THIRTY SECOND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME – C November 10, 2019

Jesus Christ is the firstborn of the dead; to him glory for ever and ever.

The Gospel today and the celebration of November Masses for our beloved ones force us to reflect on the meaning of life and the purpose of death. As Christians, we believe that our human existence cannot adequately be explained in terms of this earth only; life does not finish with the grave; it’s open-ended, beginning here on earth but finding its completion somewhere hereafter, beyond what we call death. Death is the doorway leading to eternal life. It is our leap into eternity with God calling us to the fullness of life.

La speranza cristiana si concretizza in una vita vissuta intensamente in ogni istante, nella profonda con-vinzione che c'è sempre qualcosa per cui vale la pena vivere. Significa essere profondamente convinti che il male e la morte non hanno l'ultima parola sulla vita. Significa sapere che ogni piccola cosa che fac-ciamo costruisce vita dentro e intorno a noi. Ogni piccola cosa: ogni gesto, ogni sguardo, ogni movimento, ogni incontro, ogni parola, ogni situazione piccola o grande che sia, dice, in fondo, la nostra speranza di vita eterna. Perché è proprio vero, come dice il proverbio, che "finché c'è vita c'è speranza". Dove c'è speranza c'è vita, perché la speranza cristiana è davvero l'ultima a morire

BISHOP’S DIOCESAN MINISTRY CAMPAIGN Our goal this year is $29, 000.00 and to date we have reached 66% raising $19,272.60 This Campaign will run from September until mid December.
