This is celebrated over the four days preceding Ash Wednesday.

It is a very festive holiday involving music, dancing and a big parade on Shrove Tuesday. It is filled with the sounds of reggae, the smell of food and incense and all the colours of the rainbow. It has numerous parades making their way up and down this stretch all day and night.
