Dehiscence나 Fenestration 등과 같은 골 결손부는 온전한 골유착 진행을 방해 합니다. 개를 대상으로 한 동물
전임상시험 결과 SLActive® 표면 임플란트는 SLA® 표면 임플란트에 비해 차이를 보이며, 훨씬 더 성숙하고 많은 양의
Mature Bone 생성을 촉진하는 것으로 나타났습니다. 이러한 결과를 통해 SLActive® 표면 임플란트가 Dehiscence
type defects에서 골유착을 촉진 할 수 있는 가능성이 높다는 것을 알 수 있습니다.

환자 한 명의 종양이 재발하여 그래프는 총 19명의 환자, 97개의 임플란트 결과를 나타냄.
그래프는 암으로 사망한 4명의 환자를 제외하고, 총 15명의 환자 79개의 임플란트 결과를 나타냄

임플란트 치료가 가장 어려운 환자군 중에는 종양 수술, 항암화학요법, 방사선 치료를 함께 병행하여 받은
환자군을 손꼽을 수 있습니다. 방사선 치료는 골 혈관분포(vascularity) 감소 와 조골세포 활성 손상 ,
골활력도(bone vitality) 저하 를 초래하는데, 이 경우 환자의 골질이 심하게 손상됩니다. 점막 손상이나
골괴사의 위험은 이후 치료에도 어려움을 줄 수 있습니다. 하지만, 환자의 “삶의 질” 측면에서 볼 때, 이와
같은 환자군은 임플란트 지지 보철 수복 치료법의 가장 큰 수혜자가 될 수 있습니다.
최근 진행 된 무작위 임상시험(RCT) 결과, 방사선 치료를 받은 환자군에서 SLActive®는 100 % 치료 성공률을
보였습니다.
발표된 논문들 을 보면, 무작위 임상시험 환경 내에서 이와 같은 환자군을 대상으로 높은 성공률을
나타낸 다른 브랜드의 임플란트 표면은 없었습니다. 주목할 점은, 본 임상시험의 5년 추적조사 결과, 생존한
환자 중 SLActive® 임플란트 치료에 실패한 케이스는 없었고, 임플란트 Survival rate 100 %였다는 것 입니다.

특히, 환자가 고령자라면?
당뇨환자들은 상처 치유력이 저하되어 있기 때문에, 임플란트 치료자체가 위험할 수도 있습니다. 특히, 환자가 자신의 상태를 인지
하지 못하는 경우 더욱 그렇습니다. 전 세계적으로, 성인 11명 중 1명꼴로 당뇨병을 앓고 있으며, 만 60세 이상 연령대에서는 당뇨
유병률이 2배에 달합니다.
