Welcome to Sojourn, which is the beginning of a long but fruitful

journey of your studies in Imperial! Prepare yourselves to make

many new friends, play lots of games, spend sleepless nights talking

with your OGs, and to have a really good time with us!

We would also like to welcome you to our Imperial College Singapore

Society family, and we hope that you will make friends with your

batch and your senior batches, starting right here from Sojourn!

Before we leave for UKtopia, I would like to introduce you to my in-

valuable Team Sojourn members. You may know many of them as

your OGLs, but they also have varying roles such as being your Game

Masters, photographers, and Ninjas who work hard behind the

scenes. Each and every one of them are essential to Sojourn, so do

give them a smile when you see them hard at work!

If you STILLLLLLL have not done so, please fill in your indemnity

form and bring it with you on Sojourn. If not, you’ll become your

OG’s specialised cheerleader as your friends take part in the games!

key information Sojourn 2015: Collide is our annual Imperial College Singapore

Society orientation camp, where you will meet new friends who will

prove invaluable as you embark on your journey to London!

Date: 14-16 August 2015

It will be a 3 Day 2 Night stay at Costa Sands Resort, Sentosa, and

there will be a whole lot of sun, sand, sea and fun!

Meet at 0900hrs @ the entrance to the Sentosa Boardwalk behind

Vivocity (near Tung Lok Restaurant). Don’t worry if you are wor-

ried that you will be lost! You can always drop a call to your friendly

OGLs!

Also, do wear a T-shirt of your OG’s colour!

the story The Great Queen of UKtopia, Queen Tham, is lonely. Having gained

inspiration from the Powerpuff Girls, she decides to create her very

own Powerpuff Friend. However, in order to create the Powerpuff

Girl, she needs to mix her potion of Chemical WQ with another po-

tion during the rare total solar eclipse.

The land of UKtopia consists of 6 main Tribes, and each of them pos-

sesses a mystical potion of their own. Queen Tham has organised a

tournament for these 6 Tribes to prove their superiority, and the

winner will have their potion used to create the Powerpuff Friend,

and they will also be allowed to stay in the Queen’s Tower of

UKtopia.

The Tribe leaders have called for members with strength, courage

and smarts. Which Tribe will prove their worth as the Great Tribe of

UKtopia, and get to stay in the Queen’s Tower? How will the Power-

puff Friend look like, and will Queen Tham’s plan succeed in the

first place? Or will the creation of the Powerpuff Friend have unin-

tended consequences that no one can fathom…

FAQs If I have other commitments during Sojourn, can I leave in the

middle of the camp?

Certainly. We understand that you may have to leave the camp for

a while for certain matters. Don’t forget to inform your OGLs, pref-

erably before the start of Sojourn. Let them know what time you

will be leaving, what time you will be coming back. And when you

are leaving, give them a heads up!

Why do I need to have $20 in my ez-link card?

On the first day, you will have to take the monorail into Sentosa,

and on the second day we will be having a Food Trail. This means

having to enter Sentosa again, as well as having to take the public

transport around Singapore!

Can I choose not to participate in certain activities?

Sure thing! If you are uncomfortable with any activities, feel free

to sit out and cheer your fellow OG-mates on from the side line.

That said, our activities are made to stretch you out of your com-

fort zone a little, so we urge everyone to join in the fun!

Where will I be throughout the camp?

Our camp will mainly be held in the area near Costa Sands Resort.

Thus we will be using the Sapphire Pavilion and Siloso Beach. On

the second day, we will also head out to mainland Singapore for our

food trail!
