In this assignment, we are divided a group consists of five members to work together for conducting this final assignment. The purpose of this assignment is to analyze, identify the concepts we had learnt during class and present our understanding through a video clip. For this assignment, we students are required to submit a video clip, which incorporating five concepts of social psychology from different chapters in the storyline to present our understanding of our chosen concept that we had learned in the class. Other than that, we are also required to write a report based on the short video and prepare a presentation of the video during class.
Our group of five are formed up by Alia Nisa, Amanda Chiong, Erica Lo, Hau Hui Yee and Jonathan Lim. After discussion, we started our short film which is named as “Thoughts of a Typical College Girl”. The storyline of this film basically is about the university life of a girl which has applied five different social psychology concepts in the film. The concepts that are indicated through the film are first impression, intrinsic motivation, stereotyping, bystander effect and lastly the liking concept.
Throughout this assignment, we get better understanding about the concepts taught in the class and also know ways to related the concepts in our daily life. Therefore, we tend to incorporate the concepts into our daily life in the film in order to convey the importance of social psychology in our life and how people react with others. Lastly, studying social psychology not only can enrich our understanding of ourselves while in the same time it also enrich our understanding of the world around us.

F I V E C O N C E P T S a. FIRST IMPRESSION
8
First impression is not deliberate. They are not formed by watching others’ actions. They may be instantaneous. Research finds that impressions are made after only 10 seconds! b. INTRINSIC MOTIVATION It is taking a certain action for the sake of enjoyment. It will leads us to be more fully engaged, greater curiosity and pleasure. c. STEREOTYPING A stereotype assumes that all members of a group share some common feature. Perseverance effect of stereotyping is once a schema is formed, it is hard to change. It may be difficult for people to “let go” of these types of schemas. d. BYSTANDER EFFECT Bystanders may feel evaluation apprehension, concern about what others expect of them and how others will evaluate their behavior. In addition, if others are present and not reacting it may seem to infer that others do not see the need to intervene. This process occurs when a bystander does not take action to help because other persons share the responsibility for intervening. e. LIKING We generally say "yes" to people we like and "no" to people we don’t.

C O N C L U S I O N
From this assignment, we have a better understanding on the concepts of Social Psychology and gain further understanding of ways the apply it into our real life. Besides, we realized that every single thing in our real life is connected and related to the Social Psychology concepts.
12
Throughout this assignment, we also learned more about video shooting
skills and technique, such as the oneshot video and first person view techniques that we had referred it from some popular music videos and also the videos posted by famous Youtubers. We also learned the ways to present video in a creative way, which we get the inspiration from the popular videos.
We also had a fun experience of shooting video session, which can practice
and improve our acting skills for our future assignment. We also realized that it is difficult to act naturally in front of camera and also gain experiences of being an actor or actress. Although we are facing all these problems of feeling nervous and awkward in the video shooting, but we had managed to solve all these problems and finish the shooting of our video with the cooperation among the group members.
As a conclusion, we had gained and learned a lot of knowledge and
experiences throughout the entire assignment. Instead of gaining further understanding on the theories of Social Psychology, we also indulge in the fun of the progress in filming the video.
