Architecture: SOTASIP System Topology


The SOTAS system consists of a Central Switching Unit withCrew Boxes attached in a star configuration

The star configuration is a robust solution for hostileenvironments, and is highly resilient to battle damage.

Coaxial cabling distributes both power and data between theCentral Switching Units and Crew Boxes enabling efficient

use of space.Robust digital data link is designed for slip ring routing, usinga modulation method that is virtually immune to noise.

SOTAS is a modular system with a scalable number of audioand data access interfaces.

Configurable Central Switching Units use the same software,

have a common hardware core, and share several optionalbuilding blocks enabling easy customization both for currentvehicle configurations and emerging requirements.
