Most of participants outside Japan may fly from Tokyo Haneda (HND) or Tokyo Narita (NRT). There are many flights from Haneda (HND) to New Chitose (CTS) airport (a few flights per hour on average). The flight time is about one hour, 35 minutes.

Currency A currency exchange service is available at the front desk.  An ATM is available at a Seven-Eleven store in front of the hotel.  ATMs in Japan can sometimes be fickle for international bank cards and even if the machine says it accepts Cirrus or others, sometimes it does not.  If you want to be super safe, please take cash with you.

banks website, that you will be visiting Japan. Many US visitors who travel to Japan discover that they cannot

Transportation from downtown Sapporo to the symposium venue If you plan to go to the Rusutsu resort from downtown Sapporo, there is a complimentary shuttle bus service. It leaves at 8 am from a bus stop near the Sapporo station, and arrives at the hotel at 10 am. You need to book by 5 pm the day before your departure.
