Слово Отця Пароха: ◼ Відкриття Церкви - Найновіші медичні звіти передбачують, що вірус Covid-19 буде тривати іще наступних 12-16 місяців. Хоча не можем громадно зібратися у великій кількості, хочемо поволі відкрити церкву особливо для тих парафіян, які не мають можливості оглядати недільну Літургію по Інтернеті. Під умовою, що можемо забезпечити безпечне середовище, наша парафія планує відкрити двері з 13 вересня (або як тільки це стане можливо). На наступній сторінці детальні інформації про умови безпечного відкриття церкви. ◼ Вересневi Празники: Цього місяця припадають два паразники: Рiздвo Пресв. Бoгoрoдицi (21-гo вересня) i Вoздвиження Чеснoгo Хреста (27-гo). ◼ Підсумки Парафії - Парафія заснована 1956 р, а нова церква побудована 2012. Наша церква - це двомовна громада яка складається з 500 родин з Місісаґа, Оквіл та околиць. Якщо ви не зареєс-тровані - запрошуємо записатися щоб ми могли вам краще послужити. (Анкета знаходиться в притворі або на вебсторінці під кнопкою “Contact Info”.) Місячно розсилаємо новини електронно. Щодо нашого фінасового стану - більша частка місячного морґеджу покривається доходом із винаймання залу, дитячого садочку, продажу харчів та з парафіяльних подій. Частка морґежу яка відноситься до властивої церкви ($3.68M - а почали $4.1M) покривається пожертвами парафіян. Запрошуємо парафіян реґулярно підтримати недільну тацу та морґеджовий фонд. Pastor’s Notes: ◼ Church Reopening - The latest medical reports sug-gest that the Covid-19 virus will continue to linger for the next 12-16 months. While we cannot gather in large numbers we wish to accommodate parishioners unable to participate in Sunday Liturgy online. Provid-ed we can ensure a safe environment, our parish will plan to reopen on Sep 13 (or as soon as safely feasi-ble). See pg. 3 for detailed information on the condi-tions for a safe church reopening. ◼ September Feasts: - Two major feast days fall in September: the Nativity of Mary (Sep 21) & the Exal-tation of the Holy Cross (Sep 27). ◼ Parish Summary - St. Joseph’s parish was founded in 1956. The first chapel on Maple Grove Dr. was built in 1966 and our current church was opened in 2012. Today our bilingual parish community consists of 500 registered families from Oakville, Mississauga, Oak-ville & surrounding areas. If you are currently not a registered family we invite you to do so. (Forms are available in the narthex or online; select “Contact In-fo” on parish website). We email monthly parish up-date to keep you abreast of upcoming events. In ref-erence to our church finances, the bulk of our month-ly mortgage is covered by income from hall rentals, the daycare, food sales & parish fundraising events. However, we rely on the generosity of our parishion-ers to only cover the church portion (approx. $3.68M - down from $4.1M). Hence we invite every family to contribute regularly to the weekly Sunday collection & the mortgage fund. If you are unable to attend church you can now watch the Sunday Liturgy live on our parish website.

COMMUNION CLASSES for 2021

will begin Sun, Oct 25 (10:15 am) - online only!

Every year children (typically in Gr. 2) participate in a parish program in preparation for First Confession & Solemn Holy Communion (Roman Catholics refer

to this as “First Holy Communion”). Even if children attend a Catholic school where First Communion prep is included in the Gr. 2 curriculum, it is beneficial to also participate in the parish program (the exception being St. Sophia which al-ready includes a Byzantine rite program). To register your child, please email the parish office.

Church Reopening In order to safely open our church for Sunday Liturgy, especially for those unable to participate via live streaming, we will require 6 volun-teers for each Liturgy to assist with welcoming people & ensur-ing covid protocols (masks, sign-in, disinfection, etc). Volunteers should notify the parish office by Sep 10. Persons feeling unwell or have

difficulty breathing with a mask should not attend church.

Upon entering the church eve-ry person or family is required to complete & sign a Covid form.

Seating is available only in des-ignated pews.

Everyone in church (with the exception of the can-tors) are required to wear a face mask at all times.

During the Liturgy the faithful are asked to pray quietly.

Prayerbooks & candles will not be available. Holy Communion will be distributed at the end of

Liturgy as people are leaving church. Confession will be available in the chapel (during

Liturgy) . Church donation envelopes may be dropped into

the mailbox in the narthex. There should be no socializing in the church nar-

thex. Washrooms should be used one person or family

at a time. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a safe environment.

Відкриття церкви Для безпечного відкриття нашої церкви для недільної Літургії, особливо для тих, хто не може взяти участь у прямому ефірі, нам буде потрібно: 6 добровольців на кожну Літургію, щоб допомогти привітати людей та забезпечити відповідні протоколи (маски, реєстрація при вході, дезінфекція тощо). Волонтери повинні зголоситися до парафіяльного бюра до 10 вересня. Хто погано почувається або кому важко дихати з маскою, не повинні відвідувати церкву. При вході до церкви кожна людина чи сім’я зобов’язані заповнити та підписати анкету Covid.

Сидіти можна лише в призначених лавках. Усі в церкві (за винятком крилосу) повинні

постійно носити маску для обличчя. Під час Літургії вірних просимо молитися тихо. Молитовники та свічки будуть недоступні. До Святого Причастя можна приступити

наприкінці Літургії, коли люди виходять із церкви.

До Св. Сповіді можна приступити в каплиці (під час Літургії).

Конверти для недільної пожертви можна вкласти в поштову скриньку в притворі.

Просимо не спілкуватися в церкові або в притворі.

Умивальками слід користуватися одній людині або родині на раз.
