Strumming  a  String  Sitting  with  his  guitar,  Tanner  Gottschalk  plans  his  next  song  in  his  head.  Steve  Stewart,  Tanner’s  uncle,  actually  is  the  one  who  got  him  started  on  guitar  and  taught  him  to  play.  “  I  love  music,  it  is  my  passion  and  my  life.

You  can  close  your  eyes  and  escape  to  a  whole  new  world  with  no  worries  and  feel  it  flow  through  your  soul.  Music  understands  me  and  gets  me  through  hard  times  and  is  the  only  thing  that’s  always  there.”

said  Tanner.

Shoot  Out  Focusing  the  lens,  Paige  Walker  prepares  to  snap  a  picture  of  a  bird.  Paige  has  really  started  to  enjoy  photography  after  taking  classes  in  high  school.  “I  love  photography  because  it’s  a  faster

alternative  to  painting  or  writing  in  trying  to  capture  our  favorite  memories.  It  lets  us  relive  those  moments  in  our  head  forever.”

said  Paige.

Poke’  Pic  Sitting  in  photography  class,  Misty  Ponce  plays  Pokemon  on  her  DS.  She  has  liked  Pokemon  since  she  first  saw  it  when  she  was  little.  “I  choose  to  play  Pokemon  because  I  have  no  interest  what  so  ever  to  play  any  other  game,  nor  do  I  ever  expect  to  find  a  better  source  of  entertainment.  It’s  an  addiction  that  I  shall  never  out  grow.”  said

Misty.

                                  Calm  Before  the  Storm

Preparing  to  take  off,  Tanner  Gottschalk  checks  his  mirrors.  Tanner  was  going  to  Walmart  to  stock  up  on  food  and  supplies

before  the  winter  weather  came.  “I  am  not  allowed  to  drive  on  ice  or  snow,  so  I  try  to  get  what  I  need  before  hand.”  said  Tanner

Iced  Over  Outside  her  house,  Paige  Walker  starts  to  get  ready  to  take  off  for

school.  She  got  up  early  to  warm  up  her  car  and  de-ice  her  windshield  before  taking  off.  “I  hate  having  to  wake  up  early  just  to

prepare  my  car.”  Paige  Said

Winter  Madness  Putting  on  the  final  touches,  Tanner  Gottschalk  kneels  beside  his

creation.  On  Thursday,  the  third  day  off  of  school,  Tanner  finally  started  to  enjoy  the  winter  weather  by  transforming  what  was  originally  going  to  be  a  snow  fort  into  a  snow  monster  and  firing  paintballs  at  it.  “I  was  going  mad  being  all  cooped  up  in  the  house  so  it  was  nice  to  get  out  and

get  my  frustrations  taken  out  on  the  snow.”  Tanner  said.

In  the  Wild  Turned  to  attention,  Tanner  Gottschalk  dogs,  Rosie(right)  and

Dixie(left),  listen  to  their  owner.  Dixie  was  actually  one  of  the  pups  in  Rosie’s  last  litter  before  getting  fixed.  “I  was  sad  when  Rosie  wouldn’t  be  able  to  have  anymore  puppies,  but  I’m  glad  we  got  to  keep  Dixie.”  said

Tanner

Hiding  in  a  Book  On  the  ground,  Jennifer  Chaney  reads  a  book  about  vampires.

Jennifer  has  just  started  to  really  enjoy  reading  after  a  friend  told  her  about  a  book  she  enjoyed.  “I  love  reading.  It  allows  me  to

escape  from  the  everyday  life  and  go  to  another  place  when  things  are  bad.  It  is  like  going  to  a  world  to  escape  your  problems.”  said

Jennifer.
