The 4th LBIS will be held in Shenzhen on May 6-9, 2019. The conference is hosted by the LBIS committee, co-organized by Graduate School at Shenzhen, Tsinghua University and Shenzhen JITE New
Energy Technology Co., Ltd., and sponsored by Industry-University-Institute Cooperation Innovation
Alliance for Advanced Battery and Materials.
This 3-day Summit has been organized with the vision of bringing together for the world’s premier
science and technology leaders in the fields of energy storage devices. Specifically, Li-ion batteries and
the technologies beyond Li-ion (Solid State Batteries, Li/Air, Li/S, Fuel Cell, etc.), as well as EDV,
CE and ESS applications. There will be focused discussions on materials, designs, processes.
Day 4: Special lectures with detailed discussions on critical and important topics from J. Dahn, John
Zhang, T. Ohzuku/M. Yoshio, JM. Tarascon, S. Visco.
Goals of the Summit: Discuss challenges and demonstrate progress of higher energy density, lower
cost and safer energy systems (HLSS) for EDV/ESS/CE applications.

1. Please submit 150-300 words abstract in English by email before March 31.
2. Please prepare the poster according to the following requirements:
A. The poster should be informative and concise;
B. Poster size should refer to the international standard: 90 cm (Wide) × 120 cm (Height), the
layout of the top and bottom margins is 25mm
C. Please print out the poster by yourself. These posters will be pasted up at the time of your

Shenzhen Baoan International Airport Graduate School at Shenzhen, Tsinghua University.

Graduate School at Shenzhen, Tsinghua University.
(1) Taxi: roughly ¥75

(2) Subway: the suggested route is Line 11→ Line5→Line 7.

(1) Take 30 min ferry directly to Shenzhen
When you arrived at Hong Kong airport, please do not go through the immigration procedure as well as
not reclaim your baggage. Instead, it is better to take 30 min ferry directly to Shenzhen (arriving at
Shekou Port of mainland China). Please proceed to the ferry ticketing counter at Transfer Area E2 of
Hong Kong airport after your arrival. You can then go through the immigration procedure of China and
reclaim your baggage at Shekou Port.

(2) Take subway to Futian/Luohu Port
After going through the immigration procedure at the Hong Kong airport, please go straight to the
subway station and take the subway directly to Futian (Lok Ma Chau station) or Luohu (Lo Wu station)
Port (transfer to Tsuen Wan Line at Lai King station, then to Kwun Tong Line at Prince Edward
station, and finally to East Rail Line at Kowloon Tong station), you can then go through the
immigration procedure at these 2 ports.
4. Take bus to Shenzhen Bay Port
After going through the immigration procedure, please be reminded to buy coach/bus tickets for
Shenzhen Bay Port at the Coach Station located in Terminal 2. Please refer to the tables for details of
the four service providers.
You can take a taxi to Building C-II, Graduate School at Shenzhen, Tsinghua University. You can
show the Chinese address (清华大学深圳研究生院 C-II 楼) to the taxi driver.
