Danish Sculptor Society
Danish Sculptor Society was founded in 1905. Danish
Sculptor Society’s purpose is to join the Danish sculp-
tors in a professional organization and through this
as strongly as possible protect and develop Danish
sculptors interests, for instance through the imple-
mentation of exhibitions, print competitions and
talent management.
Danish Sculptor Society consists of approx. 90 active,
professional sculptors and is Denmark’s largest as-
sociation of sculptors.
The Royal Gardens provides the framework for Dan-
ish Sculptor Society’s international Sculpture Biennale
2012 with participation of 50 artists, including 25 from
Estonia, France, Holland, Sweden and Germany.
It is not the first time, the Danish Sculptor Society’s
Biennale takes place in these unique, historic settings
in the center of Copenhagen, but it is the first time
this has happened with the participation of so many
international artists.
The Royal Gardens is, throughout the summer, a
popular location for countless locals and tourists and
it is with great pleasure that Danish sculptor Society
hereby invites the audience to enjoy an exciting art
experience in interaction with the gardens beautiful
surroundings.

Dansk Billedhugger Samfund
Dansk Billedhugger Samfund blev stiftet i 1905. Dansk
Billedhugger Samfunds formål er at samle den danske
billedhuggerstand i en faglig organisation for her-
igennem så stærkt som muligt at værne om og udvikle
standens interesser bl.a. ved gennemførelse af udstil-
linger, udskrivning af konkurrencer og talentpleje.
Dansk Billedhugger Samfund består af ca. 90 aktive,
professionelle billedhuggere og er Danmarks største
sammenslutning af billedhuggere.
Kongens Have danner ramme om Dansk Billedhugger
Samfunds store internationale Skulptur Biennale 2012
med deltagelse af 50 kunstnere, heraf 25 fra Estland,
Frankrig, Holland, Sverige og Tyskland.
Det er ikke første gang, Dansk Billedhugger Sam-
fund afholder Biennale i disse enestående, historiske
omgivelser midt i centrum af København, men det
er første gang, det sker med deltagelse af så mange
internationale kunstnere.
Kongens Have er et populært opholdssted hele som-
meren igennem for utallige Københavnere og turister
og det er med stor glæde, at Dansk Billedhugger Sam-
fund hermed inviterer publikum til spændende kunst-
oplevelser i samspil med Havens smukke omgivelser.
