Björg Ingadottir Designer of SPAKS

SPAKS is an award-winning Icelandic fashion house. Established in 1993, SPAKS has participated in a num-ber of fashion shows in Iceland and around Europe. Our head designer, Björg Ingadottir, has been designing women’s clothing for over 25 years. Her goal is to design timeless cloth-ing and accessories that look great on every women and can be used on different occasions.

“I am always under the influence of the Icelandic nature, I love the contrast, the colours and the space. Iceland is a Nordic country and our culture is very interwoven with the Scandina-vian culture, which influences my design”.

We are extremely conscious of the amount of resources that goes into clothing production in the world. Therefore, we try our hardest to manufacture all our garments in Europe, choose long lasting high-quality textiles, excellent needlework and de-sign beyond short trends. We want to design and manufacture garments that lasts and look currant for years. For us it’s about quality, not quantity.

I design for the independent woman and her modern lifestyle. My goal is to make women feel good and look her best.“
