (1848). The IWW were vehement opponents of the war and conscription. Billy Hughes forced the Unlawful Associations Act (1916) through Federal Parliament in five days during December 1916, then had the IWW declared an unlawful association. Put on trial, the 12 men were sentenced from fifteen to five years jail. In 1920 after the election of a Labor Government in NSW, their sentencing was investigated. Ten of the men were released in August 1920, and two others slightly later.Political leadership by this sycophant of Empire brought negative results for the world. Hughes demanded and won separate Australian representation at the Versailles Peace Settlement. When the President of the USA questioned Hughes right to have so much influence in world affairs, with a population of only five million, Hughes relied “I speak for 60,000 dead. For how many do you speak?”By insisting that Germany pay the full cost of the war, he helped lay the ground for the rise of Hitler from a justified base of German resentment. By having the ‘racial equality’ clause removed from the covenant of the League of Nations and by opposing Japanese claims to German colonies north of the equator he played a significant part in the events that led to the Pacific war with that nation.Basking in the glory of his nickname “The Little Digger” which came from his unwavering support of the British war effort against Germany, he remained in Parliament until his death at the age of 90 in 1952. Although his reputation has been whitewashed in most accounts of this period of our history, some remember his attempts to conscript men for the meat grinder of the Western Front and his contributions to the outbreak of World War II. Few remember the Sydney Twelve.Opportunist exploitation of war and national crisis are not restricted to Australia, but they are less common today than they were 100 years ago. That is the result of public education systems. However as we can see today in our fair land, such tricks have not disappeared from the magic box.

should not have cost a young man his life and put two police officers in hospital. There needs to be a full and objective investigation into this incident to ensure that such a tragedy is never repeated. Our focus, at this time, is on supporting the
family of the young man; ensuring that their needs are catered for. There will be many questions that they will want answers to and in
the fullness of time we expect that the events of last night will become clearer. This tragedy highlights the real cost of a failure to deal with these serious issues and why we have made numerous calls on the Australian government to deal with the root causes of alienation and disaffection of people such as this. This is not about laying blame but about a genuine need to identify the root causes and deal with them so that no further tragedies such as this occur again.

of key Australian Muslim community organisations wish to reassure all Australians that they have nothing to fear from their Muslim neighbours who want peace and security for everyone regardless of religion. Dr Ibrahim Abu Mohammad reiterated that: “We have a vested interest in the safety and security of Australia.” The individuals arrested and charged yesterday should be accorded the presumption of innocence until proven guilty. “Everyone should allow the judicial process to take its
full course without prejudice,” said the Mufti of Australia.Community organisations have reported a dramatic increase over the last few weeks in incidents of abuse and discrimination especially against Muslim Australians. We call on anyone who may have suffered a hate or bias motivated crime to call and contact the nearest police station and to report it using a special Facebook page that has been set up to register these incidents. focus of attention should be on the alleged criminality of those involved and not on rhetoric which serves only to promote disharmony. “Fair-minded Australians should not allow bigots and media shock jocks to undermine the cohesion within society,” said the Mufti of Australia.

its foreign policy agenda recently branded as the so-called ‘Abbot doctrine’. Tony Abbot came to power through promoting fear and hatred of asylum seekers, ethnic minorities and indigenous Australians. The Abbot government’s extreme right wing agenda naturally reflects this world view but in a very confusing and extreme nature compared to the Howard or even Hawke-Keating years. Australia is fighting an undeclared covert and overt military war against the Islamic State (IS) declared Islamic Caliphate in Iraq and parts of Syria evidently reported in the mainstream Australian media. We are informed that Abbot government is currently sending 600 Australian troops and offering tax payer-funded military training and four RAAF F-18 super hornet fighter jet at the estimated tax payer cost of $ 400 million per year to provide air support to secular ethnic non-Arab Kurdish separatists from the PKK and other Marxist-Leninist anti-Islamic, nationalistic armed groups like Peshmerga fighting Sunni Arab Muslims of Iraq and Syria. This is an escalation to a new war and must
be condemned by all peace loving A u s t r a l i a n s because Abbot government is promoting more ethnic conflicts and laying the seeds of future religious and sectarian wars in the region. PPK is a p r o s c r i b e d t e r r o r i s t o r g a n i s a t i o n under Australian law and was rightly so banned because of its atrocities. Sending Australian SAS military trainers to a terror entity like PKK and their allies like Peshmerga, and Iraqi Shia death squads in the name of ‘humanitarian aid’ clearly exposes the Abbot government’s double standards and lack of moral ethics in international affairs. PPK has murdered thousands of innocent Turkish civilians both ethnic Turkish and religious Sunni Kurds since early 1980s. Arming one side in a complex and multilayered civil war in an extremely volatile sectarian region is a sign of Liberal party’s ideological extremism towards international peace and order in the name of fighting political Islam. ECCVWith the state election just two months away, Victorians from all backgrounds are
encouraged to ensure they are enrolled to vote. It is important that people from diverse and multicultural backgrounds understand their democratic rights and responsibilities around enrolment and voting in elections, Ethnic Communities’ Council of Victoria (ECCV) chairperson Eddie Micallef said. “Make sure your voice is heard in the Victorian state election on November 29, 2014,” Mr Micallef said. “Voting gives you a say in who represents you.” Victorians have until November 11, 2014 to get on the electoral roll. For new and emerging communities, barriers to participation may include varying levels of literacy and language and a limited understanding of the Australian electoral system and experiences with other forms of government in their country of origin. In its submission to the Inquiry into the Impact of Social
Media on Victorian Elections and Victoria’s Electoral Administration, the ECCV recommended that both traditional media and written and audio/visual materials (translated accordingly) represent a good option to improve multicultural communities’ knowledge of electoral processes. “This option should also be complemented with outreach sessions. These sessions should be as interactive as possible and not be used as a one-way transmission of information,” the submission stated. Areas with high migrant populations typically have higher rates of informal voting, and to counter this, the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) has piloted the Democracy Ambassador project with people from the Horn of Africa (Eritrea, Somalia, Ethiopia, North Sudan and South Sudan). The VEC has trained community members
to become C o m m u n i t y Educators, and they are now available to meet with community groups and can present information about elections and
voting in Amharic, Arabic, Dinka, Nuer and Tigrinya. The Community Educators are seeking opportunities to engage with communities. PRESS RELEASE The Australian National Imams Council (ANIC), as stated previously, believes that one of the main causative
factor for local radicalisation in the west has been the western governments’ military involvement in the Middle East. The support of unjust, dictatorial regimes as well as unilateral military aggression based on duplicitous foreign policy positions has only aggravated the state of global fear and violence. If the Australian government is serious about reducing the terror threat locally, then it must review its foreign policy decisions with regard to this region. It is on this basis that His Eminence, Professor Ibrahim Abu Mohamed, Grand Mufti of Australia and ANIC opposes the government’s current decision to transport and provide weapons to the Kurdish forces in Iraq.
The decision by the government, given the complexities present in Iraq, is confounded by the following: • The decision is not based on a United Nations’ resolution sanctioning such action. And this is despite the fact that Australia currently sits on the UN Security Council. • The weapons are not earmarked for a national government but rather for a breakaway force that includes a listed terrorist organisation, the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). • The likelihood of mission creep given the government has already foreshadowed the possibility of deploying SAS soldiers and fighter jets.
Professor Ibrahim Abu Mohamed voiced his opposition stating: “ANIC calls on the government to reexamine its decision to provide weapons to Kurdish forces in Iraq. The Government will be imputed for further radicalization locally if it continues military intervention in the middle East.” ANIC fully supports the government’s current humanitarian assistance
insofar as food, water and medical supplies to affected regions in Iraq are concerned. This is a just and noble act that all citizens will applaud.

Enrol to vote and have your voice heard!
This short note is to provide some information for those who’s Australian passport is about to be or has been cancelled.The Australian Passports Act 2005 (Cth) (Act) came
into effect on 1 July 2005. It sought to ‘balance the citizen’s sense of entitlement to a passport’ with the government’s duty to protect Australia. The Act allows the government to refuse to issue passports to criminals, terrorists, persons using false identities, and to children lacking appropriate parental supervision or relevant court sanction to travel, and to cancel passports once issued. The Act also changed the basis upon which ministerial discretion operated. It prescribed in detail the circumstances where the Minister for Foreign Affairs, or his delegate, may (or must) refuse or cancel a passport. It also makes those decisions reviewable under the Administrative Appeals Tribunal Act 1975 (Cth).The Minister has discretion to cancel or refuse to issue a passport where a competent authority has reasonable grounds to believe that a person is ‘likely to engage in conduct ... prejudic[ial to] the security of Australia or a foreign country,’ or ‘might endanger the health or physical safety of other persons’, or ‘might interfere with the rights or freedoms of other persons’ or if the person’s conduct might constitute an indictable offence under the Act or another law of the Commonwealth ‘specified in a Minister’s determination.’ In practice, this means offences relating to national and international security (including terrorism), illicit drugs, pedophilia or child pornography, or violent offences.Australian citizens do not need to obtain a visa under the Migration Act 1958 (Cth) in order to re-enter Australia from overseas. However, this does not necessarily mean that Australian citizens have an ‘absolute right of re-entry’ into the country. Section 4(3) of the Migration Act provides that the Act requires citizens, as well as non-citizens, to identify themselves upon entering Australia — although the purpose of this is expressed as being furtherance of the Migration Act’s object of regulating the entry into and presence in Australia of non-citizens. The key provision to this end is s 166(1), which requires both citizens and non-citizens to present identification evidence for immigration clearance when entering Australia. For Australian citizens, this identification evidence typically consists of the person’s passport. Refusal or cancellation of a citizen’s passport deprives that citizen of the right to travel abroad. If a person’s passport is cancelled while they are overseas, the cancellation would, in a practical sense, deprive them of the capacity to re-enter Australia. As noted above, the Act provides for certain decisions made by the Australian Passport Office to be reviewable decisions. STATEMENT The Israeli Government must reverse its decision to claim
almost 400 hectares of land in the West Bank. Ten days ago, Labor called on the Israeli Government to explain its actions. Subsequent reports indicate the land may be used to expand Israeli settlements in the area. Unilateral action like this, by any party, only undermines the peace process and the prospect of successfully negotiating a two-state solution.
It is particularly disappointing given recent agreement to a ceasefire that ended the terrible violence of the Gaza conflict. Israeli settlement activity in the West Bank is not in line with international law. Labor supports a return to negotiations between the parties for a lasting peace through a two state solution.

GAZA EMERGENCY RESPONSEThe Gaza crisis has forcibly displaced up to half a million people, equating to almost 30% of Gaza’s population, including
about 65,000 people whose homes have been destroyed or damaged beyond repair and have nowhere to return. Gaza’s public health system is on the verge of collapse while the number of casualties continues to grow. Medication and medical supplies, food, water, hygiene materials and fuel are among the essential items urgently required to support the people of Gaza.Generous donations from communities, organisations and individuals such as yourselves have made it possible for Islamic Help to reach and respond to the disadvantaged populations of Palestine. Against all difficulties and dangers, Islamic Help’s team continue to carry out its obligation towards those in need.
Health and HygieneTen of Gaza’s 26 hospitals have had to shut down and 34 out of 75 primary health clinics have also closed. Emergency care remains a high priority for staff with medication and equipment running drastically low. Hospitals are dependent, almost exclusively, on back-up generators as their main source of power. The lack of electricity and fuel shortages has further disrupted access to water for the entire population. The problems have been compounded by the destruction of water and sewage treatment plants. Medical supplies worth $200,000 were procured within Gaza and distributed to hospitals in liaison with medical authorities. 200 medical kits were distributed on 22nd July 2014 to Kamal Idwan Hospital, Beit Lahia and Nasser Hospital, Khan Younis. A shipment of medical supplies worth $198,213.42 (£117,656.67) has been despatched from Salt Lake City, USA to Palestine. Islamic Help will distribute this shipment within Gaza in partnership with the Palestinian Red Crescent and in coordination with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, UNHCR.Sanitation and hygiene is a high priority for displaced Palestinians. The UN Relief and Works Agency, UNRWA – the UN agency responsible for Palestinians – will coordinate the delivery of 3,000 hygiene
kits containing essential items on behalf of Islamic Help’s donors. In response to the fuel crisis affecting Gaza’s hospital generators, on 22 July 2014 an agreement was negotiated between the UNRWA and a coalition of charities led by Islamic Help. The fuel will be delivered directly by UNRWA to the hospitals with Islamic Help’s support. Gaza’s displaced population is in increasing need of emergency food assistance and clean drinking water.
Our ResponseAs part of the emergency food response, our team has distributed 3950 family food packs containing essential food items, reaching 15,800 people in 7 UNRWA schools and non-UNRWA locations. Many of the families moved to these locations from the Shuja’ya neighbourhood which has been mostly destroyed. 350 of these packs were part of a general distribution to families and the others were:- 22 & 24 July 2014: Al-Zaitoun Boys School, UNRWA – 900 food packs - 23 July 2014: Al-Bahrain Junior School, UNRWA – 400 food packs-24 July 2014: Al-Zaitoun Girls School, UNRWA – 400 food packs -26 July 2014: Al-Shati Girls School, UNRWA – 362 food packs-26 July 2014:Al-Shati Elementary School, UNRWA – 275 food packs-26 July 2014: Al-Shati Boys School, UNRWA – 212 food packs-26 July 2014: Displaced families outside of UNRWA centres – 58 food packs-26 July 2014: National Agency for Family Care – 491 food packs-27 July 2014: Al-Zaitoun Elementary
School, UNRWA - 502 food packs200 large family food packs, designed to last a family of 5 for a month are being prepared for distribution. Additionally a fortnightly convoy from Jordan to Gaza will supply food items and essential medicines to Palestinians on behalf of Islamic Help.
Rebuilding LivesIslamic Help’s work in Gaza has only just begun. Through the generosity of our supporters, we have already provided urgently needed food, water and medicines to thousands of people in Gaza. But it is only the beginning. The destruction wrought on the enclave has destroyed communities, infrastructure and people’s lives. The rebuilding of Gaza will take years if not decades.With teams on the ground providing direct help and aid, and in partnership with United Nations agencies and other organisations like the Palestine Red Crescent, Islamic Help is committed to meeting the immediate needs of Gaza’s population.As the conflict subsides, we will not only step up our delivery of food, water and hygiene materials alongside medicine and medical supplies, but launch major programmes to help the rebuilding of Gaza. If they do that, then Allah will punish the community along with the sinners.” (Musnad Ahmad 17627)A large section of the Australian Christian community has taken a strong stand on the mistreatment and imprisonment of asylum seekers. A strong message against Federal Government injustice was delivered by Catholic nun Sister Jan Barnett, along with several other Christian protesters, arrested in Treasurer Joe Hockey’s office in August this year. Pax Christi pointed out in a press release that in the four months before August, 45 religious leaders from many different denominations had been arrested after holding prayer vigils in offices of MPs from both the Liberal and Labor parties. In June an Adelaide Rabbi was arrested in the office of the Liberal member for Mayo.Professor Louise Newman , Director of the Centre for Developmental Psychiatry and Psychology, at Monash Medical Centre, issued “J’Accuse” a statement inviting signatures from all who supported it. Very quickly over 200 professionals added their names and now, circulated on Get Up, it has over 50,000 signatures. Included in their 13 points was one which rings loud and clear to the Muslim and Arab communities: “We the undersigned, accuse the current Federal Government and both major political parties of willfully and deliberately: 8. Tolerating and/or encouraging racist media coverage (rather than educating and promoting public deliberation, as with closely related issues such as people with mental illness).”Bruce Duncan in an article ‘Asylum Seekers: when does silence become complicity” stated: The Australian Catholic bishops on 9 May made an exceptionally strong attack on the treatment of asylum seekers as shameful and cruel, bringing dishonour on Australia. …The bishops supported their fellow bishops of PNG in opposing the use of Manus Island for detention, and called for humane solutions for asylum seekers.”Presenting the report “Protecting the Lonely Children” in July this year, the chair of the Australian Churches Refugee Taskforce, Anglican Dean Peter Catt said: “These children are held like animals in conditions that are inhumane, interrogated without support or representation, shipped around the country and offshore in the middle of the night, and denied basic rights, including education.”Never one to miss an opportunity for whipping up hysteria, after the alleged terrorist plot in Sydney, the Australian newspaper ran the headline ‘Mohammad Ali Baryalei: from refugee to battlefield plot ringmaster’. Worse still perhaps was Wagga Wagga’s Daily Advertiser (owned by Fairfax), with an opinion piece that claimed ‘The flood of “asylum seekers” like Mohammad Ali Baryalei and those at the Liverpool mosque had to be stopped.’ ‘Such attempts to smear refugees and Muslims as terrorists are completely unjustified, they do nothing to prevent terrorism, but will stoke racism against refugees and Muslims’ said Chris Breen for the Refugee Action Collective. ‘Mohammad Ali Baryalei came to Australia as a child refugee, but his refugee status has absolutely nothing to do with the allegations against him. He grew up in Australia, and later appeared as an actor on Australian TV series Underbelly. The Australian could equally pointlessly have titled its article “from Australian actor to battlefield plot ringmaster” but chose to smear refugees’ said Breen. We have responsibilities in a democracy to uphold what is fair and right.

Dear Friends of Palestine in AustraliaThe people of the world have
been shocked and horrified at the recent brutal and disproportionate assault on the people of Gaza. Over 2000 people have died, hundreds of them children. The infrastructure of Gaza, already greatly damaged in previous similar attacks, is now completely degraded, with basics such as water and electricity denied to the vast majority of the population. Thousands are without shelter and medicines and 80% of the population are dependent on UN assistance.The world waits while representatives of Israel and the Palestinians negotiate a ceasefire and we hope that there will be peace. But peace will not come until the illegal occupation of the Palestinians ends. It will not come to Gaza until Israel and Egypt lift the 8 year siege that has crippled the Gazan economy and squeezed the population,
creating enormous hardships for the people there.Decades of reliance on diplomacy to deliver a just outcome in Palestine have come to nothing. But a new hope lies in the ordinary citizens of the world. This is the worldwide non-violent movement known as the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement, or “BDS”. This movement carries the hope of millions of ordinary people who are turning the tide through economic pressure to force Israel to end its occupation of the Palestinians and participate in a just resolution to the conflict between these two peoples who deserve peace.Many of you in Australia are part of the BDS movement. You are seen every week in different cities and towns talking to other Australians about BDS and informing them about the injustices suffered by the Palestinians. Many others of you participate individually by choosing not to buy Israeli products or the products of
companies that support Israel in its illegal occupation of Palestine. Others of you refuse to buy tickets to the Israeli Film Festival, or boycott Israeli academics who come from Israeli Universities that support Israel’s policies of occupation. This is the power of BDS.We in South Africa, who know about oppression and occupation and who know about the power of BDS, salute the Australian BDS movement and we join with you in calling for Israel to end the Occupation; to end the siege of Gaza. We join with you in calling on the Australian Government to demand that the occupation of the West Bank ends; for Israel to stop the illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank; for the siege of Gaza to be permanently lifted.We in South Africa join with you and we shout “Free Free Palestine!”

We pray and look forward to your safe return, Insha’Allah, invigorated and with renewed faith and humility! Eid al Adha is a time for sacrifice in the great traditions of our prophets, especially Sayyedina Ibrahim (Abraham), may Allah’s peace and blessings be on him and his progeny. Allah so loved the willing and unquestioning obedience and sacrifice of Prophet Abraham that He made it incumbent upon all those who can afford it to sacrifice healthy animals and to distribute the meat to neighbours, the poor and needy and to relatives and family. During the Hajj pilgrimage and throughout the world, Muslims will be obeying the order of Allah swt and offer this sacrifice of animals! A time of enjoyment and fulfilment is also a time to reflect on the plight of those less fortunate and those who are suffering in many parts of the world. May Allah accept our prayers for peace, safety and security in Australia and throughout the troubled parts of the world! AFIC HISTORY
In 1963 the Australian Muslim community adopted an organisational structure for the cause of Islam in Australia. At the grass roots level local Muslims formed Islamic Societies to serve their basic needs in terms of education and prayer facilities. The building of Mosques and providing religious education became the primary objective.The Islamic Councils of each State and Territory united to form State Islamic Councils representing their respective Muslim communities at the peak State level. At the national level the State and Territory Islamic Councils formed the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils Inc (AFIC), as the national umbrella organisation for Australian Muslims representing Islam and Muslims at a national and international level. AFIC has its head office in Sydney with branch offices in Melbourne.As a democratic organisation, AFIC holds Federal Council Meetings with all State and Territory affiliates quarterly and an Annual Congress with all State , Territory Councils and Societies participating. The AFIC Committee of Management is elected every three years by the Annual Congress.
Our MissionThe mission of AFIC is to provide service to the community in a manner that is in accordance with the teachings of Islam and within the framework of Australian law. To advocate on behalf of the Muslim community on all such matters that will affect the community’s relevance, settlement and integration within Australian society. The main role of AFIC is to represent Islam and Muslims of Australia as one “Ummah” to the government and other bodies nationally and internationally. AFIC coordinates and provides resources for activities of its State Islamic Councils and member Islamic societies.

Opening Ceremony of the World Alliance of Religions’ Peace Summit to Mark the Event’s Beginning
Press Release On September 17, the Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration
of Light (HWPL, Chairman Man Hee Lee) held the 2014 World Alliance of Religions’ Peace Summit at the Seoul Olympic Stadium. During the opening ceremony, the entrance of distinguished guests was followed by the spectacular Card Section performance, which conveyed the vanity of war. As the host of the event, Mr. Man Hee Lee delivered the opening address in which he said, “If the heads of state love their country and people, they should sign an international agreement that would put an end to all wars and bring about peace.” After that, Ms. Nam Hee Kim, the chairwoman of the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG), delivered the commemorative address and spoke about how she changed after meeting the true advocate of peace and about the power of women that can achieve world peace. Prior to the opening address, a
video was shown of Mr. Lee’s peace movement and his World Peace Tours, during which he travelled to 54 countries and delivered the message of peace. In January in Mindanao of the Philippines—one of the most war-torn regions in Asia—Mr. Lee played a key role in resolving the 40-year conflict between Catholics and Muslims through a peace agreement. Also, in Zamboanga City of Mindanao, Mr. Lee presented the practical solution to peace at the Peace Walk in which over 12,000 people participated. Messages congratulating the
opening of the 2014 World Alliance of Religions’ Peace Summit were delivered by Emil Constantinescu, the former President of Romania; Kgalema Petrus Motlanthe, the Deputy President of South Africa; Alexander Rutskoy, the former Vice President of Russia; Bertie Ahern, the former Taoiseach of Ireland; Stjepan Mesic, the former President of Croatia; Gaudencio Rosales, Archbishop Emeritus of Manila; Giani Gurbachan Singh, the Jathedar of Akal Takht; and Shmuley Boteach, an American Orthodox Rabbi. Notably, Emil Constantinescu, the president
of ICD Academy and former President of Romania, said in his congratulatory speech that “everyone in the world should become the messenger of peace, irrespective of nationality or race.” After Mr. Lee proclaimed the opening of the summit, a variety of congratulatory performances including “Dance of Peace, Festival of Light” and “World is One” were presented.

A concert in Melbourne has raised thousands of dollars to support
jailed Australian journalist Peter Greste. The Al Jazeera journalist was sentenced to seven years jail in Egypt after being found guilty of spreading false news and supporting the Muslim Brotherhood. Supporters packed the city’s Hi-Fi bar to promote justice and raise awareness of the journalist’s plight. Victorian Supreme Court Justice, Lex
Lasry, whose idea it was to hold the event was the drummer in the first band. Like many Australians, Justice Lasry finds Peter Greste’s imprisonment entirely unacceptable. Peter Greste’s brother, Mike said his parents, who remain in Egypt, are struggling to cope: “they’re exhausted to say the least, both physically and emotionally, so they’re very much looking forward to coming back or recuperating. But it’s events like this that, you know, really help to spur
us on and keep us going and keep us motivated. To know that there’s so much love and support out there, you know, towards our campaign, you know, just keeps us re-energised”.A consultant for the Greste family, Rick Mitry, lawyer, of Sydney, also present on the night, said that the Egyptian lawyers acting on behalf of Peter Greste and his Al Jazeera colleagues have filed appeals against their convictions. They’re appealing on grounds
that include flaws in the arrest procedure, that the case was a source of ridicule to the Egyptian legal system, and that evidence presented in court didn’t marry with the charges.In a letter written from Mazraa Prison in Cairo where he is being held, Peter Greste said ‘if there is one lesson from prison, it is this; that freedom is like oxygen. As long as you have it you hardly ever think about it.’ He expressed his heartfelt thanks to his supporters.
Mr Mitry said today that it was heartening to read the comments of the Egyptian Ambassador to Australia, His Excellency Mr Hassan El-LAithy, reported in the media on 11 September 2014 regarding his hopes and expectations that Mr Greste would be freed sooner rather than later. He also said that on Monday 24 September 2014 a motion, moved by Mr Laurie Ferguson MP regarding Mr Greste’s unjust incarceration, will be debated in Parliament
House Canberra. Australian correspondent at the concert, Andrew Thomas, said that the danger is that with nothing ongoing right now in Egypt, this drops down the news schedule. The pressure must be maintained on the Egyptian authorities, on the legal system, on the politicians as well to know what a travesty of justice this is and to get Peter and his colleagues out.

EvERYONEWIll STAND AlONE!

In bringing up our children, our main goal as parents must be to raise righteousMuslims. We all realise that parenting
in general is not an easy task and raising righteous children requires multiplied efforts. But in order to be able to raise righteous children, parents need to be righteous themselves. They need to make sure that their ultimate goal is to raise children whom Allah will be pleased with. The most important role of Muslim parents is to make sure that they perfect their children’s Aqeedah from the very early years of age. They need to make sure to live by the principles and fundamentals of Aqeeda and instil those in all aspects of the child’s life. As a matter of fact; being a good example for your children is one of their rights on you. So if parents are genuinely concerned about their child’s religion and character they need to make sure that they present good example for them both in religion practice as well as in terms of character traits.
Character is something which needs to be taught by example and not only by words. This was the practice of our beloved prophet –pbuh- in teaching his companions. So we need to try harder to show good manners and good character. Secondly; I must stress on the right of children to be treated with love and respect. These are two crucial values which can either make or break a child, especially at the adolescent age. Love and respect are the milestones which every family needs to be built on, and it will naturally be fed through to the children. An adolescent may stumble, rebel or show some kind of disobedience. They may also do some totally unexpected things or surprise you with weird behaviours. They may commit an ethical or religious offense or sin which would shake you completely as parents. However; you must not forget that this is part and parcel of the life learning cycle and that they are going through certain physiological and psychological changes which they cannot understand and cope with sometimes. You must not forget that you are the parent and they’re the children, so they are still liable for your
love and respect. You need to deal with the situation in a calm manner and make sure to maintain the love and respect while dealing with the situation. Your aim needs to be reformation rather than punishment. Try to understand them, get closer to them, provide them with space and privacy and never take their respect away from them. Show them that what you’re doing this out of love and care and not just out of authority. They may push you back but you only need to remember; you’re the parent. You must have patience and wisdom in your approach. You also need to be in control of your emotions while dealing with them. You need to understand that they do face challenges in the outside world trying to hold onto their Muslim identity and believes as well as fit within the society. It is very dangerous to subject them to two contradictory lines of upbringing as this will result in deep inner struggle which will only put them off and make them nonconforming.Providing children with balanced discipline and nurturing is essential for bringing up righteousMuslim children.

I sat on a chair at the entrance of a printing shop, waiting for the mock-up of my next book. The lady at the counter told me it would
take an hour, but now it seemedlike ages ago. The outlet was one of many in the huge, white-washed building. In front of me, men and women strode past. Almost everyone I caught sight of appeared to be in a hurry for some reason. Out of the blue, I felt the urge to answer the call of nature. I stood up and began to hunt for the toilet. One flight up the stairs and there it was, a sign that confirmedI had found what I was looking for. But the door was locked. I tried to prise it open. No luck. “May I help you, Ma’am?” I turned to my right and I saw a young man, beaming. Dressed in a crisp shirt and pants, he looked too important to be paying attention to someone else. “I’m looking for the washroom,” I said. “This one is unusable,” he said kindly,”but I have the key to the one upstairs. It’s right next to the elevator.” He handed me a key.I must have looked perplexed, for the next thing he said was,”Everyone who runs an office here gets to keep a key.” As I rode the elevator I wondered, How could he trust me, a total stranger? What if I don’t return the key to him?Half an hour later, I found my way to the prayer room in the building complex. Dhuhr would be in a few minutes. A lady walked in and spread a worn but elegant prayer rug in front of me. Another kind gesture I didn’t expect. I smiled, she smiled back. Just then, a male voice recited the iqama, the second call to prayer, the signal that prayer was about to begin. The voice sounded familiar... Of course! It’s the young man who lent me the key. My heart brimmed with gratitude. Thank you, Allah, for connecting me with just the right person who was in the perfect position and capacity to help me. I am convinced kindness should be the currency we live by today, the hope of the future. The Prophet Muhammad S.A.W (Peace be upon Him) said:”The best of you is he who is best to his family, and I am the best among you to my family.” - Tirmidhi, narrated by Aisha and Abdullah ibn Abbas.What a profound yet simple message! It is easy for us to be kind, to show our best perfect selves, to people we meet on the street, to friends and acquaintances who might not know our true nature. But being consistently kind to members of our household might be harder than we think. Oh, the daily annoyances that come with family! Yet, our ability to be kind to the people closest to us is the acid test of who we are. Quite likely, someone must have taught that young man I met how to be kind. What kind things can you do today that can make a difference to someone near and dear? If you live with your parents,and they drive you up the wall with their demands and expectations, and you are desperately looking for something to cure them, try the kindness potion. Here are three ideas for you: 1) serve them a hearty breakfast you made 2) get them a glass of water when they get home from work 3) buy them a little gift from the money you saved, from the allowance they gave you. It just might turn your parents around. You’ll see. If you are married and your relationship isn’t working the way you want, these three kind acts might up your love bank account: 1) Say”Your father / mother is my hero” in front of your children when you know your spouse is listening 2) Tell your spouse one good thing his / her parents did 3) Forgive your spouse every night before you fall asleep.Let us extend this idea to the people in our neighbourhood. You and I don’t live in a vacuum. After the family unit, neighbours are the building blocks of community. If you have a neighbour who has just moved in nearby, perhaps you could go the extra mile to make them feel welcome. You could: 1) invite them over for tea 2) send them a baked dish or seasonal fruits 3) let them know the bits and bytes of your community. Every single act of kindness you do will make their hearts a little warmer to you. You never know when it might be returned, if not directly to you, then perhaps to your children or grandchildren or great-grandchildren. As Albert Schweitzer says,”Constant kindness can accomplish a lot. As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstanding, mistrust, and hostility to evaporate.” Kindness is the key that might just unlock the goodness and the best within those around you.

and sinful.”(surah al-nisa ayah 107)Islam teaches us that we are to make 70 excuses for our fellow believer in Islam. It may be asked what is the principle behind this? One such answer might be that it is in order for us to live in a world of peace and forgiveness, in order to prevent black hearts and hatred towards our fellow believers, we should consciously and subconsciously drill within the flesh of our skin the “70 excuse” reflex to create a harmonious society. however, the excuses should come from the other members of the community and not from ourselves. constantly making excuses for oneself will start to cause an illness within ourselves that will cause harm to ourselves and others of detrimental nature. Because we will find that we have an umbrella of excuses for bad morals, unjustifiable actions and inexcusable deceit. That is not what Islam teaches us. The heart is a muscle, and science tells us that muscles have their own memory. so if the heart is constantly being used to exercise evil, then that’s what will be stored in its memory and vice versa. If it is good and uncorrupted by self and surroundings, it will remain a steadfast compass for direction and moral standing. a corrupted heart will inevitably lead us to portray this caged evil to manifest within our actions. the heart although hidden deep within the enclosure of our body, cannot hide its intentions and will manifest in action and speech eventually. this is something we cannot escape and allah promises that every liar will be exposed and the truth will reveal itself. so who are we really fooling? making excuses leads to a corrupt heart, because we will end up justifying all our actions until everything is permissible and nothing is unjustifiable. the heart will
become corrupt and if not rectified, will only increase in corruption. we should seek perfection in religion and not seek to justify our evil actions and wrong doings. for those who have chosen to persue their evil ways, allah will only seek to make it easier on them to do so until they bury themselves in sin. For those, allah promises a painful torment. Allah swt says in Surah Al Baqara ayah 10: In their hearts is disease, so Allah sought to increase that illness due to their own inclination. and for them is a painful torment for their lies.”If we feel we are inclined to acts and feelings that Allah describes as undesirable traits of a muslim, we need to seek to cure ourselves of this illness and rectify it. We should seek counsel in Allah and seek refuge from satan who aids to increase the emptiness of the heart.Remember, the words we utter on our tongues are not merely chains of thought, but rather a myriad of ideas built up in one cluster to form belief and values of a person. Surah al Hujurat Ayah 1 “and fear Allah, Allah is all hearer all knower”. Whatever pretty masks we wear
and the costumes we parade with flamboyant colours of laughter and exaggerated feathers of perfect lives and moral dignity we like to display, will all amount to nothing if Allah is not pleased with us. Such masks, only serves to increase an already void heart and miserable existence. Yes, their are those who have perfected the art of illusion by manipulation, but what does it really amount to when Allah the creator of the heavens and the earth, the hearer of the hearts whispers, the giver of life and death is displeased with you? Parade your peacock feathers, for the day of account will leave no stone unturned, no injustice unrectified. In surah Al Baqara ayah 9 Allah SWT says: “They [think to] deceive Allah and those who believe, but they deceive not except themselves and perceive [it] not.” They can keep fooling the creation, but they will never be able to fool the creator. Do not seek to justify your wrong-doings, because it will only serve to harm your soul and corrupt your heart. Nobody will bear your burden or carry your sins on the day of Judgement, everyone will stand alone with his excuses and face Allah.

This has been a particularly challenging time for the Muslim community here in Victoria. Recent terror raids in NSW have once again placed our community in the spotlight around the country. While not in Victoria, undoubtedly they have affected many of our community. As always, all Australians are entitled to the presumption of innocence until proven guilty. There is still much to play out here so we reserve our judgement until then. This is also a time for cool heads to prevail. There were some reports of police using excessive force during the execution of some of these raids. Clearly if this were the case it would be upsetting and unacceptable, but again, the truth will eventually come out and we need to be measured in our response in the meantime.The ICV has an emergency assistance program for families of those affected should similar events happen here in Victoria.In addition to the above, undoubtedly there will be a rise in islamaphobia and hate related crime against Muslims. There are extremist elements within Australian society and we need to be prepared. Please ensure any incidents are immediately reported to police and then to the ICV so we can track these and ensure policy makers are doing all they can to protect all Australians.Lastly, the ICV has also received many positive emails and messages of support from ordinary Australians, who see things as they are and are very supportive. While its not possible to reproduce them all, one such email read as follows: “I welcome the diversity and the richness that Islam has introduced into the broad Australian nation….Hold your heads up high, maintain your faith in your own individual religious beliefs and above all understand and accept that there are many ordinary Aussies like me who embrace you and your families within the rich and broad Australian multi - cultural community.”

The Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey, Prof Numan Kurtulmus, visited the Meadow Heights mosque after attending the G20 Labour and Employment Ministerial Meeting which was held last week in Melbourne. Prof
Kurtulmus had visited Australia in 2009 when he was invited to attend a function organised by the Austalian Islamic Social Association, known namely as Milli Gorus. The occasion gave Prof Kurtulmus an opportunity to catch up with friends in Melbourne. He also gave a talk about recent developments in Turkey and the Middle East.
In Burc College we provide languages other than English. Turkish and Arabic
languages are being offered and Arabic is one of our year 12 subjects. Both languages are offered from year 1 to 10. This enables students to make their choices on the subjects for year 11 and 12. We also offer religious studies in all year levels. Under our religious studies we have Qur’an lessons. We teach students how to read the noble Qur’an from the original Arabic script from year 1 to secondary. Our Qur’an lessons are delivered by highly qualified teachers of Qur’an who uses the well-known book “Qaaidah annuraaniyyah” to teach how to read. Students learn reading and memorising the Noble Quran with tajweed rules from beginner level. The Islamic Studies program
provides a unique combination of the traditional Islamic sciences and the contemporary discourse on religion and Islam to provide a balanced perspective of Islamic studies in today’s world. The course provide students with grounded knowledge and analytical skills in the study of Islam, developing their ability to analyse information in theological, legal, social, contemporary and spiritual aspect of Islam. Students also develop extensive knowledge of Islamic history and introduced to the Arabic language.In Burc College everyone is welcome, our religious classes are non-biased, non-sects approach and un ideological topics. We believe in unity of the ummah and in a general sense we concentrate on things that bring us together as one people, one nation, one book,

Merhamet Muslim Welfare Association(MWA) is a non-profit organization that has been operating in Australia since 1992.
Merhamet MWA is part of a large Bosnian welfare organization in Sarajevo,Bosnia that has a one hundred year old history.Merhamet in Bosnia operates a welfare service; runs employment cooperatives; provides support for the elderly and runs an umber of public kitchens.Merhamet in Bosnia has a long standing relations with the world-wide humanitarian organisations.Main purpose of Merhamet MWA in Australia is the provision of humanitarian aid and assistance. During the war in Bosnia, MWA received government funding to assist with settlement of Bosnian refugees and their integration in Australian society.In recent times it was also involved in collection of donations for the families affected by flooding and subsequent homelessness.Merhamet MWA has participated in a world- wide Qurban action for over twenty years, in cooperation with Merhamet in Bosnia. It continues to provide the Bosnian community, as well as other communities in Australia, with an
opportunity to send quality Qurban meat to the needy in Bosnia and other devastated areas.This year, Merhamet MWA will extended the Qurban action to include provision of humanitarian aid to Refugees and displaced persons affected by the current conflicts in Syria and Palestine.
