Takeshi Hosaka was born in Yamanashi prefecture in 1975.He enrolled in National Defense Academy aiming to become a fighter pilot.But he had to give up to be a pilot because his eyesight got weaker at that time.Then He enrolled in Yokohama National University and received his bachelor of architecture in 1999 and received master's degree at the same university in 2001.He established SPEED STUDIO while attending master program.He established Takeshi Hosaka Architects in 2004.

He is engaged in various architecture and interior design while consistently exploring new ways of relationship between artifact , such as architecture and city , and global nature for the urbanized society.

In 2005 "LOVE HOUSE", he worked on the fusion of small urban buildings and the basic elements of the earth, and in 2009 "Hoto Fudo" he created a new landscape fusion of Mt. Fuji and the architecture and the building became a tourist spot in Fuji-Kawaguchiko. In 2012, "Daylight House" was awarded the JIA Newcomer Award for its efforts for natural light in dense cities. At "SEESAW COFFEE Shanghai" in 2019, he worked on the interior reflecting natural light on the ceiling, and at 2020 "Cemetry of Kamakura Yukinoshita Church", he created a landscape which can be looked as cross from the sky.

He joined Waseda University Art and Architecture School as an associate professor in 2015, and teaches "Modern Architectural Design Theory" , "Basic Design Exercise" , "Architecture design class" for 2nd and 3rd grades and "Space design class" for 3rd grade.For the past 5 years, he works in his own architects office during the day time and spends the night exploring architecture with students in the school.
