Investigators should be well-prepared when they testify in court. They should not be surprised if they are asked about aspects of the Constitution or about their “Oath of Office. They should also not be surprised if they are asked if they have committed any illegal activities during the course of the investigation. If an officer has acted in an undercover capacity during the case, he will probably be questioned in detail about entrapment issues.
