CONFERENCE INFORMATION

Exploring The Saiva Tradition

Tamil Saiva tradition is one of the most ancient but modern doctrine that has a universal message of Love. The Saivite scriptures depict God as an embodiment of pure love and ecstasy, who con-stantly endeavors to enlighten the souls.

This conference is an educational endeavor of Sydney Murugan Temple, which provides excel-lent theological and traditional spiritual educa-tion to the Hindus of Australia over the last fifteen years. Tamil Saiva tradition has abundance of primary Holy texts in Tamil and Grantham (Sanskrit written in Grantha script). There are three broad catego-ries of primary texts in Saiva Tradition.

1. 28 AgamasAvailable in Tamil and Grantham. 2. 12 Thirumurai in Tamil. 3. 14 Siddhantha (philosophy) texts in Tamil

These scriptures reveal four distinct paths to enlightenment and three kinds of worship. Participants of this conference will explore all the above aspects of Saiva Tradition. They will get excellent and valuable education from the experts and elders.

Experts and motivational speakers from overseas and interstate will provide presentations, speech-es, tutorials and forums on all the above Saiva scriptures and practices.
