own thermal absorbers, especially developed

or our specic glass roo tile, installation is

An ecient, attractive and smart solar

energy system

Combined with SolTechs award-winning design and

concept solution, we can now oer a solar energy solu-

tion that is both eective and elegant, SolTech Sigma,

the energy ecient and smart roo. The roo o a normal

single amily home, annually receives approximately ve

times more energy rom the sun than is being consumed

by the amily living in the house! With SolTech Sigma

you can benet rom that energy, save money and get a

beautiul new roo or your house at the same time!

Simple and ingenious

Instead o traditional roo tiles made rom concrete or

clay, we use specic SolTech tiles made o glass. Under-

neath the glass tiles, SolTechs specially developed liquid

based absorber modules that harvest the energy rom

the sun, are installed. The modules are interconnected

on the roo to orm a complete solar collector system.

Generated solar energy ends up in a specic storage tan

that is connected to the buildings central heating system.

This conguration enables us to use all the energy

the sun provides rst. When not sucient or the overall

need, the central heating system provides the dierence.

A exible system

The system can be integrated with all currently nown

heating systems such as district heating, geothermalheating, air to water heat pumps, pellets, wood, oil

or electric boiler.

The greatest amount o energy rom the sun is

naturally generated during summer, when the sun shines

the most. On beautiul winter days, during late autumn

and early spring, when we need energy the most, a

considerable amount o energy is however generated.

The reason is the systems overall eectiveness in

combination with the use o a large absorption area,

since being a roo at the same time.

The highest eciency is obtained when the roo is

straight south acing, but southwest and southeast also

wors very well. The optimal roo pitch is around 45 de-

grees, but the system wors well at 20 degrees. I you

have less than 15 degree pitch on the roo, do contact

SolTech Energy or the design o an appropriate solution

or you. Each installation is tailored to the specic prop-

erty. SolTech Sigma can be installed on the entire or part

o the roo, depending on customer needs and wants.

When part o the roo is used as solar collector

surace, we oer the customer a solution were SolTechs

specic glass roo tiles are installed on the entire roo,

to achieve an attractive and uniorm appearance.

cally or SolTech Energy and the SolTech System. PV

cells are placed horizontally between the battens and

covered by our glass roo tiles and thus protected rom

the elements.

pump to achieve energy-neutral solutions or

your heating needs!

Let SolTech Sigma supply hot water and heating or

much o the year, whilst SolTech Power supplies the

same amount o electricity that is needed to run the

heat pump on a yearly basis.

With SolTech Total, we oer property owners a

complete solution. You either choose a smaller solution,

where SolTech Power supplies enough electricity to

operate pumps, control systems, etc., i.e. all peripheralsystems in SolTech Sigma, or a complete solution (Total)

where the sun provides or the entire heating require-

ment * (heating / hot water and electricity - equivalent

to the number o ilowatt hours the heat pump requires

on a yearly basis). A solution that is smart, stylish,

The SolTech Roof Tile

Stylish, strong and eectiveThe SolTech glass roo tile is designed as part o SolTech Energys solar energy

system, but also does the job o a traditional roo tile, protecting the building.

The tile is manuactured o highly transparent glass with low content o iron

oxide and has a double bend.

The design enables the SolTech tile to be tted together with various

complementary products made or traditional concrete tiles, such as specic

ttings, seals, gasets etc.

Appearance

Low level o iron oxide gives the tile a light silver or gray tone, infuenced by

the color o the underlying material (absorber) and the sy when installed. The

surace o the SolTech tile is smooth and corresponds to that o glazed tiles.

The storage (accumulator) tan is the centerpiece o each major solar energy

system. The eciency and perormance o the tan aects the entire system

and economy.

SolTech collaborates with Riutec, a world leading supplier o plastic

storage tans. SolTechs storage tans are the only pressure-proo tans made

o plastic. This result in many advantages, or example SolTechs tans are

easier to install since they weigh much less and they never rust.

SolTechs accumulator tans meet EUs requirements and criteria in theEco-Design Directive LOT2 and have energy class B. From the year o 2015,

all parts used in any orm o energy system, must comply with the ECO-

Design Directive and meet energy class A or B.
