May 14 - June 11 — Bicycle Maintenance & Repair, by Simon Rakower. Comprehensive and practical, hands-on bicycle maintenance and repair, focusing on road and mountain bikes. May 31 — Mosses and Lichens: A World Underfoot, Denali National Park botanist Sarah Stehn will lead this introductory field course on Denali’s diverse group of mosses and lichens. Participants will investigate the biology and ecology of these organisms as they explore the landscape and learn to identify the most common and charismatic species. Course based out of the Murie Science and Learning Center field camp located along the Teklanika

This annual event gives area piano students a chance to compete in 32 different categories from baroque to contemporary divided by age and develop.m.ent level. Peter Mack from Cornish College of the Arts will be this year’s judge. Gold and silver medals will be awarded in each class. Deadline to enter is March 25.
