Somos fabricantes de tejidos técnicos especializados en la protec-ción solar y estamos integrados verticalmente, controlando todos los procesos de fabricación: desde la hilatura hasta el acabado. Esto nos permite controlar y cuidar la calidad de nuestros tejidos. No estamos deslocalizados como muchas otras empresas del sector, nuestros teji-dos para la protección solar están fabricados en España.

La innovación y la modernidad precisan de una regulación de los distin-tos sectores industriales en favor de la fi abilidad de los productos. Es por ello que, a partir del año 2006, se establece una normativa europea que afecta a todos los componentes del toldo, incluyendo los tejidos de protección solar: la norma UNE EN 13561 (marcado CE).

Nuestros tejidos, en un afán por mejorar, cumplen con dicha normativa, y con el resto de normativas nacionales de los diferentes países a los que exportamos; este hecho refuerza nuestra apuesta por la calidad y el buen servicio que ofrecemos a nuestros clientes. El control de cali-dad se realiza bajo la rigurosa aplicación de la normativa UNE EN ISO 9001:2005. En 1996 Citel obtiene, manteniendo e incorporándolo a to-das las empresas del grupo, el Certifi cado ISO 9001. Esta certifi cación otorga a la empresa un reconocimiento de calidad y seguridad.

We manufacture specialized technical fabrics for solar protection and we are vertically integrated, which allows us to control all stages of the manufacturing process, from spinning to fi nishing. Also, this enables us to control and ensure the highest quality of our fabrics. We are not delocalised like many other companies in our sector. Our solar protection fabrics are manufactured in Spain.

At Citel, with a young and innovative management team, we are com-mitted to protecting the environment, and so we measure environmental impact in order to minimize it. Some of the measures include: managing and reusing water for textile fi nishes, recycling systems for raw materials, and investing in reducing the fumes emissions, amongst others.

Our fabrics are manufactured to achieve an unbeatable quality, resistance and durability. Every item manufactured is meticulously analysed to ensure that it meets the highest quality standards that our clients expect. This allows us to successfully export our products to more than 50 countries, obtaining distributors’ loyalty and ensuring that our fabrics are available in the majority of the developed world.

Innovation and modernity are in need of regulation from different indus-trial sectors to ensure product reliability. It is for this reason that, since 2006, there is an European standard that regulates all the components of the awning, including solar protection fabrics: UNE-EN 13561 (CE mark).

In line with our continuous efforts to improve, our fabrics comply with this standard, as well as with the different national regulations in force in the countries to which we export. This reinforces our position on the quality and high level of service that we offer our clients. Quality controls are carried out in strict compliance with the UNE-EN ISO 9001:2005 standard. In 1996, Citel obtained ISO 9001 Certifi cation, which has since then been maintained and also extended to the rest of the companies within our group. This certifi cation grants our company the recognition for excellent quality and safety standards.

Citel’s vertical manufacturing process allows us to control the quality of our products in our own facili-ties, from the fi bres to the fi nished fabrics.

Before spinning begins, we ensure that the fi bre meets all warranty requirements in order to manufac-ture a high quality thread, which is the key to the fabric. All of our raw materials undergo the strictest quality control testing in our laboratory.

During the turning process, tests are made to avoid any issues in the arrangement of the threads, as designed. The fabrics are continually revised at the mills to ensure that they comply with all user needs.

In the fi nishing & fi nal inspection process, we use cutting-edge technology to ensure that the fabric quality has the same properties and complies with the required specifi cations from the fi rst metre to the last.

The fi nal visual inspection, performed on all fabrics on both sides, ensures that our clients receive a fabric free of any defects.

The data collected throughout the manufacturing process and the fi nal quality controls allow us to make constant improvements across all of our range.

El proceso vertical de fabricación de Citel nos permite controlar la calidad de nuestros productos desde la fi bra hasta el tejido acabado en nuestras instalaciones.

Antes de empezar a hilar se comprueba que la fi bra cumpla con los requisitos de garantía para poder fabricar un hilo de máxima calidad, que será la clave del tejido. Todas nuestras materias primas pasan por un severo control de calidad en nuestro laboratorio.

Durante el proceso de urdido se realizan controles para evitar errores en la disposición de hilos dise-ñada. En los telares se revisan continuamente los tejidos para controlar que cumplan al máximo las necesidades del usuario.

En el proceso de acabado se utilizan tecnologías de última generación para garantizar que desde el pri-mer metro hasta el último, tenga las mismas propiedades y cumplan con las especifi caciones exigidas.

La inspección visual fi nal, que se realiza sobre todos los tejidos por las dos caras, asegura que nuestro cliente recibirá un tejido sin defectos.

El registro de los datos extraídos durante todo el proceso y los controles fi nales nos permite seguir aplicando la mejora continua en toda nuestra gama.

Process, quality and warranty

Por su pesoLos tejidos Docril® tienen un peso de 295 gr/m2, el equilibrio perfecto entre la consistencia necesaria para que el tejido tenga ‘cuerpo’ y que no sea demasiado pesado para asegurar el buen funcionamiento de los herrajes del toldo.

Por su construcciónLa cantidad de hilos que hay en un m2, en sentido longitudinal y transversal, le confi eren a nuestros tejidos Docril® una estructura muy compacta, única en el mercado, que minimiza los agujeros por los que pasa el sol y los rayos UV.

Por su composición 100% acrílico tintado en masaColor intrínseco y persistente. Los tejidos Docril® están fabricados con fi bra acrílica tintada a la masa. El proceso de tintado a la masa incorpo-ra los pigmentos dentro de la molécula de la fi bra, creando enlaces muy superiores a los que se consiguen tintando el hilo o el tejido. Los tejidos resultan así poco vulnerables a los efectos de los rayos UV y podemos garantizar durante años la persistencia y brillo de los colores.

For its solution-dyed 100% acrylic compositionIntrinsic and long lasting colours. Docril® fabrics are manufactured with solution-dyed acrylic fi bres. The solution-dyeing process incorporates the pigments into the molecules of the fi bre, creating stronger bonds than would be achieved by dyeing the thread or the fabric. This means that the fabrics have very low vulnerability to the effects of UV rays, and we can guarantee the brightness and colour fastening for many years.

Por su repelencia al aguaNuestros tejidos están diseñados para obtener valores máximos en los Spray Test, unos ensayos que se realizan para determinar la resistencia de los tejidos al mojado superfi cial en una escala de 0 a 100. Los tejidos Docril® obtienen la máxima valoración (100) gracias a su excelente capacidad hidrófuga (repelencia al agua).

Por su resistencia a la penetración de aguaLos tejidos Docril® tienen una resistencia de 35 cm de columna de agua, que es la cantidad de agua que pueden soportar acumulada en sentido vertical antes no empiece el tejido a fi ltrar y a gotear.

Por su repelencia al aceiteLos tejidos Docril® están tratados para repeler las manchas de pro-ductos aceitosos/oleosos, consiguiendo que las salpicaduras, man-chas secas y vertidos puedan limpiarse fácilmente con un paño limpio o un cepillo. La escala ofi cial de clasifi cación del ensayo de repelencia al aceite (Oil Test) es de nota 3 a nota 6, siendo ésta última la más alta y la que obtienen nuestros tejidos Docril®.

El acabado Safe & CleanProporciona al tejido la propiedad de ser autolimpiantes, facilitando su mantenimiento y limpieza, gracias a la combinación de un Oil Test de 6 (consiguiendo que las manchas líquidas formen gotas) y un Spray Test de 100 (el agua corre fácilmente por encima del tejido).

For its water-repellent propertiesOur fabrics are studied and designed to achieve the highest values possible in Spray Tests, which are performed to calculate the resistance of fabrics to surface moisture. These tests score are measured between 0 and 100, and 100 being the result of Docril® fabrics, achieving an excellent water repellent capability.

For its resistance to water penetration.Docril® fabrics have a resistance to a water column of up to 35cm, which is the volume of accumulated water that the fabric can support vertically before it begins to fi lter and drip through the fabric.

For its oil-repellent propertiesDocril® fabrics are treated to resist staining from oil-based products, ensuring that splashes, dry stains and spills can be easily cleaned with a dry cloth, and dry stains can be brushed off easily. The offi cial rating for the Oil Test is from a grade 3 to a grade 6, the latter being the highest and which is achieved by our Docril® fabrics.

The Safe & Clean fi nish Provides our Docril® fabrics with self-cleaning properties, facilitating their cleaning and maintenance, thanks to the combination of an Oil Test grade of 6 (meaning that liquid stains form droplets) and a Spray Test score of 100 (water runs easily over the surface of the fabric).

Por su protección UVLa disminución del efecto protector de la capa de ozono hace que la protección solar se vuelva cada vez más importante. Nuestros tejidos Docril® están certifi cados según Normativa Europea UV STANDARD 801 con el valor máximo de 80.

For its UV protectionThe reduction in the protective effect of the ozone layer means that solar protection is increasingly more important. Indeed, our eyes and skin are very sensitive to the energy-rich radiation in the ultraviolet (UV) wavelength. Even in cloudy weather, UV protection is essential as, even though the clouds block the sunlight, they block very few UV rays. Our Docril® fabrics are certifi ed with the maximum 80 rating according to the European UV STANDARD 801.

For its excellent performance and durability outdoorsAs they are in compliance with the fabric section of the very demanding European Standard (EN 13561), the combination of materials which form the awning has obtained the CE mark, meaning that Docril® fabrics and our range of solar protection systems are suitable for outdoor use. The main requirements to obtain this certifi cation are:

Tensile strengthThe maximum tension that the fabric can support, before it begins to stretch and break at the extremities.

Tear strengthThe resistance of the fabric to the spreading of a tear from an initial cut.

Dimensional StabilityDocril® fabrics do not become misshapen due to temperature changes, nor as a result of rolling and unrolling during use.

Colour fastness outdoorsThe colours of Docril® fabrics come from solution-dyed fi bres, guaran-teeing an intrinsic and long lasting colour which, according to current standards, is categorised as a 7-8 on the Blue Scale.

Por su compromiso con el medio ambienteEn los últimos años, con la estrecha colaboración de nuestros pro-veedores de materias primas, hemos reducido la cantidad de PFC (Compuestos PerFluorados) en los tejidos a valores inapreciables.

Actualmente se ha abierto un debate sobre los riesgos para el en-torno que representa la utilización fl ourocarbonos C8 o C6. En Citel, gracias a nuestra inquietud para proteger el medio ambiente, hemos decidido eliminar cualquier riesgo. Para ello, desde principios del 2012, hemos reducido la cantidad de PFOA (ácido perfl uoroctanico) por de-bajo de 20 ppb, una cantidad prácticamente inapreciable.

Debido a nuestro compromiso con nuestros usuarios y el medio ambiente continuamos investigando nuevos productos para poder eliminar defi nitivamente los PFOA de nuestros tejidos.

For its commitment to the environment. Over recent years, in close collaboration with our suppliers of raw materials, at Citel we have reduced the volume of PFCs (perfl uoro-carbons) in our fabrics to negligible amounts.

There is an on-going debate as to whether C6 or C8 Fluorocarbons should be used. When you are purchasing a Citel/Docril® fabric, this debate is irrevelant. Since the beginning of 2012, as our desire to protect the environment, we have reduced the volume of PFOAs (perfl uorooctanoic acids) in our standard fabrics to below 20 ppb, wich is a negligible amount.

Thanks to our commitment to our users and the environment, we are continually researching new products in order to defi nitively eliminate PFOAs from our fabrics.

La protección solar es el conjunto de sistemas que sirven para con-trolar la cantidad de luz y energía del sol que inciden en un edifi cio.

Este control permite ahorrar energía en los servicios fundamentales del edifi cio, como por ejemplo:

Reducción de la cantidad de energía necesaria para calefacción o refrigeración en el interior del edifi cio

Reducción de la cantidad de energía necesaria para la iluminación, optimizando la iluminación natural

Reducción de las emisiones de CO2

(y de la huella de carbono)

De la misma manera, este control visual y térmico aumenta el confort en el interior del edifi cio, lo que repercute en un aumento de la pro-ductividad en las actividades que en él se realicen.

Solar protection is defi ned as the combination of systems which are used to control the volume of light and energy from the sun in a building.

Controlling solar light and energy benefi ts energy savings in terms of:

Reducing the amount of energy needed for heating or cooling the inside of the building

Reducing the amount of energy needed for lighting, by optimising natural light

Reducing CO2 emissions(and reduces the impact caused by the building’s carbon footprint)

In the same way, this visual and thermal control favours comfort inside the building, providing and boosting the productivity of those inside.

Radiación directa - Direct radiation:Es la que no ha sido absorbida ni refl ejada por la atmosfera.

Radiation which has been neither absorbed nor refl ected by the Earth’s at-mosphere.

Radiación difusa - Diffuse radiation:Es la que ha sido absorbida por la atmosfera y emitida en todas las direcciones.

Radiation which has been is absorbed by the atmosphere and emitted in all directions.

Radiación refl ejada - Refl ected radiation:Procede de la refl exión en el suelo de la radiación directa y difusa.

Radiation which has been is refl ected from the ground from direct and diffuse radiation.

Ts (transmisión de la radiación solar - transmission of solar radiation):Cuantifi ca la cantidad de radiación que atraviesa un tejido, un porcentaje bajo indica una reducción de la energía solar por parte del tejido.

Quantifi es the volume of radiation which passes through a fabric. A low percentage indicates a reduction of solar energy by the fabric.

Rs (refl exión de la radiación solar - refl ection of solar radiation):Cuantifi ca la cantidad de radiación que refl eja un tejido, un porcentaje elevado indica una reducción de la energía solar por parte del tejido.

Quantifi es the volume of radiation refl ected by a fabric. A high percentage indicates a reduction of solar energy by the fabric.

La luz natural tiene una infl uencia signifi cativa y positiva en la salud de las personas, cuando éstas se encuentran dentro de los edifi cios y existe un control adaptativo de la luz del día, aumenta su rendimiento.

Para determinar el confort visual que ofrecen las lonas acrílicas se utilizan las clasifi caciones que defi ne la Norma EN14500:

Control del deslumbramientoEs la capacidad de la lona para controlar el nivel de iluminación para reducir los contrastes lumínicos.

Uso de la luz del díaEs la capacidad de reducir el periodo de tiempo durante el cual se requiere luz artifi cial y de optimizar la luz diurna disponible.

Natural light has a signifi cant and positive infl uence on people’s health. When people are inside a building where there is adaptive control of daylight, their performance is boosted.

To determine the visual comfort offered by acrylic canvases, the ratings as defi ned by the EN14500 standard, and are used with the regard to:

Las personas están confortables térmicamente cuando no experimen-tan sensación de calor ni de frío, es decir, cuando las condiciones de temperatura, humedad y movimientos del aire son favorables a la ac-tividad que desarrollan. En recintos interiores, este confort viene dado por la estructura del edifi cio y por las ventanas y puertas acristaladas. Es por ello que los sistemas de protección solar actúan efi cientemente para regular las temperaturas ambientales de las estancias.

Para determinar el confort térmico que ofrecen las lonas acrílicas se utilizan las clasifi caciones que defi ne la Norma EN14500:

Factor solar (gtot) Es la relación entre la energía solar que incide desde el exterior de una ventana y la que se transmite al interior de la habitación.

People are thermally comfortable when they do not feel hot or cold, that is, when the temperature, humidity and air currents are favourable to the activity being performed. When these activities are taking place indoors, this comfort comes from the structure of the building and the openings to the outdoors (through windows and glass doors). It is for this reason that solar protection systems perform effi ciently to control environmental temperatures indoors.

La garantía cubre solamente una eventual pérdida anormal de la resistencia o el color de los tejidos ante una exposición normal a los efectos del sol, la salinidad y los agentes atmosféricos generales.

La garantía cubre exclusivamente el tejido Docril®. La garantía no cubre ningún coste adicional de fabricación o instalación (que el instalador o el minorista puedan requerir). Cualquier tratamiento adi-cional que un tercero realice al tejido invalida la garantía.

La garantía no cubre daños que se deban a causas ajenas a nuestro control, acciones mecánicas, accidentes, productos químicos abrasi-vos, abuso, negligencia y/o acciones fraudulentas. La garantía no es válida en caso de uso y/o instalación indebidos, y puede invalidarse también si no se han seguido correctamente las instrucciones de limpieza y mantenimiento.

Docril® puede formar parte de un producto fi nal, como un toldo o un cojín. La garantía debe ejercerse ante el minorista o el instala-dor, según dónde se haya adquirido el producto. La garantía no es efectiva hasta que todas las cuentas y facturas se hayan liquidado completamente.

Nuestra responsabilidad queda limitada de forma expresa a esta ga-rantía. Nos reservamos el derecho a inspeccionar el tejido objeto de la reclamación y a solicitar un justifi cante de compra. El uso de la garantía no implica prórroga alguna; prevalecerá la fecha original de compra. Las reclamaciones deben dirigirse por correo certifi cado a Citel, S.L., Bosch i Cardellach, 29; 08202 Sabadell (Barcelona), España.

La garantía del tejido Docril® para aplicación como PROTECCIÓN SO-LAR - TOLDOS es de 10 años.

The warranty only covers a possible abnormal loss of resistance or colour of the fabrics, under normal exposure to sunlight, salinity and general atmospheric agents.

The warranty exclusively covers Docril® fabrics. The warranty does not cover any additional manufacturing or installation costs (that the installer or retailer may require). Any additional treatment carried out by third parties on the fabric will invalidate the warranty.

The warranty does not cover any damages due to causes beyond our control, mechanical actions, accidents, abrasive chemical products, abuse, negligence and/or fraudulent actions. The warranty shall become invalid in the event of misuse and/or incorrect installation, and may also be invalidated if the cleaning and maintenance instructions have not been correctly followed.

Docril® fabrics may form part of a fi nal product, such as an awning or a cushion. The warranty must be enforced through the retailer or the installer, depending the place of purchase of the product. The warranty does not come into effect until all accounts and invoices have been fully paid.

Our liability is expressly limited to the extent of this warranty. We reserve the right to inspect any fabric subject to a claim, and to re-quest a proof of purchase. Use of the warranty does not imply any extension thereof; the original date of purchase shall prevail. Instrucciones de limpieza y mantenimiento Cleaning and maintenance instructions

Sugerimos que limpie su tejido Docril® con un cepillo de cerdas suaves y aclare con agua. Para manchas localizadas, limpie con detergente neutro mezclado con agua templada (máximo 38 ºC / 100 ºF) y aclare con agua.

En toldos es muy importante dejar secar el tejido completamente antes de plegar el mismo. En caso de que el toldo deba plegarse con el tejido todavía húmedo, éste puede secarse con aire (en ningún caso caliente), aunque por sus características técnicas el tejido se seca rápidamente.

Nuestros tejidos Docril® pueden plancharse en seco (a menos de 66 ºC / 150 ºF) con el programa sintético. No planchar con vapor.

Dado que no es posible explicar cómo tratar todas las tipos de manchas en este documento, si necesita instrucciones o ayuda adicional por favor contacte con nosotros en [email protected] y esta-remos encantados de informarle.

We recommend cleaning your Docril® fabric with a soft-bristled brush, and rinsing with water. For localised stains, clean with a neutral detergent mixed in lukewarm water (maximum 38 ºC /100 ºF) and rinse with water.

When used in awnings, it is very important to allow the fabric to dry completely before folding it. Should it be necessary to fold the awning while the fabric is still damp, it can be dried with air (under no circumstances should hot air be used), although the fabric dries out very quickly thanks to its technical characteristics.

Our Docril® fabrics can be dry ironed (below 66 ºC / 150 ºF) using the synthetics setting. Do not steam iron.

Los tejidos Docril® han sido diseñados estética y técnicamen- te bajo un control estricto para satisfacer las necesidades de nuestros clientes en cuanto a protección solar, aumento de la privacidad y ahorro energético.

Una vez la lona ha sido confeccionada para su instalación puede pre- sentar ciertas irregularidades visuales que no pueden considerarse elementos defectuosos del conjunto. Estas imperfecciones no con- llevan ninguna disminución de las propiedades intrínsecas de la lona, en cuanto a resistencias, ni repelencia al agua, ni protección solar.

Los efectos más comunes son:

Visiones de marcas a contraluz, debidas a la manipulación de la lona durante su confección e instalación, así como a los pliegues intrínsecos de la propia confección, en colores claros estas visiones se acentúan más.

Zonas adyacentes a costuras y/o soldaduras que presen- tan ciertas arrugas debidas a que el grueso del dobladillo ejerce una tensión adicional a la tela cuando está enro- llada, provocando pequeños alargamientos de la lona en estas zonas.

Visiones de pliegues, debidas al uso propio del toldo, ya que durante el proceso de abertura y cierre, el tejido puede estar sometido a cierto desplazamiento que con el uso se acen- túa produciendo estas visiones. Este efecto es conocido también como visión de “nido de abeja”. Es muy importante que el toldo sea debidamente enrollado cuan-do esté completamente seco, ya que la humedad puede aumentar esta visión, así mismo se evitará la formación de microorganis- mos en él causantes de malos olores.

Formación de micro-agujeros en las lonas confeccionadas en formato capota, ya que debido a su estructura en base a pliegues y a su acción continua de apertura y cierre, puede acabar provocando la formación de microagujeros en el acabado técnico y específi co de la lona.

Para mantener la lona acrílica con todas las propiedades intrínsecas de acabado (repelencia al agua) y minimizar los efectos expuestos, se recomienda siempre que la lona sea recogida en su estructura cuando esté completamente seca tras una lluvia o una condición atmosférica de mucha humedad o niebla. Así mismo es muy importante que el conjunto de la estructura tenga un ángulo adecuado para minimizar los efectos causados por la meteorología.

Docril® fabrics have been technically and aesthetically designed under strict quality control procedures to meet the needs of our customers in terms of solar protection, increased privacy and energy savings.

Once a canvas has been manufactured for installation, certain visual imperfections may appear; these cannot be considered as product defects. These imperfections do not produce any reduction in the inherent properties of the canvas, in terms of its resistance, water repellence or solar protection.

The most common effects are:

Some marks can be seen when the canvas is backlit; these are caused by the handling of the canvas during manufacture and installation, as well as to the folds performed as part of the manufacturing process. These marks are more visible in lighter colours.

Areas adjacent to stitching or soldering which display some creases due to the thickness of the hem exerting additional stress on the fabric when it is rolled-up, causing a slight stretching of the fabric in these areas.

Crease marks, due to the use of the awning itself, as while opening and closing the awning, the fabric can be subject to a certain shifting, which emphasises these creases through usage. This is also known as the “honeycomb effect”. It is very important that the awning is duly rolled up when it is completely dry, as humidity can increase the view of these creases. This will also prevent the proliferation of odour-producing microorganisms.

The formation of micro-holes in canvases manufactured in the shape of a hood, due to their creased-structure and continuous opening and closing, may result in the formation of micro-holes in the technical and specific finish of the canvas.

To maintain all the intrinsic properties of the finish (water repellence) and to minimise the effects of exposure to the ele- ments, it is recommended that the canvas is stored within its structure when it is fully dried after rainfall, or in foggy or highly humid conditions. Likewise, it is very important that the fittings of the structure are installed at a suitable angle to minimise the effects of weathering.
