Defeating Coronacula
Once upon a time, two sisters, Rebecca and Freya lived happily on a beautiful
planet with the company of the animals, which were their only family, since they had
lost their parents.
One day a strange monster, the vicious “Coronacula” approached the two girls.
At first, he wanted to become friends with them, but he couldn’t stop feeling jealous of
the real love between the girls and the animals. So he decided to destroy every sense of
happiness on that perfect place by pouring deadly poison into the water in order to
make them all sick.
So he did, a lot of animals got sick. In fact some of them died. The sisters were
forced to stay at home separated from each other for a long time because of the
disease. “Coronacula” was satisfied as he thought he had separated them for good.
However, the sisters didn’t stay inactive. Wearing their protection masks and
uniforms, they secretly and carefully met with the animals and they made a plan. They
created a medicine with some samples of the monster’s poison and they prepared a
vaccine that would kill “Coronacula”.
Finally, they managed to kill “Coronacula” at his shelter and they all returned to
their normal and happy lives.

My name is Sani
Hello everybody! My name is Sani and I am a Maltese puppy. I live with a funny family,
dad, mum and a little girl, Ariadne. Lately, everything has changed! They don’t leave
me alone in the house, because they don’t go anymore to strange places I don’t even
know their names, but instead they stay home with me and we go for a walk every
day. However, there is something I can’t understand when we go out! They all look
like vet doctors- you know, wearing masks and gloves! Why? Don’t ask me! I think it
is Halloween again… Can I ask one more thing? When we go out for a walk, why are
we running in the middle of the street and why those big things that used to move in
the street and smelled bad have disappeared? Now the air is clean and I can even
smell some flowers! They blame someone called Coronavirus for all these, but I want
to thank him! Since he came, I spent lots of time with my human family and I hope
when Coronavirus leaves we all remain that happy!!!

"Staying at Home"
A New Reality
The new boring, I may say, reality, has invaded our lives so fiercely and so abruptly - disabling
our activities and moments of our lives.
Completely!
We do not have the ability or permission to talk to our friends, go on holiday, leave our
houses... The quarantine, due to this new deadly virus, has gone too far and far too long...
People are just sitting at home, mostly doing nothing, just watching TV or playing computer
games. Mostly with strangers. It's just really irritating not being able to go on with your life as
you used to. I want to talk to my friends at school, I want to go to my grandma, grandpa, to my
aunt, see my cousins again after almost two months; online calls are just not enough! It's not
the same as hugging them, it's not the same as talking to them face-to-face, playing
hide-and-seek, laughing together. It all sucks!
I miss my "old" reality! I miss going up and down the stairs of our school in every break, every
morning, every day. I miss going to the music school to play the assigned song at the piano
lessons; going to the theatre school to practise my role as the fox in the "Little Prince". I miss it
all!
I just miss everything I used to do, I wish I could go back and undo... Just undo everything!
The year 2020 has been so far an awful ride...
Let us all hope it is all for the best and the best is yet to come!

Unidentified mr. COVID-19,
Experts say that through the microscope when they see you, in order
to try to analyze and further understand you, you take the shape of a
crown. Is this truly how kings rule?
Once upon a time, in the tales of my own imagination, a true king loves and respects his subjects. You, on the other hand, do not reign accordingly; you attack and frighten us, you create havoc. You also haven’t formally introduced yourself to us. Is this how you were taught to be genuine, by the royals? Would they be proud to see you now? I believe congratulations are in order; you’ve officially made your kingdom global. Financial wounds all around the world have been opened… By decision of many states, schools and most businesses, barring food markets, have been closed to avoid overcrowding. Luckily thanks to FaceTime and Zoom, people of all ages get to see their friends and kin again although from a distance. Thus, we all have the opportunity to play, talk and exchange views or concerns about the current state of incarceration we’re dealing with. Search teams in universities & the greatest minds in the world are working on a medical weapon whose mass and power is unimaginable. I dare you to bear in mind all the pain, sorrow, loneliness and misery you’ve caused. Goodbye now...

A Quarantine Story
by Chtouris Aristos
I had never run so fast in my life! Mom almost dropped a plate when I burst in,
slamming the door behind me. “What happened?” “It’s that man next door!” I
answered. “As if the lockdown was not enough,” Mom sighed. “Did you step on Mr
Barker’s lawn again?” “No! He just called out my name.”
Mr Barker was a scary old man. He would never let anyone near his property. Every
kid was afraid of him. And for good reason! He’d done indescribable things to
trespassers. There was a huge “KEEP OFF!” sign on his front lawn.
When I went to bed, I was feeling guilty.“What if he needed help?” I thought to
myself. I couldn't get my mind off what had happened.
The next day I plucked up the courage to ring his doorbell. A very pale Mr Barker
stepped outside. "I haven't eaten in days," he said weakly. “ Don’t worry,”, I said, “ I
got your back”.
From that day on, Mr Barker would leave his shopping list and some money outside
his door and I would do his groceries. If somebody had told me Mr Barker could be
that sweet, I would have called him crazy.
Stay at home
“I could say that time flies, but that wouldn’t be true,” Anna thought to herself while looking at the door. Almost two months had passed from the day she was told she had to stay at home and not go out unless absolutely necessary – 51 days to be exact – and now the time had come that she would be free. But would she really? “They say you can go out now! Aren’t you happy?” her father asked her. She didn’t know what to feel. She had been inside for so long she had forgotten what it felt like to be out. All these past days she had developed a routine to keep herself busy. In fact, time didn’t seem to be enough at home. There was always something to do: study, work on her projects, prepare for the exams, whether there would be any, watch endless videos, series and films online, play with her sister and have fun with her parents. She didn’t allow herself to think when this would be over since it was not up to her. She looked at the door again and smiled as anticipation filled her heart. She was finally freed! The corona virus song
Stay at home, Save your life.
Stay at home, Save my life.
Watch TV, Don’t go out
Speak with friends, don’t have them around.
Sleep enough, Is good for you.
Give wishes, Don’t give hugs and kisses.
The corona virus will soon go away.
Our lives will go on and happiness will
be again all over the world.
Don’t be afraid, you are strong .
You can win If you just stay at home.
POEM
We stay at home all day
Until the Corona virus goes away.
We don’t visit our grandparents
And we stay at home with our parents.
Every night we have to pray
Finally to go out in May. But remember…this is not over The Corona virus will be back in October! Written by Charalambos Vasilakeris Student of the fifth Grade (20th Primary School of Ag. Dimitrios)
ΘΕΜΑ: «Προκήρυξη Διαγωνισμού Δημιουργικής Γραφής στην Αγγλική Γλώσσα» “The fear of disease” The fear my friends The fear of disease Masks, gloves and antiseptics everywhere And I am still looking for my dreams Between the music and the sky Between my thoughts they have arrived Behind my dance that keeps me alive The fear my friends The fear of disease And nowadays the time is slow The rhythm of our lives is really low It’s time to look inside It’s time to find our deepest mind It’s time to breathe the clear air from outside The fear my friends The fear is not near Approach the soul and hug my dog The kingdom now is my home Because I know I’m not alone So I can turn off my mobile phone and sing an empty song The fear my friends
Became a precious friend
And the disease will have an end

Stay at home
Stay at home, don’t go out only empty streets, no laughing out loud play it safe and wait it out till the time comes that a cure is found. Stay uncontaminated by this painful, deadly disease remain isolated something done with very little ease. Hold your head up high and be brave you may occasionally sigh but there is no shame. And when you are free to go out at last let it be a lesson to you through all the days that have passed a single truth was revealed to you, you’re one of many but one of a kind you need to stay healthy just keep that in mind. Life is no longer what it once was empty streets who would have thought how much life would change wherever you turn The world all around is odd But still so nice…

STAY AT HOME COMPETITION
DEHUMANISATION
Sad and alone
In my home
Depressed
Playing chess in iPhone
Missing my friends.
I am locked down
Silence in town
Despair in the air
Everywhere sterilization
I am in isolation.
I try to stay strong
And break the chain
But I feel nothing
Only pain
I have no hope
I wish I was on a train
Without stop.
I travel with mind
And Google Earth
I express my online feelings
To my ghost friend
And I smell the lost Spring
From a flower you just posted
But you will never bring…

“Stay at home”
Coronavirus is everywhere
And I can go nowhere
I wish I could see you
You coughed? You’re dead
Stay one metre away
You know I can’t be you
So don’t complain friend
Quarantine is what people say
Nothing can be touched
Or else you should wash your hand
Now fear rules the world
When all this finishes
Madness will reign over
Don’t say a word
Because I won’t hear it until everything fixes
All you have to do dear
Is to stay at home
And soon no one will be alone
Everything will end
Some people will pass away
Others will stay alive
The most important my friend
Is to keep calm and say
Everything is going to thrive
Quarantine will last for a while
But it’s the only way for us to survive
