So and Mi Patterns C, F, G major – 4/4 time signature – quarter notes and eighth note pairs •Note: Print two copies – one blank, one with “So” and “Mi” written on each note - laminate •Preparation: Review “time signature” – review the rhythm “ta-ta-ta-ta” – review “double bar line” – review “measure” – review “staff” – also select a student to hold the cards (so you can play piano – or you can try to do both) – decide which key the students will sing in today and use the corresponding cards (F, G, or C majors) •Rhythm Level: Students chant the rhythm on syllables of your choice.
