about the pRogRamme
The Diploma in Accounting (DACC) programme is designed to prepare students with the competencies that are functional, personal and provides a broad business perspective relating to the needs of the industries in Malaysia.
DACC allows for progression to professional accounting qualifications offered by ACCA and ICAEW. Besides, graduates canalso choose to continue to the Sunway BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance, jointly accredited by Lancaster University and the Victoria University Bachelor of Business. Articulation for progression to degree programmes with other Universities have also been established.
Obtaining the Diploma in Accounting is the first step towards becoming a professional accountant.
pRogRamme highlights
The learning outcomes of the programme are covered in Cost Management Accounting, Principles of Taxation, Malaysian Taxation, Public Sector Accounting and Company Law.
Partnering in decision making and formulating organisational strategies are also expected learning outcomes related to the profession, are accommodated in modules like Business Organisation, Management Accounting Techniques and Introduction to Financial Management.
Through the Audit and Assurance module, students are exposed to the fundamental guidelines practiced in auditing financial and non-financial information.
A holistic and wholesome approach is being adopted with the aim to provide students with a broad-based education in areas of financial and management accounting, auditing and taxation to support organisational planning and decision-making in a variety of business contexts.

The Diploma in Finance (DFIN) programme is designed to develop students’ skills in analysing and planning, with the ability to resolve finance, investment and business issues.
DFIN allows for progression to Sunway BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Studies, BSc (Hons) Financial Analysis or BSc (Hons) Financial Economics. Articulation for progression to degree qualifications offered by Victoria University and other universities have also been established.

about the pRogRamme
At Sunway College, the Diploma in Information Technology (DIIT) is designed to equip students with up-to-date expertise in corporate information systems, internet and interactive media, mobile communications technologies, computer systems and networking, and software engineering. Through Sunway’s DIIT, students will also develop specialised Information Technology (IT) knowledge in programming, web development and content management systems - operating systems, networking, database modelling and implementation. Students are trained to gain technical knowledge & skills and prepare them for careers in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) environment. Students will gain hands-on experience with real industry clients, acquire skills and create network with potential employers. At DIIT, students are taught communication and personal skills to enable them to interact effectively in the workforce. Lifelong learning skills are integrated into IT courses and evaluation exercise with the emphasis on critical thinking skills and personal excellence.
Sunway College will also assist student develop enterprise skills to maximise employment success.

Employment outcomes for DIIT graduates varies depending on the level of qualification. This programme offers graduates a pathway to more specialised studies, opening up additional career paths in information technology and related industries. Employment for ICT professionals is anticipated to grow strongly in the future. Graduates have the opportunities to advance and/or specialise in a wide range of technologies and be prepared to continue training throughout their career to remain industry relevant.

The ISO 9001:2015 certified Library is one of the largest libraries for private educational institutions in Malaysia. Equipped with the latest library technology, Sunway Campus Library is linked worldwide, providing easy access to international e-databases and thousands of e-journals.
Its spacious 72,000 square feet of floor space provides a variety of learning spaces including individual and collaborative learning, Viewing Zone, Group Project Pods, Training Rooms, Instructional Lab, Drink and Phone Area, and IT facilities. Users may study in the Extended Hour Study Area until 2.00 am every day. Our library is ever growing with a huge variety of books, e-journals, online e-databases, audio visual and other collections to support the teaching, learning and research efforts of the academic community at Sunway University.
