5. Presented an Academic Paper in the International Union of Anthropology and Ethnology Conference-2014, Chiba city, Japan in the topic “Performance as mediation” an impeccant dancer between the Belief and the Community

6. Presented a paper in the International society for Theatre Research, Centre for media and Cultural studies, Central University of Rajasthan, Kishangard, Rajasthan on the topic “Forbidden dance: A Dancers narrative of her Life” on 11th Jan 2014.

9. Worked as an Assistant facilitator, for Six days in a Choreo-lab for the conference conducted by the World Dance Alliance on September 2009.

10. Had performed as one among twenty dancers on a theme named ‘Lotus path’ in Osaka, Japan during mid September to Mid October 2008. It is a part of the cultural exchange from the Osaka in the World Committee, Japan and represented India, its culture through a thematic dance program.

RELATED EXPERIENCE

1. A PhD researcher in the project named “Gendered Citizenship” by UKERI-UGC, a collaborative project with University of Warwick, U.K and Jawaharlal Nehru University, India [2014 -2016]

2. Had undergone Fieldwork to a village named Viralimalai in the district of Pudukkottai in Tamil Nadu in search of the Sadir dance and interviewed a Sadir dancer on December 2013 and again on September 2014 and December 2014 with extensive documentation on Sadir dance.

3. Fieldwork in the town named Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, in September 2013, in order to understand the performances of the Deities and the politics involved in the KulluDushera.

4. Fieldwork in a town named Virudhunager, Tamil Nadu in April 2013, during their annual PanguniPongal festival in order to understand the relation of the body and rituals performed including the body piercing, fire pot carrying and the trance dance movements.

5. Field work in a town named Palani, Tamil Nadu during the annual festival named ‘Thai Pusam’ in January 2013 in order to understand the movement forms and techniques of the Kavadiattam and the Trance movement forms

6. Fieldwork in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, in September 2012, in order to understand the performances of the Deities and the politics involved in the Kullu Dushera.

4. Had learnt Contemporary Dance form the Sadhya - A Unit of Performing Arts, Shivalik, New Delhi - 110017, from 2008 to 2009.

5. Had been an active sports person and have performed in various cultural festivals from school and college. 6. Had been actively involved in learning Martial Arts for about a period of four years.
