PropertyGuys.com, Canada’s largest private sale franchise network and a modern alternative to traditional real estate agents, has been actively helping local families sell their homes in the Fraser Valley for the last 8 years.

“Customers want an alternative to the fees agents charge but they have been misinformed on their viability. They want a solution that best combines technology and access to expertise – and we have that,” says Ken LeBlanc, President and CEO of PropertyGuys.com.

Instead of agents, their program combines the expertise of on-line marketing, MLS

exposure on realtor.ca, real estate brokers, a Certifi ed Appraiser, a local real estate lawyer and an answering and appointment-booking service. Combined, they make selling without an agent more convenient and rewarding than it has ever been before.

When it comes to pricing a property, PropertyGuys.com uses the services of a local Certifi ed Property Appraiser who delivers a unique pricing strategy for their sellers. This allows for a fair opinion, free of bias and backed by market knowledge and expertise.

Another key innovation in the program is how an expert local real estate lawyer is brought into the mix to provide sellers with practical

advice, protection and answers along the way.

MLS exposure on realtor.ca and PropertyGuys.com guarantees your buyer will fi nd your home.

This re-engineering of the traditional model helps replace expensive listing agents altogether!

The team at PropertyGuys helped clients sell over $119,000,000 worth of real estate locally last year. Those sellers saved over $380,000 in real estate fees in 2014! We’re just getting started! Word is spreading and our leading form of new business is from repeat customers and referrals from past customers.

We help people keep the equity they have in their homes!

Call us at 604-768-8857 and we can show you how this program can help you keep your equity and get your home SOLD!

The Property Guys!

Edgar Lopez is the Business Development Manager at Level-Tech, with over a decade in customer service andsales experience from fi nance and direct sales. The Level-Tech Team is led by Alfredo Ubico – with over a decade ofexperience he is known for his dedication to delivering thebest fi nished results with millions of square feet of high-end concrete fl ooring placed throughout BC.

Level-Tech is a local family business specializing inConcrete Flooring for your home, garage, business, and exterior applications. We serve the Lower Mainland as wellas most parts of BC and Alberta. Level-Tech prides itself on its workmanship and customer service. We believe in

Bert Pulles has been controlling moles for more than 20 years. He has been studying and researching the creaturesfor just as long – he even wrote a book about moles and their habits. He learned the trade from a farmer and beganhis business with just one trap. Now, Bert makes more than 10,000 traps a year and sells them to pest control companies as well as individuals across Canada and the United States.

His traps, called Mole Busters, are popular because they areeasy to use. “Any trap on the market will catch a mole, but it’s the ease of use that makes my traps special,” said Bert about his product, which is manufactured in Mission. The

traps are based on a European design that has been around for 300 years. He demonstrates themole buster and happily shares his knowledge at local garden shops and trade shows.

Bert is a familiar face at the Fraser Valley Home and Garden Expo in Abbotsford. He returns to theTradex stage every year to share his knowledge.

Kathy van Gogh has been a decorative artist since 2001. Her formal training began in the USA and in Canada. To further hone her skills, she travelled to Italy and France to learn from the authentic Masters of techniques including ornamentation, marbles, woodgrains, gold leafi ng and just about every other branch of what is generally referred to as decorative art. Initially, she opened her design company called FAKE IT, so-called because her work includes making walls look 2000 years old or

transforming drywall into beautiful marbles, exotic woods and jaw-dropping fi nishes. Kathy has completed hundreds of projects in some of Vancouver’s most prestigious homes and businesses, and she has been featured in many renowned publications.

Eventually, after rendering thousands of square feet of gorgeous walls, ceilings and fl oors, Kathy opened the only teaching studio for this ancient art form in all of Western Canada, STUDIO VAN GOGH. Now, as a recognized leader and innovator in the industry, Kathy is invited to travel all over the world teaching her methods and artistry to others.

The next natural evolution of her business and art acumen lead her to create a line of products designed specifi cally to refi nish old, abused furniture and turn them into works of art in the French Provence or Shabby Chic style. Her line of VAN GOGH FURNITURE PAINTOLOGY includes FOSSIL PAINT, BEESWAX, a tough-as-nails TABLETOP FINISH and her bling products called VAN GOGH FURNITURE MAKEUP. These products are all designed to live and play happily together so the Do-It-Yourselfer as well as the professional can create their own artistic pieces with confi dence and ease. Essentially, Kathy has taken all her knowledge from the once exclusive world of decorative painting and made it accessible to everyone.

Today, Kathy has shifted her teaching to focus on Training the Trainer. She supports women who want to open their own businesses conducting workshops, refi nishing furniture and retailing her line of products.

“I’m looking for women with a passion for the work, I can teach them the skills. We don’t just sell paint…we sell EMPOWERMENT!

2015 HOME & GARDEN EXPO

This year Kitchen Korner will be introducing new products and trends in kitchen design, illustrating how to have fun with design while paying attention to trouble-free surfaces and effi cient space planning.

The trend in kitchens today is function and convenient storage. Gone are the days that cabinets are just empty boxes waiting to be fi lled with food, utensils, cooking, cleaning, and preparation items. We will be showcasing interior storage options that hark back to the old adage…”a place for everything, everything in its place”.

The theme of our booth is “Big Ideas for Small Kitchens”. We challenged our two planning teams to each design a 10 ft. x 15 ft. kitchen, incorporating a casual dining space and typical appliances The fi rst one, designed by Lynda Horner and Jewel Bos, is a contemporary display that highlights some of the trends of European inspired aesthetic. The other, created by Linsey Kleingeltink and Jody Lawrence, is a traditional display, featuring a combination of painted and stained cabinetry, along with organic surface materials.

Our contemporary display incorporates a mixture of materials including high gloss painted doors, eco-friendly reconstituted veneers, colourful laminates, back-painted glass, and non-porous, easy to clean quartz countertops. This exhibit illustrates how a seating area can be achieved in a small space, by integrating a pull-out table that can be hidden away to conserve space. Other features include unique corner storage options, glass display shelving, a custom wine rack, recycling bins, and textured laminate backsplash. The appliances chosen include a dishwasher drawer, under-counter oven, built-in refrigerator, and smooth top cooking surface with custom-designed hood above. LED lighting is used over the cooktop and under the upper cabinetry.

The traditional display includes off-white painted cabinetry coupled with a stained knotty alder island and a hickory eating bar. The main countertop includes a multi-purpose under-mount sink that provides extra work space for preparing and cooking a meal. Inside the cabinetry are wood drawers that fully extend and offer a soft closing feature, complete with organizers for a variety of utensils. Enhancing

the look of the countertop is an elegantly veined stone backsplash in a driftwood pattern. Storage options include pull-out wet spice shelves, pull-out waste bin, large pantry with rollout shelves, glass display cabinetry, and pots and pans drawers. There is even a dog dish station for the family pet!

Please come and see us at Feature Area B to meet our friendly and knowledgeable staff, and discuss your next new home or remodeling project. We provide complete kitchen and bath renovation services, and can manage your project from start to fi nish!

2015 HOME & GARDEN EXPO

The nomadic tribes of inner Asia lived on the high plains in often severe weather conditions. They required shelter which not only housed them but also had to be portable. They looked to nature as did many indigenous tribes around the word and decided on a circle.

The modern day yurt is the synthesis of old and new as it still holds the circle design and is still portable. However with the space age materials and improved design capabilities the yurt is not just a tent – it is an elegant, affordable, and durable way of living on the planet. A yurt allows you to live close to nature while leaving a very small footprint on the earth.

Fully insulated to withstand freezing cold temperatures, yurts are ideal for year-round living, working, and playing - including cottages, offi ces, galleries, studios, meditation

centres, ski cabins, classrooms, studios, retreats, gazebos and much more.

Yurts can be fully insulated to withstand extreme weather conditions, meaning that they can be built in the tropics or in Alaska, Yukon and Nunavut. If you have a piece of property that is diffi cult to get to which would cost a fortune to build on, consider a yurt which can be erected in as little as one day to one week. And not only is it quick to “construct”, it is easy on the land and also on your pocketbook at $22.00 per square foot.

At YurtZby Design we are proud to hand-craft strong, durable, and affordable yurts right here in Canada. Our yurts are available in sizes ranging from 8 ft. to 32 ft. in diameter,

and every one is hand-crafted and uniquely designed just for you, your furnishings, and the landscape you live in.
