A comprehensive record of the site as it stands ought to be merited on the lines of

a) Consultations with A.H.A Hogg on site

b) A full photographic record

c) An updating of the survey of the mid 70’s

d) Revisions of minor details on Cadw’s aerial survey plan of site

e) An assessment of visitor numbers in high and low season

Parts of the site worthy of protection identified as

f) The ramparts

g) The interior (S.W area)

h) The few remaining unexcavated structures – to be identified by appraising earlier excavation records

A scheme to rebuild and stabilise all collapsed walls to be undertaken by one of the following methods

i) MSC schemes (supervision by Trust?)

j) Contract work (preferred option)

k) Cadw direct labour (impossible to finance)

Long Term protection of site

l) Unexcavated huts to be filled with heather growth to prevent metal detector damage

m) Route into fort via North entrance (not S.W as presently used)

n) Signboards to explain and direct visitors as appropriate

o) The establishment of someone to warden the site and rebuild falling masonry as and when necessary (10 hrs per month necessary for this!)
