WSK has reached it’s fi fth birthday and is
collecting an ever greater consensus both from the constructors, who are all present, and the participating drivers: the number of participants in the entire 2010 Euro Series was greater than those of the 2009 Championship. A signifi cant fact considering this moment of economical crisis. So today WSK is the highest level series of the entire International karting panorama. The requests from numerous countries that would like to create their own national WSK Championships are proof of the success of our project.// WSK compie cinque anni e accoglie un numero sempre maggiore di consensi, sia dai costruttori, tutti presenti, sia dai piloti partecipanti: gli iscritti a tutta la Euro Series ’10 sono superiori a quelli del campionato ’09. Un dato senza dubbio signifi cativo in un momento di crisi come questo. Insomma, oggi WSK è la serie di più alto livello dell’intero panorama kartistico internazionale. Le richieste dei tanti Paesi che vogliono creare campionati nazionali targati WSK sono la prova della bontà del nostro progetto.

It will be articulated in fi ve appoint-ments between March and June with races at the top Italian and European circuits. Studied to be the fi rst approach for drivers who intend to grow and improve in karting, it will be possible to race in the “launch” KZ2, KF2 and KF3 categories, with the addition of the 60 Mini. This event will be held over three appointments during three months of August, September and October. // Studiata come primo approccio per i piloti intenzio-nati a crescere e migliorare con il karting, si potrà correre con le cate-gorie di “lancio” KZ2, KF2 e KF3, con l’aggiunta della 60 Mini. To conclude such an important season of racing we have the WSK Nations Cup, an International ap-pointment for reserved participants. THE PRESS// I MEDIAAs the absolute refe-rence in it’s industry, WSK will guarantee TV coverage that has never been seen in karting. In 2009 there were almost 400 mi-nutes of transmission dedicated to WSK on various channels, for a total of 6 and a half hours of karting on TV. The commitment of Rai Sport for 2010 has also been confi rmed. They will dedicate an ample synthesis of all the events of both the World and Euro series, as well as for the Master Series and Nations Cup. // Riferimento assoluto nel proprio settore, il WSK garantisce una copertura televisiva che per il karting non si era mai vista. Nel 2009 sono stati quasi 400 i minuti di trasmi-sione dedicati al WSK sulle diverse televisio-ni, per un totale di 6 ore e mezza di kart in TV. Confermato anche per il 2010 l’impegno di Rai Sport che dedicherà ampie sintesi a tutte le prove sia della World sia della Euro series.
THE TALENTS// I TALENTIAs we all know karting is the top “school” for the drivers of tomor-row; and WSK is the highest expression of this school. This
is where the talent scouts and the top motor-racing reali-ties, including For-mula 1, are looking. In 2010 all the most promising young talents will be bat-tling it out. Like the Dutchman Nyck De Vries, for example, who will be defen-ding the Chiesa Corse colours after his recent signing with McLaren, as his team-mate Oli-ver Rowland did before him. In KF3 Alex Albon, driving for Intrepid, is being followed by Red Bull and Max Ver-stappen will make his debut for CRG hoping to follow in the footsteps of his father Jos. And whi-le the presence of the RK team (often followed personally by Robert Kubica himself) has been confi rmed, there will be the important debut of Formula K, the team put to-gether by Andrea Bertolini (FIA GT World Champion). We should also men-tion the two drivers selected by the Fer-rari Driver Academy: Brandon Maisano and Federico Savo-na. So more than ever, the talents of tomorrow are part of karting... and are part of WSK. // Il kar-ting, si sa, è la “scuo-la” per eccellenza per i piloti di doma-ni; e il WSK di questa scuola è l’espres-sione più alta. È qui che sono puntati gli occhi di talent scout e grandi real-tà motoristiche, F1 compresa. Nel 2010,
a darsi battaglia ci saranno tutti i giova-ni più promettenti. Come l’olandese Nyck De Vries, per esempio, che di-fenderà i colori di Chiesa Corse forte di una fresca fi rma con McLaren, così come prima di lui ha fatto il suo compagno di scuderia Oliver Rowland. Ma an-che, nella KF3, Alex Albon, pilota Intrepid seguito da Red Bull, e Max Verstappen, che debutterà con la CRG sperando di seguire le orme di papà Jos. At the start of the inau-gural race of the WSK Internatio-
nal Series in Muro Leccese there were almost 120 drivers. A positive response that was also confirmed in the successive three appointments in Lonato, Mariembourg and Jesolo. In this first year WSK alrea-dy obtained approval as an official “FIA Authorised Series” from the Internatio-nal Federation. // Al via per la gara inaugurale della WSK International Series a Muro Leccese ci sono quasi 120 piloti. lable places were assigned. The first event was in Muro Leccese with all the best drivers in the world ready to battle it out in a season cha-racterised by no less then six appointments that involved four nations: Italy, France, Spain and Belgium. To assist the work of the teams at the track WSK Promotion started a collaboration with Panta,

Per agevolare il lavoro dei team impegnati in pista, WSK Promotion av-via la collaborazione con Panta, azienda fornitrice di carburanti da competizio-ne, un deciso passo avanti nella logistica delle squadre.

This immediate success with subscriptions was followed by some great news for WSK drivers: a partnership between BMW Motorsport and WSK Inter-national Series, drawn up to select five young talents to start off in Formula BMW.
