学水彩画家骆克璜擅于在人们经常

忽视的地方发现美。克璜在高中时

期开始尝试水彩画，在此过程当中不断探

索自己独特的绘画风格。即使看起来平凡

与不起眼的角落，透过光影的呈现，克璜让

我们看见周围普通及不起眼事物中的美。

他的静物创作，如锁、轮胎和门把等颇受欢

迎。他的构图经常聚焦于创作的主体上。通

过各种细节和技巧，他的作品展现出水彩

画独特的美。

马来西亚创价学会（SGM）荣幸举办“魔幻

光影（三）：骆克璜第四回水彩个展”。骆克

璜曾分别于2014年和2016年在新加坡成

功举办“魔幻光影”和“魔幻光影（二）”两

场展览。今年的“魔幻光影（三）”，骆克璜

满怀兴奋地为马来西亚社众带来他自1993

年以来，在过去24年中创作的50幅作品。

骆克璜曾荣获多项国际殊荣，他擅长在水

彩画中展现多元的纹理表面。在“魔幻光影

（三）”展中，也呈现他崭新系列的静物作

品，如水果和餐具。此外，骆克璜还作了新

尝试，把以往他惯用为背景的褐色以及蓝

色，变成充满生气的翠绿。我们希望观众

们不要错过此难得的机会，前来观赏“魔

幻光影（三）”并沉醉在骆克璜以光和影所

打造的魔幻世界。

he self-taught watercolour painter, Lok Kerk Hwang discovers beauty in places

where others often neglect. Lok started experimenting with watercolour during his high school days and found his own unique painting techniques in the watercolour medium. Playing with light and shadow, he paints what may seem like inconspicuous corners and the mundane, to showcase the beauty in the ordinary things around us.

He is well-known for his still life creations, such as locks, tires and door handles. His compositions are often tightly focused on his subjects. No matter how many details are in the painting, or the effect and technique he uses, he is able to showcase the beauty of the watercolour medium in his works.

Soka Gakkai Malaysia (SGM) is pleased to present, ‘The Magic of Light III: 4h Solo

Watercolour Exhibition of Lok Kerk Hwang’. After holding two successful exhibitions in Singapore, i.e. The Magic of Light' and 'The Magic of Light II' in 2014 and 2016 respectively, Lok is excited to bring to the Malaysian public a selection of 50 artworks which he created over the past 24 years since 1993 in ‘The Magic of Light III’.

An internationally award-winning artist, Lok’s mastery in the creation of a diversity of textured surface in the watercolour medium is evident. In ‘The Magic of Light III’, he has also injected a fresh new series of still life like fruit and assorted tableware. Furthermore, the verdant backgrounds in his new works are a change from his usual browns and blues. We hope that viewers will take this opportunity to visit and be mesmerised by the liveliness of his subjects created by the magic of his light and skills in ‘The Magic of Light III’ exhibition.
