The Mother Goose shoe house is one of the swaps that I made for convention this year, from the ‘There was an old woman who lived in a shoe…” rhyme.

I thought it was pretty cute and then I started thinking of all the other things that I could make out of my shoe template!

I have put together a mini tutorial (mini because there are not pictures for every step like usual) for those of you who couldn’t be there to swap with me or want to make the different versions of the card! I have come up with four different cards that you can make from the same template! Here they are! If you change them around send me a picture, I would love

to see what you come up with!

Mother Goose Shoe Supply List:

Inks: Marina Mist (pad) Cardstock: Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight Accessories: 1/8” Daffodil Delight ribbon, ½” circle punch, Sponges, Two-way Glue pen, Tombow

Adhesive glue, Dimensionals, Crop-a-Dile, Scissors Non- SU: pencil

Detailed Instructions:

1. Cut out two Marina Mist shoes using the template. Cut two soles out of Crumb Cake cardstock as well as one of the roof shape.

2. You can shade the edges of the front shoe using your sponge and Marina Mist ink. Using Tombow

Adhesive glue the roof onto the top of the front shoe like shown. You can glue the soles onto both shoes on the inside of the card. Then put glue on the back part of the roof and attach it to the back shoe.

3. This will make the shoe card open from the top and stand on the soles of the shoes.

4. Now punch out three Crumb cake ½” circles and using your two-way glue pen stick them on the front of

the card. You can use your crop-a-Dile to punch the holes in the center for the shoelaces. 5. Tie a bow on one end of a 9” piece of 1/8” wide Daffodil Delight ribbon. You are going to lace this into

the shoe from front to back.

6. Wrap it around and lace through the other two holes. Glue the bow and the other end of the ribbon on the inside of the card with Tombow.

7. Now for the windows and door you are going to cut them out of cardstock. 8. Windows: crumb cake - 1 3/8” x ¾”, Daffodil delight – 11/16” square. I drew the shutters on with a pencil

and put them on with Dimensionals. Door: crumb cake – 1 3/8” x 1 5/8”, Cherry cobbler – 1 1/8” x 1 ½”, Daffodil Delight – 5/8” x 7/8”. I drew the knob on with a marker and put the door on with Dimensionals. You are finished!

Hiking Boot Supply List:

Inks: Soft Suede (pad and marker) Cardstock: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake Accessories: Sponges, Two-way Glue pen, Tombow glue, Dimensionals, Crop-a-Dile, ¼”

Grosgrain Artichoke ribbon, scissors Detailed Instructions:

1. Cut your Soft Suede cardstock to 4 ¼” x 8 ½” and fold it in half. Cut out the shoe template with the top of the shoe on the fold in the paper so it will open from the top. You can use Soft Suede ink and a sponge to darken the edges and give it a worn look.

2. Punch out three ½” circles out of Crumb Cake cardstock and put them on with one full Dimensional in the center of each one. Use the Crop-a-Dile to punch the holes in the center.

3. Cut two of the shoe sole shapes out of Crumb Cake cardstock and using Tombow you can glue these on the

backs of the front and back of the card. 4. You can use the Soft Suede marker to draw stitch marks and use ¼” grosgrain ribbon for the shoe laces.

You will need about 10”-12” of ribbon. Tie a bow on one end and then lace it into the shoe from the front to back starting at the top hole. You can glue the bow and inside end down with Tombow to keep it in place. You are finished!

Ice Skate Supply List:

Inks: Pretty in Pink (pad and marker) Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Whisper White, Silver Accessories: Sponges, Two-way Glue pen, Tombow glue, Dimensionals, Crop-a-Dile, ¼”

Grosgrain white ribbon, scissors Detailed Instructions:

1. Cut your Blushing Bride cardstock to 4 ¼” x 8 ½” and fold it in half. Cut out the shoe template with the top of the shoe down a little bit from the fold in the paper so it will open from the top. This makes it a little longer more like an ice skate. I used Pretty in Pink ink and a sponge to darken the edges and give it a worn look.

2. Punch out four - ½” circles out of Whisper White cardstock and put them on with the two-way glue pen.

Use the Crop-a-Dile to punch the holes in the center. You can also cut two blades for the ice skate out of silver paper and attach those to the backs of the front and back of the card with Tombow adhesive.

3. You can use ¼” grosgrain white ribbon for the shoe laces. You will need about 14”-16” of it. Tie a bow on

one end and then lace it into the shoe from the front to back starting at the top hole. You can glue the bow and inside end down with Tombow to keep it in place.

4. You can use the Pretty in Pink marker to draw stitch marks down the back of the skate to add some detail.

You are finished!
