Calling upon other than Allaah by way of Tawassul and Waseelah of the Prophets, graves of the saints (Awliyah), Angels and other objects has long been the means that has lead to shirk with Allaah The Most High.

This course aims to deal with numerous doubts that the mushrikeen and Ahlul Bidah of old and new bring forth as evidence to use intermediateries to get closer and call upon Allaah. By the end of this course the delegate shall have an in depth understanding of keyquestions such as:

• Some types of Waseelah are Shirk why does Allaah command us in the Quraan to seek a Waseelah to get close to him?

• Calling upon other than Allaah is shirk, why did the companions such as Ibn Umar (RadhiAllahu Anhum) call upon the Prophet when he had cramp In his foot?

• Did the prophet allow the companions (Uthmaan ibn Haneef )(RadhiAllaahu Anhu) to use him as Waseelah, and are there any authentic narrations to seek Waseelah of the Dead?

• Is there a difference in the call of the mushrikeen of old and the call of the people today using the Prophets, Angels, and Awliyah as a means of Tawassul.

• Are the graves of the Awliyah to be taken as places of blessing, Did Bilaal (RadhiAllaahu Anhu) go to the grave of Rasoolullaah (Sallalahu Alayhee Wasallam) to seek aid and assistance from him?
