Features

* Chargers series SPRINTERcar are rectifier devices for charging starting

lead acid batteries, which meet softy and EMC requirments of the Euro-

pen Standards. They are produced according to Quality System ISO 9001.

* Charges series SPRINTERcar are designed for exploitation charging of

opened and "free service" batteries /according IEC and DIN standards/

which are used in cars, delivery vans, tracks and agricultural tractors,

with 12 V or 24 V as well 6 V voltage installation.

* Chargers series SPRINTERcar cannot be used for charging full "free

service" batteries /e.g. gelones ones/, for long-lasting conservation char-

ging without supervising and for buffer operation.

* Charging process with decreasing current method i.e. according to DIN

41774 standard with "W" characteristic. During charging process charg-

ing current decreasses and battery voltage increases automatically.

Decreasing of charging current from 1.0xI to 0.25xI /where: I - rated

charger current/ causes increasing of battery voltage from 2 V/cell to

2.65 V/cell.

* A single-phase 230V, 50-60 Hz supply.

* Power supply circuit is protected by the delay fuse.

* Protected from output cables short-circuits, missconnection and charging

the battery with too high capacity.

* SPRINTERcar 1225 plus and -2425 have charging voltage range switch

and SPRINTERcar 2425 has additionally thermal protecion circuit.

* Chargers series SPRINTERcar are II protection class devices. They have

double and reinforced insulation of electrically 'hot" parts.

* The green lamp above "MAX-MIN" the switch light on.

* Set the buttons of the "MAX-MIN" switch in such positions, in order that

charging current will have the value calculated from the equation: I=0.25xC

/for example 25 A for the battery with capacity of 100 Ah/. Charging current

value is shown by the charging current indicator .

* During charging process the charging current decreases and indicator

needle moves towards zero - it means, that charging process proceeds

properly and proves about good condition of the battery.

* When the battery was connected properly and indicator does not swing,

the cause can be found in item "Trouble Shooting Guide".

* During battery charging process you should pay attention to elektrolyte

temperature, if it icreases above 45 C, you have to stop charging process.

* Battery can be recognized as charged if:

- during the two last hours of charging process there is intessive battery

"gassing"and the indicator needle is near zero

- specific gravity of elektrolyte reaches the value of 1.28 g/cm

* After full battery charging, first you should remove the mains plug from

the mains socket and then disconnect crocodiles of the output cable

from battery poles /firstly you should disconnect the crocodile with the

same polarization as "ground" of the car/.
