SikafexPrimer 449

Overview: Sikaex Primer 449 is a specially formulated primer used to promotethe adhesion of Sarnal G459 Grid Strip ashing membrane to the gridadhesive. Sikaex Primer 449 must be used on all G459 Grid Strip ashinginstallations.

Composition: Sikaex Primer 449 is a clear, solvent-based primer. Consult with Material

Data Sheet for additional information.VOC Content: 670.7 g/L

Features: Sikaex Primer 449 dramatically improves the adhesion of G459 Grid Stripashing membrane to the grid adhesive. It is ready to use and easy to ap-ply to the back of the G459 Grid Strip ashing membrane prior to installa-tion.

Packaging: Sikaex Primer 449 is packaged in 16 uid oz (473 ml) cans (6 percase). A case weighs 7 lbs (3.2 kg). The shelf life is 6 months in original,unopened containers.

Installation: Shake or stir Sikaex Primer 449 before using. Prime the back of theG459 Grid Strip ashing membrane with a light coat of Sikaex Primer 449applied with a rag, brush or staining pad. Allow the primer to dry completely

prior to placing the primed grid strip into the grid adhesive. Drying time istypically 5 minutes or less. Do not allow primed surface to be contaminatedwith dust, dirt, or debris.

Apply Sikaex Primer 449 in temperatures 25F (-4C) and above. For besresults, condition primer to 65F (18C) to 80F (27C) before using. Storeprimer in a dry area between 40F (4C) and 80F (27C).

Protect Sikaex Primer 449 from moisture. Once container is opened, usecontents immediately. Do not use if primer begins to gel.

One 16 uid oz (473 ml) container will cover approximately 100 - 150 sf(9.3 - 13.9 m2) of G459 Grid Strip ashing membrane.
