Little Rock is the capital and the most populous city of the U.S. state of Arkansas. The population is 197,357. The latitude and longitude of Arkansas is 34.8000° N, 92.2000° W.

• Baton Rouge is the capital of the state Louisiana and it’s second-largest city. The population is 229,426. The latitude and longitude of Louisiana is 31.0413° N, 91.8360° W.

• Oklahoma City is the capital and largest city of the state of Oklahoma. The city ranks 27th among United States cities in population. The population of Oklahoma is 3.853 million . In 1821. The city's population was 193,52. latitude and longitude is 35.5000° N, 98.0000° W.

Major cultural characteristics

• Because Texas was once part of Mexico, the state has a long-standing Mexican heritage and follows many Mexican traditions, including celebrating the popular Mexican holiday Cinco de Mayo. Also 29.21% of Texas is Spanish. The main religion is Evangelical Protestant which is 64.4% of the people there.

Major Industries

• Louisiana's major industry is oil production. One quarter of the total production of gas in the U.S. comes from Louisiana. The location is Baton Rouge.

Texas revolution

• Texas Revolution broke out, and the state became an independent nation in 1835. However, the newly formed Texas Republic was unable to defend itself from further incursions by Mexican troops, and eventually negotiated with the U.S. to join the union in 1845. the importance of this is we got more land

• The Louisiana Purchase - In 1803, the United States bought the Louisiana Territory from France. The U.S. Secretary of State, James Madison paid 15 million dollars for the land the importance of this is we got more land

• The government of Texas operates under the Constitution of Texas and consists of a unitary democratic state government that uses the Dillon Rule.

• The government of the U.S. State of Oklahoma, established by the Oklahoma Constitution, is a republican democracy modeled after the federal government of the United States. The state government has three branches: the executive, legislative, and judicial.

• Texas: German immigrants started to arrive in the early 1840s because of economic, social and political conditions in their states

• Groups who migrated to Louisiana are: The Choctaw nation, The Bayougoula, The Okelousa, The Acolapissa, and the Natchez nation
