Basque Energy Board

The Ente Vasco de la Energía (Basque Energy Agency) is the Basque

Government's energy agency. Its mission is to:

Propose energy strategies for the Basque Country, based on criteria of

supply security, cost competitiveness, technological and business

development and sustainability.

Participate in developing these strategies and contribute to meeting

the targets established in them.

• The Biscay Marine Energy Platform is an

ocean infrastructure for research,

demonstration and operation of offshore

Wave Energy Converters (WEC) on the

open sea, to be extended to provide

services to offshore wind energy.

• Provides wave energy device

manufacturers with ready-to-use facilities to

validate their designs and to test their

technical and economic feasibility.
