Sri Sitarama Stotram - Padma Puranam K. Muralidharan ([email protected]) 1 The following is a rare hymn on Lord Rama (and Goddess Sita) by Lord Shiva from Padma Puranam, Uttara Khanda and Chapter 243 titled Vishva Darshanam. In this hymn, Lord Shiva prays to the divine couple as the parents of the universe who embody themselves in various masculine/feminine forms such as Lakshmi/Vishnu, Gauri/Shiva, Savitri/Brahma, Indra/Indrani, Svaha/Agni, etc. In the brief Phalashruti, Lord Rama declares that one who recites this sacred hymn by Lord Shambhu will get absolved of all sins and begets benefits such as victory in battles, relief from evil spirits, progeny, spouse, wealth, good demeanor, absence of obstacles in all deeds, and all the rightful wishes that seem insurmountable. One who recites this daily for six months will see the fructification of this hymn bestowing the benefits of bathing in all holy waters and performing all Yajnas but multiplied by a crore times.
