HISTORY

1947 Established under the name of Everett Steamship Corp. S/A Korea Branch as a pioneering

American Shipping Company for attendance of most of foreign vessels at Korean ports as

well as own fleet

1981. 4. 20 Taken over all rights and asserts from Everett Steamship Corp. S/A Korea Branch and

established Eastern Shipping Co., Ltd., representing Scandutch, Nedlloyd Lines., Mammoet

Shipping., Trikora Lloyd., Everett Orient Line. and etc.

1991. 12 Established a joint ventured agency company with Nedlloyd Lines. after the disorganization of

Scandutch Consortiums at the end of 1991 with 20 years of successful trade, under the name

of Nedlloyd Lines Korea Co., Ltd., which performed it’s operation until 1997 when Nedlloyd

Lines. and P&O Container Lines. were integrated.

1992. 1 Launched separate organization and offices under the name of Eastern Shipping Co., Ltd., as

a sole successor, when afore-mentioned Nedlloyd Lines Korea Co., Ltd. was established and

since then, have been rendering tramper agency service for all kind of vessels actively with

freight forwarding and other associated business, such as : the correspondent for The Japan

Ship Owner’s Mutual Protection & Indemnity Association, The Sompo Japan Insurance Inc.,

and Canadian National Railways and gradually expanding business capacity.


We provide competent service to a wide range of vessels including bulk carriers,

tankers, cruise vessels, car carriers & etc for all calling purpose, such as cargo

operation, bunkering, delivery, transit call and etc. with the best protection of our
