O n 4th May 2017, TCB’s representatives visited Sekolah Kebangsaan Tasek, Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Chung Tack and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil Kg. Simee for the &irst Bursary disbursement in year 2017. A total of 60 students from the three schools were selected to receive &inancial assistance from TCB. This event was attended by the respective schools’ headmasters and teachers. In its running for the 7th year since the programme’s introduction in 2011, the TCB Bursary Program has succeeded in achieving its objective of providing &inancial assistance to deserving primary school students to ease their &inancial burden while pursuing their primary education and a total of 268 students had bene&itted from this programme. TCB has received positive feedback from teachers of all three schools and from students who showed their gratitude to the &inancial assistance given. TCB believes that early education is important in creating a progressive, knowledgeable and educated workforce for the future. TCB Bursary Program Labour Day Charity Visit T CB continues its annual tradition to bring cheer and joy to the less fortunate during Labour Day. TCB’s Union Committee together with TCB’s management staff made visits to charity organizations with the aim of nurturing closer ties between TCB and the local community. This year, the team visited Sekolah Semangat Maju Kg. Tawas Tasek, Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim Tambun, Good Shepherd Family Home Silibin and Rumah Sejahtera Jelapang. The homes received donations in the form of food, daily essential items and money. The purpose of the activities was to bring awareness to the community and also help nurture closer relationship between TCB staff and the less fortunate as a part of its social responsibility to the local community. TCB will continue this responsibility role in the community at large, irrespective of race, creed or religion. This approach has been and will continue to be the mainstay of TCB’s community care programmes.

RajaPermaisuriBainun, Ipoh.A total of 38TCBemployees

cameforwardtodonateblood.KudostotheTCBemployees

whoanswered thecall to give thegiftof life towards those

who are in need of blood to support an extensive range of

medical conditions as well as major operations and other

medicalinterventions.
