The SSLVPN system is used to access the internal system of the company externally. If the ID and
password are disclosed, it may cause serious security mishap in the internal system (information leak and
hacking by an outsider, etc.)
1. The user should manage the issued account and may be held liable if an internal security
problem occurs due to careless management.
2. This system should be used outside the company when needed, and log out of the
SSLVPN after use must be ensured.(※ As a rule, one person owns only one SSLVPN user account.)
3. The employee with the VDI should connect via VDIVPN, not SSLVPN.
(※ SSLVPN connection is only allowed if the employee has applied for an exception via ITS.)

The SKI SSLVPN has different accounts and access methods for each user group. If a wrong user group is
selected, SSLVPN connection fails. The user group of the user’s SSLVPN ID should be verified before
connection.
1. 임직원 및 Global Staff(Employees)
: The full-time employee group of SK Innovation subsidiary companies (SKI, SKE, SKL, SKGC, SKTI, SKIPC, SKIET) and group
members may connect to the SSLVPN using their employee numbers and password. (The VDI user is required to fill out
the exception application form to use the SSLVPN.)
2. SK관계사 및 외부업체(Business Partners)
: The domestic partner user group of SK Innovation. The member may connect to the SSLVPN using a dedicated account,
not the employee number issued by SK Innovation. In addition to ID and password verification, ARS verification is required
additionally.
3. 해외사용자(Overseas User)
: The overseas partner group of SK Innovation. The member may connect to the SSLVPN using a dedicated account, not
the employee number issued by SK Innovation. (e.g., skpiOOOOO)
4. PIMS지원
: The Easydisk user group of SK Energy. Access is granted for the PC that has applied in advance. In addition to ID and
password verification, ARS verification is required additionally.

How to connect SSLVPN

1. Type the VPN URL(vpn.skinnovation.com)
in the internet web browser.
2. Choose User Group : 임직원 및 Global
Staff(Employees)
3. ID/Password: Input the SK employee
number and the password.
(AD account- used to log in to the PC)
4.Note.
- The VDI users cannot use SSLVPN and
must use VDIVPN
(SSLVPN connection is only allowed for the
user who has applied for parallel use)

1. Type the VPN URL(vpn.skinnovation.com)

3. ID/Password :

applying for a VPN ID.(e.g., skpi12345)
- Password: Type the initial
password(SK123456!)
(It has to be changed after first login)
4. ARS Authentication
- Phone Number: Enter the phone number
you provided when you applied for your
VPN ID account.(Domestic users only)
* The VPN account will be deleted if inactive for more
than three months.

How to connect SSLVPN
1. Type the VPN URL(vpn.skinnovation.com)
in the internet web browser.

User)

The SSLVPN connection program will be automatically installed when successfully logged into the SSLVPN.
How to install the SSLVPN program
1. Required SSLVPN Applications.
- Pulse Secure Application Launcher
- Pulse Secure Host Checker
- Pulse Secure Client
※ Pulse Secure Application Launcher will be
installed if the launcher is not installed.
2.Proceed by clicking “Always” or “Yes”
when checking the installation
program.

When the SSLVPN connection program is installed, normal connection may be checked in the following
ways.
How to check SSLVPN connection
1.Normal SSLVPN connection
- Check the Pulse Secure icon on the
task bar of the PC: A green arrow
indicates normal connection.
- Double click the Pulse Secure icon
to check the SSLVPN connection
status.
2.How to disconnect SSLVPN
- Right click the Pulse Secure icon
and click the “Disconnect SSLVPN”
menu.
- Check whether the green arrow on
the Pulse Secure icon has
disappeared.Click right button
on mouse

If the SSLVPN connection program does not work properly, uninstall the SSLVPN connection program
completely and reinstall.
How to delete and reinstall Pulse Secure Networks
1. Windows7: Control Panel > Programs and Features > Uninstall all Programs which names begin with the words “Pulse
Secure” or “Juniper Networks” (Uninstall)
Windows10: Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Uninstall all Programs which names begin with the words “Pulse
Secure” or “Juniper Networks” (Uninstall)
2. Access C:\Program Files (x86) and delete"Pulse Secure" and “Juniper Networks” folder
3. Access C:\Users\their user id\AppData\Local and delete"Pulse Secure" and “Juniper Networks” folder
4. Access C:\Users\their user id\AppData\Roaming and delete"Pulse Secure" and “Juniper Networks” folder
5. Restart PC
6. Access SSLVPN and install all program required

How to download the SSLVPN connection program manually
Downloading the SSLVPN connection program manually
: The installation program link for each OS version may be found
at the bottom of the SSLVPN connection page. Download and
execute the program that is compatible to the user OS version.

The problem to display the secondary user name
How to handle displayed window to enter the secondary user name
: This is displayed when the ARS verification is required from the user group(SK affiliates and business partners, PIMS
support) when connecting to the SSLVPN . If the SK Innovation SSLVPN does not support the function, click [Cancel] to
close the window and type the URL in the web browser to connect.

The SSLVPN password is valid for 90 days, and a warning message appears 7 days before expiration.
Password expiry date and change
: It does not indicate the expiration of the VPN account, but notifies that the password will expire after 7 days. When
connecting VPN after 7 days, the “Change password” window will appear automatically and the user is forced to change
the password.
* Be careful when storing and using the password in the browser because the current password is required when forcibly
changing the password.

If you need to reset the password for SSLVPN ID(not SAP), request an email in the below form.
How to request to reset password for SSLVPN
*Do not change any contents except for your information
*When SK received you request mail, the VPN Password will be initialized within 2 hours.
*Please notice that there might be no return mail to let you know the result.
*You can try to log on SK VPN with initialized Password (SK123456!) after 2 hours of your request.
